From the famed Wade Williams Collection this white beauty is
FAST, very FAST. It has been in storage for many years and is back on he
road. The car has added horsepower I am told because the mufflers end behind
the catalytic converters witch have been howled out giving the engine an exciting low sound.
It drive down the road as it should for the mileage.
The paint has a few nicks and touch ups but over all this car presents well,
drives well and is FAST.
It gets 14 to 20 miles in the city and 20 to 28 on the highway.
These cars are way under priced and this car has a low reserve because it is
here to sell. I have 30 cars and am losing storage. This car will sell at a bargain.
The manual transmission with overdrive is desirable and this car with a little
TLC will only appreciate in value.
The car is sold as-is. No warranty, guarantee or other promise as to the
condition of the car is given or implied. The mileage is believed to be
true and was represented to me as true when I bought it. No returns for
and reason, all sales final.
I have not driven this car on a trip, only around town so I always suggest
that a classic car be hauled to the destination and not driven on a long
trip until it has been driven locally and proves itself . It can be inspected
in Kansas City prior to the end of bidding. Contact Seller.
It is up to the winning bidder to arrange for shipment of the vehicle.
A $ 500.00 deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of winning
the bid and the balance due within seven days.
The sticker price new when the car was sold at Phillips Chevrolet on
September 11, 1985 was $ 31.387.00.
I believe this is a nice car and will be sold way under what it should
bring.

GM will make Chevy Volt production announcement tomorrow
Mon, Apr 7 2014Thing are apparently happening to get the next-generation Chevy Volt ready for public consumption. The most obvious proof is in a preview of an announcement (possibly coming tomorrow) that the two main places where General Motors gets the Volt ready -the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant and the Brownstown Township battery assembly facility - will be getting big money upgrades and lots of new positions. The Hamtramck plant builds the Volt and its fancier cousin, the Cadillac ELR, as well as the global versions of the Volt. The Detroit News reports that GM will add 1,400 jobs and spend roughly $450 million at the two locations in order to build the redesigned Volt. What's less clear is exactly what the updates will bring us. We've heard that the new volt will be a 2016 model and come on a new chassis. Speculation in The Detroit News about tomorrow's announcement runs the gamut from a new compact PHEV with less electric range and a lower price (which makes sense) to an updated Volt with more electric range (heard it before) to a new all-electric vehicle (the moon shot). If there's any hints to be gleaned in the international Volts, there are also reports coming in that the Opel brand will get an all-electric vehicle that is cheaper than the Ampera. Read into that what you will. We pestered GM's Kevin Kelly on the new Volt (again) and he said (again) that he couldn't give out any more detail other than what's been reported. He just told AutoblogGreen that there will be an announcement tomorrow and that it will be about the Hamtramck and Brownstown facilities and involve the Volt. So, stay tuned.
U.S. new-vehicle sales in 2018 rise slightly to 17.27 million [UPDATE]
Thu, Jan 3 2019DETROIT — Sales of new vehicles in the U.S. rose slightly in 2018, defying predictions and highlighting a strong economy. Automakers reported an increase of 0.3 percent over a year ago to 17.27 million vehicles. The increase came despite rising interest rates, a volatile stock market, and rising car and truck prices that pushed some buyers out of the new-vehicle market. Industry analysts and automakers said strong economic fundamentals pushed up sales and should keep them near historic highs in 2019. "Economic conditions in the U.S. are favorable and should continue to be supportive of vehicle sales at or around their current run rate," Ford Chief Economist Emily Kolinski Morris said after the company and other automakers announced their sales numbers Thursday. That auto sales remain near the 2016 record of 17.55 million is a testimonial to the strength of the economy, said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics. The job market, he said, has created new employment, and wage growth has accelerated. "That's fundamental to selling anything," he said. "If there are lots of jobs and people are getting bigger paychecks, they will buy more." The unemployment rate is 3.7 percent, a 49-year low. The economy is thought to have grown close to 3 percent last year, its best performance in more than a decade. Consumers, the main driver of the economy, are spending freely. The Federal Reserve raised its key interest rate four times in 2018 but is only expected to raise it twice this year. Auto sales also were helped by low gasoline prices and rising home values, Zandi said. It all means that people are likely to keep buying new vehicles this year even as they grow more expensive. The Edmunds.com auto-pricing site estimates that the average new vehicle price hit a record $35,957 in December, about 2 percent higher than the previous year. It will be harder for automakers to keep the sales pace above 17 million because they have been enticing buyers for several years now with low-interest financing and other incentives, Zandi said. He predicts more deals in the coming year as job growth slows and credit tightens for higher-risk buyers. Edmunds, which provides content, including automotive tips and reviews, for distribution by The Associated Press, predicts that sales will drop this year to 16.9 million.
Camo'd Chevy Camaro ZL1 is one bad boy
Tue, Sep 15 2015Thanks to a fresh gallery of spy shots, we're getting a much better look at the next Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 during its development, and this machine is looking seriously mean. Unlike the last photos, the heavy cladding is gone from the body this time and is replaced by a camouflage wrap. That switch makes checking out the details a whole lot easier. The first thing you'll notice at the front is the massive grille that looks ready to devour anything that gets in the way. To add a little more menace, the lower air dam appears to jut out a bit more, as well. While harder to see in these latest shots, our spies say the hood still boasts an extractor similar to what's found on the Cadillac CTS-V. The big, double spoke wheels look great in black and really dominate the styling in profile. Look past them, and you notice some tweaked side sills, as well. At the very back, you can also spot some styling adjustments to the rear bumper. There's an unmissable wing back there, too. The powerplant for the ZL1 is still a mystery, but it's rumored to use the LT4 6.2-liter supercharged V8. The similar hood design as the CTS-V is one piece of evidence to support that. Even with the same engine, Chevy's engineers could tweak the output higher or lower than the Caddy. The wait to find out isn't too long because the ZL1 is anticipated to launch for the 2017 model year. Related Video:
