This is my 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe in Ermine white with black interior. It’s got the factory matching numbers 327CI–350HP engine with a Muncie 4-speed transmission and 3:55 positraction rear end. Actually, it’s a very low optioned car with only a tinted windshield, am/fm radio, rare shoulder belts and the above mentioned options. It’s also an AO Smith (St Louis) built car completed the month before all C2 Corvettes ceased production (July 23,1967). I have a clear title, original protecto plate, tank sticker, owner’s manual, NCRS judging sheets and an original set of keys with 2 sets of GM newer style keys. I also have a reproduction of the window label and order sheet.

It was properly NCRS judged years ago and scored very high so it’s all correct with the exception of the black leather seats which replaced the factory vinyl. The red line tires are Coker radials for drivability. The battery is a modern no maintenance type. EVERYTHING works with the exception of the clock. The minute hand sweeps but the hour hands don’t move so it’s only correct twice a day. All of the gauges, lights, horn, am/fm radio and wipers work. I bought a new OEM headlamp toggle switch because the original one stopped working. As soon as I received the new one, the old one started working again but I will include it with the car anyway.

The car drives, stops and handles just like a vintage Corvette should. I took it to my local GM dealer after buying it and told them to go over the car completely and fix/repair - anything/everything they could find. Only 2 things on the ENTIRE car needing attention was a complete radiator/cooling system flush and an oil change. The mechanics and service writer both remarked on how exceptional the mechanical condition was on this 50 year old car. Whoever rebuilt the matching numbers drive train knew what they were doing. It sounds more like a big block (I had a 427 ’69 Corvette before this one so I know) and it pulls like a freight train. No power steering or brakes but on such a light car, easy enough to drive and park. No rattles, shimmies, weird sounds, smells or leaks. Get in, 3 or 4 pumps of the gas and it fires up 100% of the time.

The original interior and all the glass are excellent. The paint shines really nice and I would classify it as a high end driver. Just get in this one, start it up and drive it ANYWHERE and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on a power tour tomorrow. The engine compartment looks fantastic and the under carriage has all the factory paint marks duplicated.

Chevy previews 2016 Malibu ahead of New York debut

Thu, Mar 5 2015

With everything going on in Geneva this week, it would be all-too easy to forget that there's still stuff going on back home in America. And the upcoming new Chevy Malibu is a prime example. Chevrolet has announced that it is bringing an all-new Malibu to the New York Auto Show next month, teasing us with this preview image and a few enticing details. For starters, when we say it's all new, this time we mean it's all new. The next-generation Malibu has been built on a new platform that uses more high-strength steel to cut 300 pounds off the curb weight compared to the outgoing model. It's also got a wheelbase that's almost four inches longer, with shorter overhangs front and rear and a roofline that tapers stylishly and more gradually towards the tail. We'll have to wait a little longer – but not too much longer – to find out more, but in the meantime you can read what Chevy's telling us so far in the press release below. Born Again: Next-Gen Chevrolet Malibu Announced Larger, lighter and more efficient Malibu to be unveiled at New York Auto Show 2015-03-04 DETROIT – Designed to deliver more efficiency, connectivity and advanced safety features than ever, the next-generation 2016 Chevrolet Malibu will make its public debut at the New York International Auto Show this April. Using a blank slate approach, Chevrolet designers benefited from an entirely new architecture, which for Malibu includes a wheelbase nearly four inches longer than the outgoing model. That, in turn, provides increased rear legroom and interior space. Due to a higher-strength steel structure, the new Malibu is also expected to be 300 pounds lighter than the current model, which benefits the sedan's fuel economy and handling. "Malibu's gorgeous styling is the result of a masterful understanding of proportions," said Ed Welburn, General Motors' vice president of Global Design. "The roofline has been stretched rearward giving a more sleek profile, while the front wheels have moved forward and front and rear overhangs have been reduced. Along with the sculpted body side, these cues help Malibu appear more dynamic and sophisticated." More details about the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu will be shared each week leading up to the vehicle's global debut. The 2016 Malibu is expected to go on sale by the end of 2015. Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world's largest car brands, doing business in more than 115 countries and selling around 4.8 million cars and trucks a year.
