You are bidding on a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Original SS. I have owned this car for 30 years. The only thing that is not original is the motor and the wheels. They were already gone when i bought it. It now has a 355cid/400hp small block chevy in it. Motor was built by Seth's Machine Shop in Beaver Springs Pa. Scat Rods, Eagle Crank, TRW Pistons, Pro Topline steel 62cc heads. 205x1.60 valves, Scorpion roller 1.5x1.5 rockers, Speed Pro Camshaft, Edelborck intake, topped with a Holley 650 double pumper carb. Car lopes a little when your trying to putt around. Motor has less than 500 miles on it since install. Transmission is a Muncy 4 speed with a hurst shifter coupled to a gm 12 bolt positraction rearend with 4;11 gears. original 3:31 gears will come with the car if i can find them. They are in storage somewhere. Original build sheet included with the car. Car is a solid original SS with documentation to prove it. Paint is enamel paint. No clear on this one. Held up very well for being repainted 25 years ago!!! Interior is flawless except for the cassette player i had to have 20 years ago. All interior lights work including the one on the back of the rear console. Trunk and floors are solid. Drivers side quarter had a repair at one time. There is a small 1/4 inch hairline crack in the paint. Not noticeable unless i point it out. That same quarter has a body line that runs a little untrue with the rear left side of the rear bumper. To tell you the truth i never noticed it until someone pointed it out to me. I bought it that way and never payed attention to it. Like i said i owned this girl for 30 years but its time to let her go. We are moving and im not taking her with. See photos for more detail. Email me or you can contact me with any questions. 717-513-2677. A Paypal deposit of  $500 due at end of auction. Payment in full at time of pickup. Cash only for pickup payment.

Chevy trademark for E-Ray may signal Corvette hybrid or EV

Mon, Dec 21 2015

A spy photographer and friend of Autoblog Chris Doane spotted this trademark filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office, and there's not much to it: Chevy is calling dibs on the "Corvette E-Ray" name, and that raises more questions than answers. Being obsessed with this industry is an Autoblog core value, and Corvette is perennially a big deal. It's also historically, and famously, resistant to change. So what's going on here? Unless it's a pure show car, it's unlikely the E-Ray will be a C7-based hybrid. The current Corvette is a tightly-packaged thing, and batteries are bulky. That makes a concept of some sort all the more likely, especially with the Detroit Auto Show coming up. Unconstrained by the packaging of the real-world Stingray, this E-Ray concept may be a pure EV, or a hybrid, of any configuration. GM has built mid-engined Corvette concept cars in the past, and maybe we'll see one again in a few weeks. A gutted C7 with a pure EV drivetrain is also a remote possibility, although less likely – the Stingray wasn't engineered with that in mind, and we think GM's too big to show off a hack-job at a major auto show. Not that it is a Corvette competitor, but don't forget that the Tesla Model S P85D and it's P90D successor have taken pure EV performance into the mainstream – the upper end of the mainstream, to be sure. It has been enough to draw industry performance players into the genre. Look at Aston Martin's production-possible RapidE concept, a pure EV, and the confirmed-for-production Porsche Mission E. We've heard rumblings in the past that Corvette may become a marque unto itself, spawning a variety of variants (including the hypothesized mid-engined production car – don't hold your breath). Perhaps the gas-powered C8, in whatever form it takes, will be complemented with a greener version. We'll try to dig up insider information about what the E-Ray will reveal itself to be, but rest assured that if it shows up at Detroit we'll bring you analysis of every inch of it.Related Video: Featured Gallery 2016 Chevy Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition View 9 Photos Tip: Chris Doane/Facebook Green Rumormill Detroit Auto Show Chevrolet Electric Future Vehicles Hybrid Performance corvette stingray

There are still 6,000 first-gen Chevy Volts on dealer lots

Sun, May 24 2015

The next-gen 2016 Chevrolet Volt looks to be a pretty fantastic vehicle with more electric driving range, better fuel economy than its predecessor, and a lower starting price. However, if you're looking for a deal, the 2015 model of the plug-in hybrid might not be a bad place to check because Chevy has a ton of them to get rid of. According to The Detroit Free Press, there are around 6,000 examples of the 2015 Volts that are still sitting on dealer lots. That might not sound like a lot, but Chevy only sold 905 of them in April and 2,779 through that month in 2015. It moved 18,805 of the PHEVs for all of 2014. Buyers are in a pretty good spot to haggle at the moment, too, with the a new Volt right around the corner. According to The Detroit Free Press based on TrueCar figures, the current average closing price for a 2015 model is $30,607 before any federal or state tax credits. You can also lease one for 39 months for $299 a month and $1,649 due at signing. In April, Chevy was reportedly offering customers 2.9-percent financing for 48 months and leases with no money down for buyers trading in a vehicle from a competitor. Of course, there's also always the option to buy a pre-owned example. Just a few months ago, prices for used Volts were reportedly as low as $13,000 at auction.

Chevy Bolt interior spied for first time

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Chevrolet is continuing work on its Bolt EV, but thanks to some public-road testing in what looks to be somewhere in Michigan, we've captured our first look at the new hatchback's screen-intensive dash. Looking like a blend of the Chevy Sonic with the new Volt, the Bolt's interior follows a simple formula, offering a digital display in place of the traditional instrument cluster alongside a large, prominent display in the center stack. Nothing too shocking, except for the fact that both displays look larger than what's in the Volt. What's most surprising, though, is the shifter. It looks almost BMW-like in appearance. There's a dedicated park button accessible by the driver's thumb, and we're guessing a trigger on the front that can toggle the lever forward into reverse and backwards into drive. The central display, meanwhile, looks like it's running some very different looking software, compared to Chevy's usual MyLink fare. We can't be sure whether this is simply some development software that's free of polish and not intended for production, or a look at a new form of Chevy's connectivity suite. Aside from some different wheels, the exterior of this prototype looks unchanged from the last round of spy photos we captured of the new Bolt. Sorry kids, no new exterior styling to show you today. Still, we've included the entire crop of spy images, covering a variety of exterior angles along with several shots of the interior. Related Video:
