2007 Z51 3LT CORVETTE. MANUAL, HUD, NAV, TRANSPARENT ROOF 63.5K
Z51 3LT. Burgundy with Camel Leather interior.
I am the 2nd owner after a one year lease. I have had no mechanical issues with the car. It has been rock solid in
every way. The car has been and is amazing in my opinion. A total delight.
The Vette is respected. Always garaged or covered at my work. I do not drive in the rain, race, over-rev, stress or
abuse. I buy Lucas Oil gasoline additive by the gallon and I have added it into every tank 99.9% of the time. I
have performed two induction services, not because it needed it, but only because I am keeping the internal engine
pristine. Of course only Mobil 1 oil is used. I have rarely, maybe five times, used the air conditioner. It is ice
cold.
Washed weekly and detailed using only McGuire products and Aerospace 303. Waxed every quarter. I blow dry the car
after every hand wash. The paint has minimal swirls and is glossy. All crevices and the engine and interior are
wiped clean with a moist microfiber rag. The undercarriage and chassis is monitored at each wash and kept very
clean. The rubber is treated with silicon, the glass with alcohol. I weigh 160 lbs. The seats are firm and new
feeling. I do not smoke. I do not eat in the car. The upholstery is excellent and smells neutral or new.
The new Nitrogen filled Michelin Pilot Sport Run-Flat tires have 3K on them. The brakes are excellent. The engine
and drive train are excellent. The Battery is sealed top of the line. The rubber seals throughout the entire car
are soft and supple and excellent. The plastics are moist, shiny, preserved and protected because of the Aerospace
303. The Bose Premium Stereo is excellent. The Navigation with the stock disk and DVD player is excellent. Two
fobs, a car cover and cargo net are included.
Minor Blemishes include:
1. 1. On the hood there is a 2mm paint chip from a highway gravel which also made a similar 2mm nick on the
windshield.
2. 2. On the side top edge of the body, where the hatchback seam is located, there are some minor scratches to the
paint, as if the guy who leased it for a year let his golf bag drag across it as he was putting in into the luggage
hold.
3. 3. Car Fax Reports a minor incident that I was aware of when I purchased the car. I, myself, had it thoroughly
evaluated. I purchased the Vette, brought it home and had it fixed at my dealer. Damage Problem: The front nose
fiberglass was cracked. There was no other damage. The guy probably nosed to close to something. Solution: I had
the nose replaced at my dealer Michael Chevrolet of Fresno. I came by after work each day and witnessed each phase
of their replacement and paint matching. I requested no license plate holes.
3. 4. Corvette industries and all Dealerships will admit that the Transparent Roof will develop some micro fine
hairline striations over time. These micro fine hairline striations are unavoidable and almost undetectable. They
are inherent in the plastic.
These blemishes were there the day I purchased the car and were too minor for me to consider with such a beautiful
Vette as it is.
There are many specifications as you know, especially with the 3LT. And then there is the Z51 package to consider.
Please read up and ask if you need further clarification.
Just so you know: Dual 8 way power – heated seats, driver into/exit memory. Auto dimming rearview with compass.
Dual lighted vanity. Steering is telescopic/tilt. Navigation has a voice option. XM capable with hidden antennae in
driver side mirror. HUD and Digital displays for all fluids, gases, and G rated turns. Security Alarm.
Personal Notes: This is my second Vette. I have preserved this car since day one. The color combination is pure
class. The lines and symmetry of the body are beautiful. The engineering is exhilarating EVERY time you drive it.

GM will make Chevy Volt production announcement tomorrow
Mon, Apr 7 2014Thing are apparently happening to get the next-generation Chevy Volt ready for public consumption. The most obvious proof is in a preview of an announcement (possibly coming tomorrow) that the two main places where General Motors gets the Volt ready -the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant and the Brownstown Township battery assembly facility - will be getting big money upgrades and lots of new positions. The Hamtramck plant builds the Volt and its fancier cousin, the Cadillac ELR, as well as the global versions of the Volt. The Detroit News reports that GM will add 1,400 jobs and spend roughly $450 million at the two locations in order to build the redesigned Volt. What's less clear is exactly what the updates will bring us. We've heard that the new volt will be a 2016 model and come on a new chassis. Speculation in The Detroit News about tomorrow's announcement runs the gamut from a new compact PHEV with less electric range and a lower price (which makes sense) to an updated Volt with more electric range (heard it before) to a new all-electric vehicle (the moon shot). If there's any hints to be gleaned in the international Volts, there are also reports coming in that the Opel brand will get an all-electric vehicle that is cheaper than the Ampera. Read into that what you will. We pestered GM's Kevin Kelly on the new Volt (again) and he said (again) that he couldn't give out any more detail other than what's been reported. He just told AutoblogGreen that there will be an announcement tomorrow and that it will be about the Hamtramck and Brownstown facilities and involve the Volt. So, stay tuned.
One of the world's largest muscle car museums is auctioning off its cars
Mon, Jan 11 2021Rick Treworgy's Muscle Car City is one of the biggest collections of high-performance American cars in the world. With over 200 cars of mostly GM makes, it's a mecca for fans of the golden age of Detroit iron. Unfortunately, the museum will be shutting its doors for good on Jan. 17 and auctioning off most of its assets with no reserve. The collection is, to put it bluntly, astounding. Advertised as a combined 65,000-plus horsepower, it occupies a 60,000-square-foot retail space in Punta Gorda, Fla., in a former Walmart store. It make sense when you learn that founder Rick Treworgy made his fortune in the commercial real estate business. As a hobby, he began to amass a truly jaw-dropping collection of muscle cars, filling out a collection that often has every year of a particular model represented, or a grouping of the rarest and highest-performance option packages of that year or model. Often, Treworgy bought placeholders while scouring the country for even rarer versions. It helps that Muscle Car City also houses a showroom where unwanted cars are sold, as well as its own speed shop that stocks plenty of parts. There's even a '50s-style diner called Stingray's Bar and Grill. According to a 2014 episode of Car Crazy, Treworgy has 80 Corvettes alone, more than the actual Corvette Museum. Among them are 20 models from 1967, one of Treworgy's favorites. The rest span the decades from 1954 (he once had a '53 but sold it) to a recently acquired 2020 C8, which, according to The Drive, has only 300 miles on the odometer. You like Impalas? There are models of every year from 1958 to 1969. El Caminos? He's got 'em from 1964 to 1972. Novas? Every year from 1963 to 1970 is represented. Most are the more desirable examples of each breed, with four-speed transmissions, the biggest blocks, and unicorn option packages like a factory 1965 Z16 SS396 Chevelle, one of 200 that were ordered off-menu at Chevy dealerships. And don't even get us started on the Camaros, which include not one, but two COPO 1969s. Treworgy even owns the only known surviving example of a 1936 Chevrolet Phaeton, of which only seven were built. On top of it all, many of these cars are concours quality and have won awards at prestigious car shows. While it's sad to see a collection like this broken up, Treworgy told The Drive that he'd been planning to retire next year anyway. However, the COVID-19 pandemic sped up those plans, greatly reducing the number of visitors to his museum.
