1972 Chevy Short bed Cheyenne, Project.
This truck was sold new at John Geer Chevrolet in Sacramento, CA. It has had three owners and never lived more than 50 miles from the dealership. Built in the Freemont Plant. I have the original Build sheet for this truck, Original owners manual, copy of old title and back reg. It has both CA Blue plates. Clear title in hand, current registration. This is a Cheyenne equipped Shortbed truck from the factory. Was all white with Olive interior. Upper and lower belt moldings, Air conditioning, Power Steering and power brakes. 3.73 rear end. See photos of Build Sheet. I believe the engine has been replaced. And it has a 700r4 Overdrive Trans in it. It runs good, has good oil pressure and shifts nicely. It is fun to drive, very tight and can go anywhere today. It does mark its spot. The exhaust is funky side piped with Kerker Mufflers, but I'll admit it does sounds great. Lights and electrical all are in working order. It really does drive nice. Body wise it is better than it looks in photos. very straight, good body lines and ZERO rust, EVER. It is solid! Yes it needs cosmetic restoration, but has potential to be one of the best if in the right hands. I have the original steering wheel, AC Compressor and bracket, And original Bench seat. Also original emblems, original radio, original spare tire carrier. I put the 72 GMC tailgate on it. It is just a coincidence that it was from an all white truck. It was better than the one on it and new trim will cover it anyway. The truck has $3000 in new parts. New American Racing Torque Thrust 17" Wheels New BFG tires New battery New Alt New front brakes New CPP drop spindles New CPP rear lowering blocks New Brake Master and power Booster New tail light lenses New parts included but not installed- New OEM grill (not aftermarket cheap one) $375 Newly plated correct original front bumper, show quality New Marker Lights New tail light trim I have over $10k into the truck but recently bought a "bucket list car" I have always wanted, a vintage Porsche. Jay Leno drives Joe Rogan's '65 Chevy Corvette restomod
Tue, Sep 1 2015Restomod classics often look great rolling down the road, but they can be an absolute mess underneath. That's the problem comedian Joe Rogan discovered after purchasing his 1965 Corvette convertible that was already extensively modified. Once work began to improve it further, some serious issues were discovered. Now, Rogan's rejuvenated 'Vette has received a thorough update on the latest, extra-long edition of Jay Leno's Garage. Rogan's additional upgrades include a new interior and adding nacelles behind the seats. Power is up thanks to a supercharger for the LS1 V8. Now only do you get to hear the engine roar, but Leno and Rogan also take the convertible for a long ride in the Los Angeles hills. They reminisce about liking cars as kids, the current state of General Motors, and Rogan's work with the UFC. Leno also shares a funny story about a confusing discussion with Marlon Brando. With the beautiful 'Vette and the great conversation, there's a lot here to like. Related Video:
2016 Chevy Camaro performance figures released
Mon, Sep 14 2015If you want to make a car faster, there are two sure-fire ways to get the job done – add power and/or reduce weight. Chevy has done both for the 2016 Camaro, putting as much as 455 horsepower into its muscle coupe and shaving a few hundred pounds from every trim. That range-topping power comes courtesy of a 6.2-liter V8 engine, and it's enough grunt to push an automatic-equipped Camaro SS to 60 miles per hour in just 4.0 seconds flat (4.3 seconds with a manual) and down the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds at 116 mph (12.5 at 115 for the stick). Not coincidentally, those acceleration specs, at least on paper, put the V8-powered Camaro SS just above the Mustang GT on the muscle-car pecking order. When the road gets twisty, Chevy claims the Camaro SS can generate as much as .97 g on the skidpad. And, thanks in part to its Goodyear Eagle F1 summer tires, the SS can stop from 60 in as little as 117 feet. We look forward to finding out how nimble the new Camaro feels when compared to its primary competitors. <p>Your browser does not support iframes.</p> Moving down one notch to the 335-hp 3.6-liter V6, properly equipped 2016 Camaro coupes can hit 60 in as few as 5.1 seconds and cover the quarter in 13.5 at 103. Perhaps even more intriguingly, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and its 275 horsepower (the only configuration quicker with a manual transmission, incidentally) can propel the Camaro to 60 in 5.4 seconds and through the 'ol 1320 in 14 seconds flat. That's seriously quick, but buyers comparing the Camaro to the Mustang will find that the EcoBoost 2.3-liter is a bit more powerful (310 hp and 320 lb-ft) and quicker (5.1 seconds to 60). Chevy is making lots of noise about the efforts its engineers went through to shed weight from the 2016 Camaro, going so far as to shave down suspension bolts so that no thread went unthreaded. The weight-saving obsession pays off – base Camaro models are down 390 pounds while the SS model drops 223 pounds over the 2015. The 2016 Camaro SS boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 8.1 lbs per pony, a 14-percent improvement over the last-gen. Even though weight is down, chassis stiffness is said to be up by 28 percent over the fifth-gen Camaro coupe. Also of note: The Camaro is now lighter than the Mustang across the board when comparing like-to-like configuration levels. The 2016 Chevy Camaro starts at $26,695 (including $995 for destination).

Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. There are big trucks, little trucks, clean trucks, dirty trucks, old trucks, new trucks, red trucks, blue trucks. It's like a Dr. Seuss book.
