Selling my BEAUTIFUL 1987 REMOVEABLE "TARGA" TOP Corvette, C4 L98 350 Manual 4 Speed + 3 of Overdrive.

This is a North County California car, I am the second owner and have had it since 2005, 1st owner was a lady from Rancho Penasquitos, Ca. that I used to work with, I live in Oceanside Ca. All non smokers.

This style Corvette, (The C4) origianlly came out in 1984 and they used the same body style through 1996
When it first came out, it was the most technically advance vehicle you could buy.
Fiberglass body,
Monocoque chassis

Engine is a High performance 350 (5.7 L L98)
4 speed manual trans with 3 speeds of overdrive (A Doug Nash 4+3)
Fully functional digital instrumentation.
Fully Functional Glass hatchback
Removeable Top "TARGA TOP"
A/C, power disk brakes
Power steering
Telescopic Tilt steering
Cruise Control (not working)
Power windows
AM/FM CD Player.
The interior was done in black, the seats were done in REAL BLACK LEATHER along with the steering wheel and the headliner to the removeable top.
New Corvette black carpet was installed.
All new weather stripping everywhere.
New interior door panels.
New floor mats.
New Tires

If you like muscle cars, this car will definetly get your blood flowing. This baby HAULS!!!
Very low to the ground, it handles like a Go Kart, the steering is very tight, and precise, a slight turn here and a slight turn there and it's there, there's no swaing back and forth.

Exterior and Interior of car has been freshly maticulously restored, I decided to restore it ONLY because it was a 4 speed. It runs great, nice and smooth running. I have not messed with the engine. It has always passed smog without a hitch.

Gas milage is about 19MPG

I've owned the car since 2005 and it's been ALLOT of fun, runs GREAT, very dependable.
The restoration was finished 2 years ago. It's a VERY Clean car, has NEVER been in any kind of wreck, perfectly straight and get ALLOT of looks.

I am selling it, because, I just bought a 69 Firebird project car, which I am going to restore and clone it into a 69 Trans Am, I need the money from the Vette to finish the Trans Am

This is a $3000 paint job, Color is a beautiful Chevy Marina Blue
Was painted with 3 base coats of PPG Marina Blue (Metallic), then immediately shot with 3 coats of PPG Concept 2000 Clear, after 48 hours of drying the entire car was color sanded and buffed out to give you that deep show car gloss. It is absolutely beautiful.

Minor problems with car: Cruise Control doesn't work, wouldn't cost much to get it working again, for me, with a 4 speed? Never would use it.
Trany has a minor leak that drips 1 or 2 drops onto the exhaust system, to repair the leak the tranny would have to be removed. Not that big an issue. No puddles or anything like that.
Wipers work fine, but they don't squirt water.

Has a new power antenna, but stoopped working a few months back.
Outside of that, it runs GREAT! Always passes smog without a problem.

I realize it's a HIGH milage car, but it's ALL highway miles, if you've been to California you'll know, to get anywere you have to be on a highway. You can easily put 150 miles per day on a daily driver, this was.

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.

Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond

Thu, Dec 28 2017

Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.
