Here we have a 1975 Corvette Stingray w/TTops. This car has been recently restored by a professional, Michigan registered repair facility . The paint is crystal red candy, which is on the 2013 Corvette. It is a 3 stage candy paint and is absolutely beautiful. Only high quality materials and paint were used on this car. The body is in excellent shape, no cracks, scratches, chips etc. The under carriage has been completely undercoated for future protection. All the glass (windows) is in great shape, no cracks, chips, gouges etc. The black interior of this corvette is in decent shape. Seats, carpet, console, dash are in good shape. The motor is a carburetted 5.7 liter (350). It has a edelbrock carburettor, aluminium intake. Has accel coil in distributer w/8.8 Accell plug wires. Has aluminium edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers. Has headers and duel exhaust with flow master mufflers. Motor originally was equipped with A/C, but pump has been removed, probably to increase horsepower. The odometer has 88,799 miles. This car has chrome crager wheels that are in decent shape. There is some peeling and small corrosion spots but they still look good and shine well. The front tires are Radial GT HP 4000 P 245/60 R15 and rears are P275/60 R15 and tires are have 60% Good tread. Lots of miles left on them. The stereo is a Panasonic CQ-C11010 50 Wattx4 CD player. Car has factory tachometer and a 8000 RPM Sunpro tack attached to steering column. Transmission is an Automatic and shifts good and smoothly. Shifter on floor (console), all chrome, emblems, trim and T Tops are present and in good shape (original). Imperfections on this car are minimal. The headlights are up all the time. I haven't had a professional mechanic look at them but I heard it could be a couple seals that are less than $20.00. The interior has some imperfections, scratches on headliner . Some cracks in rear panels (Behind Seats). The heater blower switch is bad, heater blower motor works fine (has been tested) the switch is bad. The driver side window goes down fine, when going up it needs guided by hand. Again I haven't had a professional look at it. It does go all the way down and 3/4 of the way up without assistance. This car is in excellent mechanical condition (Other than issues listed). The brakes are like new, pads, rotors, callipers etc. The shocks are good the rear has air shocks on it. The front and rear bumpers have been smoothed out. No gaps or waves that most Corvette bumpers have. Extra time and money were invested in this cars body work and paint work to get it to look as beautiful as it does. The pictures of this car do it no justice, the colour is very pretty, and the shine is as good fi not better than any Corvette around. It has chrome Hot Rod style mirrors on both driver and passenger side. (They look good) This whole car was water sanded and buffed to a lustre that will even stand out at car shows. All lights, blinkers, power windows, etc. works fine. As far as drivability we bought this Corvette in Ohio and drove it straight home to Michigan approximately 2 1/2 hours and had no problems. It was very smooth riding for a Corvette. Other than the drive home I haven't put a lot of miles on it. We have too much time and money in this car to be driving it around and have something happen to it. SO after the restoration we have stored it inside and covered with a car cover.(which comes with the car to the winning bidder) We have access to financing as low as 5.99%, the average loan value is approximately $15,000 and the good loan value is approximately $24,000. If your the winning bidder a $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours is expected. We have 100% positive feedback, for a good reason, because I am honest with the condition of all items I sell. Do not bid if you don't have access to the money or financing!!! We are not giving this car away, the reserve is set at a fair price. The restoration of this cars body would cost a minimum of $10,000 and that's on the low side considering its a 3 stage candy paint, with extensive priming and blocking and all that goes with the show quality paint work. This car looks like its doing 100mph sitting still!! Good Luck bidding Guys and Gals!! If you have any questions regarding the vehicle other than the reserve feel free to call Scott at 517-960-9363. We are not telling the reserve so bid according to what you plan on paying.

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. Recharge Wrap-up: BYD unveils 60-ft electric bus, Honda sticking with hybrids in Europe
Thu, Oct 16 2014BYD has debuted a 60-foot electric bus at the American Public Transportation Association Expo in Houston, TX. The Lancaster bus, as it is called, has a 120-passenger capacity and can drive over 170 miles on a single charge. The articulated bus features low floors and no steps, thanks to in-wheel hub motors. BYD also displayed a 40-foot electric bus that drove the 1,500 miles to the show under its own power (recharging along the way, of course). Read more in the press release below. Honda says it will continue to sell hybrids in Europe, despite the fact that it has stopped selling the CR-Z and Insight due to slow sales. "Our focus at the moment is on our 1.6-liter diesel but we haven't forgotten about hybrid technology," says Honda Europe's Philip Ross. Honda will sell the next-generation Fit (badged as the Jazz) in Europe when it launches next summer, and will sell the next-gen hybrid version beginning in 2016. Honda sold 4,500 of the Jazz hybrid in Europe last year. Read more at Automotive News. XL Hybrids is selling its XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive System in California. The news comes after the California Air Resources Board issued an executive order allowing the aftermarket hybrid conversion for 2012-2014 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. The XL3 Hybrid regenerative braking conversion increases real-world mpg by about 25 percent. Read more in the press release below. NRG eVgo has finished installing 60 charging stations at the Sony Pictures Entertainment studio lot and offices in Culver City, California. The Level 2 chargers, which will be managed by NRG eVgo, allow employees to charge their EVs during the workday. An average of 90 EVs and PHEVs park at the studio headquarters every day, thanks in part to Sony Pictures' Alternative Vehicles Incentive program for its employees. Learn more in the press release below. Pennsylvania's Public Utility Commission will allow operators of EV charging stations to set prices based on kilowatt hour usage. This change ensures that drivers pay for the actual energy they use, rather than the time they spend charging, since different cars can charge at different speeds. Car Charging Group has already begun using the per-kWh fee structure at its charging stations throughout the state. Other states that allow kWh pricing are California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Virginia and Washington. Read more in the press release below.
GM CEO Barra says 'we are selling every truck we can build'
Tue, Jun 14 2022DETROIT — General Motors Chief Executive Mary Barra said on Monday the automaker is "selling every truck we can build" and expanding North American truck-building capacity, even as U.S. gasoline prices hit record highs. Barra made her comments during the automaker's annual shareholder meeting. GM is pursuing a two-track strategy: Investing heavily in electric vehicles for North America, China and other markets, and funding those investments by trying to maximize profits from its North American combustion pickup truck and large SUV lineups. Barra said GM is planning higher-priced versions of its Silverado large pickup and its large SUV models. GM and its Detroit rivals Ford Motor Co and Stellantis NV rely heavily on sales of large pickup trucks and SUVs for global profits. High U.S. gasoline prices in the past have undermined consumer demand for relatively inefficient models. Nominal pump prices hit an average of above $5 a gallon for the first time ever last week, the federal government said Friday. GM is ramping up production of EVs. Barra said the Cadillac Lyriq electric sport utility is sold out through 2023. In response to shareholder questions, Barra said the "clear priority" for using cash generated by its operations is to "accelerate our EV plans." She did not rule out share buybacks or other approaches to returning cash to shareholders. GM still expects to increase production this year by 25-30%, despite continuing pressure on semiconductor supplies globally. Barra said GM is working to redesign vehicles to reduce the number of processors required by 95%. Barra serves as GM's board chair and CEO. GM shareholders overwhelmingly rejected a proposal to separate those roles.
