UP FOR SALE:   1967 CHEVELLE SS

This is a REAL SS 138 car.  This is a true barn find and is an unmolested and preserved time capsule and is the picture of GM originality.  Car is a numbers matching gem.

This SS does run and drive and all the directionals, brakes, all work.  The 396 motor (EK) (325 HP) has been cleaned up but has never been out of the car or rebuilt.  Here's some of the details of the car:  Color is Marina Blue (FF) and has never been repainted and comes with a blue interior.  This is a no frills SS as it has an Automatic on the colomn with a bench seat.  The SS has power steering, a 12 bolt posi rear (CD 3.07 ratio), dual exhaust,  orginal AM radio that comes in crystal clear!  All the interior is original.  You must see the car to appreciate how original it is.   Please check out the videos below as they have some good detail besides the pictures.

For those that like numbers,  here's just a few of them:  Car was and early 1967 build (considered a mid year production).

Motor:  396 BB, 7B148876  (matches VIN)  T01I0EK   Tonowanda Jan 10th 1967 325 HP PG

Rear:  3894939  CDE  0113B   Eaton Posi 3.07 ratio built January 13th  1967 in Buffalo NY

Delco Remy Alternator:  1100693 37A   7A16   January 16th 1967

Distributor:  1111169  6M30

Still retains original Harrison Radiator   VY

Intake Manifold:   3883948  K296   November 29 1966

Exhaust Manifold:  3916178 RH2

Rochester Carb:  2572  7037211 EF  4MV

Water Pump:  3856284

Overall,  the car needs some straight panel fixes, but doesn't need full panels of anything.  The doors/hood shuts perfectly,  car retains all of its original sheet metal/wheels, and even the original trunk/glove box, and ignition keys.   A new HEI distributor was put in for easier starts.  The oil was just changed and the car fires right up.  Yes, the left rear quarter was swiped by a barn door (very fixable)  Original air cleaner, SS hubcaps, oil filter canister, distributor, spare tire and jack are all in the trunk.  If you want a nice SS, then this is a great start for you!  Drive while you fix.

2016 Chevy Silverado puts on a better face

Mon, Jul 13 2015

When Chevrolet introduced the redesigned Silverado pickup for 2014, you, our loyal readers, gave the new truck's front-end a lukewarm response. Aside from saying it was ugly, one commenter came to the far more damning conclusion that this brand-new vehicle already looked dated. For 2016, Chevy has attempted to address opinions like that, issuing a comprehensive facelift to its bread-and-butter pickup. Designers cut way back on the chrome for 2016, fitting a body-color strip across the middle of the grille and going to a single-headlight design. Combined with twin LED running lamps, the new look is much more modern while still harkening back to the retro-ish look introduced a few years back. The new truck also gets a much more muscular and aggressive hood, while the front bumper is significantly more modern, and features vertical housings for what look like LED foglights. The bad news, here, is that there's only one picture, shown above. We have no idea what changes Chevy has made to the rear of the pickup, nor do we know what other versions of the truck beyond the Z71 seen here may be available. The Bowtie brand did, however, confirm that we'd see a wider application of the eight-speed automatic transmission, as well as a new version of the MyLink infotainment system, which will play nice with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Look for much more on the freshened Silverado when it makes its official debut this fall. Until then, check out the press release and hop into Comments. We'd love to hear what you think about this facelift. 2016 Silverado: The New Face of Strong - Bolder, more sculpted look reflects Silverado strength, dependability - Available support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay - Expanded use of 8-speed transmissions; additional safety technologies DETROIT – Chevy Trucks are on a roll, with Chevrolet pickup sales up 32 percent so far this year. Chevrolet intends to strengthen this momentum with significant updates for the 2016 Silverado 1500 full-size pickup. "The redesigned 2016 Silverado will build on Chevy Trucks' legacy of dependability. It will feature a more muscular appearance and offer new customer-focused technologies," said Sandor Piszar, marketing director for Chevy Trucks.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.

Chevy Bolt wins 2017 Green Car of the Year

Thu, Nov 17 2016

We knew that a plug-in vehicle was going to win the 2017 Green Car of the Year award this year, given that all five finalists have a way to charge up. And when Ron Cogan, the editor and publisher of Green Car Journal, announced the winner – the 2017 Chevy Bolt EV – he said that the car itself represents one of those times in the auto industry when everything is about to change. Similar to the invention of the starter motor, things are about to get different. For now, though, the fact that the Bolt EV won an award sounds like the same old thing all over again. Just this week, it was named Motor Trends Car of the Year and to the Car And Driver Top 10 list. The other four finalists for Green Car of the Year included the Toyota Prius Prime, the Chrysler Pacifica, the Kia Optima (including hybrid and plug-in hybrid models) and the BMW 330e iPerformance. Last year, the winner was the 2016 Chevy Volt. Did Green Car Journal make the right selection this year? See the award ceremony below.
