This is a one owner 1969 Malibu Chevelle with factory matching # 350 PS , PB & AC , auto 350 tranny... was purchase by me in 9/12 of last year from origional owner . i paid $3800.It was a good deal but the vinyl top was rusted through really bad as was the deck. That was the only rust on the car it was a CALIFORNIA car  . origional engine leaked &. It was retired in 1990 had 200K . Factory GM replacement was installed at chevy. Both engines are included will get back to them. Because the roof area was the only rusted area & the rear 1/4's were repaired & had bondo & front fenders had danage. the right thing to do was replace them all the are all goodmark sheetmetal  They are cut , welded , grinded, smoothed & just just need to be caulked/sealed on the edges. The drip rails bcz of the vynal top the edges need to be covered with a chrome rail accent. The body is 98% straight needs to be lined up primed & a nice finish coat of azure torquise should do 2 stage with clear. So while the 1/4's & roof were off , all the surface rust was wire wheeled off & repainted. same as the frame. . This was sprayed on with a oil based gloss black paint (rustolium from home depot) I was unable to get powder-coated due to budget. It looks really nice engine bay, dash & underside is fresh paint. I did put some new parts when it was apart.

Chrome hood hindges & old one too. Now has 12 bolt (had non-posi)  now has front Disc brakes & new brake hoses hardware .Dual exhust & chrome smaller power brake booster  (from 70 montycarlo SS  i parted out & keep them for the chevelle) New E brake & speedo cable. all origional suspension is  replaced uppers, lowers rfont & rear including the A arm bumpers  , Tranny was running perfect so that is cleaned new gasket & pan painted chevy orange. I have the fluid to refill too.. All the glass is there accept front windshield isnt (cost $160) driver window has some scratches. all interior is origional bench seat door panels  everything is removed w/o any rubber or glass in doors or window felt. the interior kit is about $1500 .

The engine : well actually it's 2 engines you get. the first one is a 1990 GM 350 that is intact & coulld be put back into the car. The parts really need to be removed & put on the matching 350 4 bolt main that came out origionaly. Its 1/2 completed. dipped & standard boar new rebuild kit with new cam, pistons & 2 cranks  (old one has broken bolt  & new one is in box. The heads are rebuilt. old radiator i have but will include my idea on the cooling was to do a aluminum racing radatior & electric fan . New in box hooker headers & chrome oil pan, vintage edlebrock aluminum manifold & new chrome valve covers & chrome ez off bolts. .Switching out the other parts from the old non stock engine.& dressing up the origional block.  resell or use the 1990 350 for another project its easily worth $750)

It comes with both bumpers straight & decent chrome, 2 sets of tail lenses , jack some extra parts .white interior dupont vinyl roll of upholstry for the rear deck or to wrap the dash pad. . extra keys , new power steering pump. The harrison radio & a/c controls need to be instaled or you might replaced it was cracked repaired & painted the black like everything else. steering wheel is also cracked too . it is not a tilt . If you want to make it a SS that would be changed anyway.  Tire were 14's now there after market 15" rally rims with roller tires no center hubs 3 accent rings.  Entire undercarriage is perfect. The dual exhust are from the monty  (they're 6 inches longer) they need to be cut & connected to the new hooker headers. its under the car already. I still have the single exhust & headers to include if wanted .

The is a one time listing if it doesnt sell for the listed price or i will have to complete the project. I'm only selling for stupid reasons . Time to finish-labor hours., moneys tight needs about 4K minium to finish paint-engine & interior - new grille & chrome in a few places. My son just started college and wants no part of the restoration project anymore & wants to educate himself. so if it sells for what i have into it great. There has been alot of hours spent to get to this point. If it doesnt sell , It will be a nice christmas present for me. we stoped working on it due to needing a new crank for the engine that we have now & it just got too hot.

Please ask questions if interested. i'm not interesrted in selling any parts. just everything i have for the car that came with it or i have pictured or mentioned . alot of the dirty hard work is done .  Pictures of all progress are included & can be emailed . comes with dealer invoice origional CA title from 1968 might come with origional CA 1968 tags if the origional owner can find them. says in attic & its too hot to find them.

The frame was straightened recently. - so its prefectly straight now. the passenger rear inner wheel well took a hit in its life & was replaced thats why frame straightening was needed- front cowl passenger side has some minor bends from another fender bender (not too noticable) but i didnt repair that bcz you cant see it with the grill & everyting

This is my project & my chevelle in parts & pieces located in vegas buyer to pick up or have shipper be aware in-op & might not be able to fit both engines & parts in the car? so buyer covers all shipping

Chevy to resume engine-building program for 2015 Corvette Z06

Thu, Jan 8 2015

One of Chevrolet's most popular and unique customer features is set to return for 2015, as the company has announced that the Engine Build Experience is back. Interested owners will be able to screw together their engines beginning in March. The $5,000 option (which does not include the cost of travel) will give future owners of the 2015 Corvette Z06 the chance to screw together their car's actual 6.2-liter, supercharged V8. Available on each of the Z06's three trims, the Engine Build Experience includes a day at the Performance Build Center, instruction from an engine assembly tech, photographs of the experience and a personalized engine plaque. Once the build process is completed, the engine will (eventually) be fitted under the hood of the customer's personal Z06. "Chevrolet recognizes the passion customers have for Corvette and the Engine Build Experience offers them a truly unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in the creation of the heart of their new car," Corvette product manager Harlan Charles. "It's important for customers to understand their engine won't be installed the day after they built it. It will flow into the scheduling process for vehicle assembly, which depends on a number of logistical variables." Scroll down for the official announcement of the Z06's Engine Build Experience, available below. Exclusive Corvette Engine Build Experience Returns Program renewed for supercharged LT4 engine at new Bowling Green build center 2015-01-07 BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Chevrolet announced today it is resuming the exclusive Engine Build Experience for Corvette Z06 customers – the only program of its kind for supercar customers. Starting in March 2015, Corvette Z06 customers will be able to assemble the 650-hp supercharged LT4 engine for their cars at the new Performance Build Center inside the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. "Chevrolet recognizes the passion customers have for Corvette and the Engine Build Experience offers them a truly unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in the creation of the heart of their new car," said Harlan Charles, Corvette product manager. "It's a chance to bond with their new car." The Engine Build Experience is selected with order code PBC and is offered on all Z06 trim levels.

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.

Cadillac Celestiq, Lyriq, Hummer, other future GM electric cars: Here's everything we saw at ‘EV Day’

Wed, Mar 4 2020

WARREN, Mich. — Today, General Motors held an “EV Day” event at its Warren, Michigan, campus to present its new “Ultium” battery technology, modular electric vehicle architecture and soon-to-come electric vehicles. Unfortunately, we were forbidden from bringing cameras into the event, so while we canÂ’t show you what we saw, we can tell you more about it. While we saw the previously teased Cadillac EV (which we now know to be called the Lyriq) and the GMC Hummer pickup teased during the Super Bowl, there were a number of other future cars at the event, which GM President Mark Reuss assured us are all real vehicles in the works. The biggest surprise came at the end of the event, though, in the Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan, which Reuss described as a future flagship that would be hand-built “very locally.” It had been hiding under a dark sheet all morning, with the front and rear illuminated Cadillac emblems shining from underneath. When the wraps came off, we saw a long, white, four-seat fastback sedan. The 23-inch wheels were pushed out to the very corners of the car, giving it what appeared to be a very long wheelbase. The model on the stage had no side mirrors or visible door handles. The grille mirrored that of the Lyriq crossover next to it, with integrated lighting in lieu of the usual mesh or slats youÂ’d see in an internal combustion car. The entire roof, all the way until it tapered to the tail of the vehicle, was tinted glass. In back, vertical tail lighting ran down the C-pillar before turning rearward across the top of the trunk. Inside, everything below the beltline of the windows — essentially all but the headrests and top portion of the steering wheel, was hidden from view. Behind the Celestiq, a large digital display showed a rendering of its interior. The dash consists of a pillar-to-pillar curved LED display serving as both instrument panel and infotainment system. Protruding forward between the front seats was another touchscreen that appeared to house some more controls, with open area, probably for storage, below it. The rear seats had the same sort of touchscreen between them. Built into the back of the front seats were a pair of rear-seat entertainment screens, much like we saw in the Lyriq. The door panels blended wood, metal and animated lighting to give character and a sense of opulence. GM interior design manager Tristan Murphy was on hand to tell us a bit more about the Celestiq.
