This is a 2011 2SS/RS 6 Speed Manual Convertible with all options minus one. This vehicle is awesome to hear the bass sound of the engine and the occasional lob dub. The engine is different from the auto version and you can feel the power. This vehicle was adult driven, only in the nice weather and stored in the winter.

The car has never had a burn out!!!  The tires are original and look like new.  They are Pereli Zeros sitting on 20 x 8 and staggered 20 X 9 Polished Aluminum wheels. The car has never been in an accident and has no dents or dings. The ground effects package (also standard on the Z) was a 2265.00 option and it really sets this car right. The color matches the stripes. Also the engine has a matching (painted ) engine cover.  I ordered the gas door and realized it need some paint, so it has a custom job. The interior accents light up at night and really sets the mood for cruising. I have the original gas door along with a camaro car cover.

There are three very small rock chips on the right fender, and a small scuff on the plastic ground effect behind the rear drivers tire.  The top has a small wear mark.

The RS option has HID lights with a Halo Ring. Wheel upgrade. Fog Lamps Unique tail lamps. Also have Floor Mats, premium carpet. The car has a Onstar Navigation.

I am selling this car for several reasons, none having anything to do with the car.  The oil was serviced less that 1000 miles ago

The reserve is set slightly higher than a trade in amount.

The car can be viewed locally at 2002 East 5th St. Sterling, Il. during the day. Please inspect it before bidding!
At the end of the auction I would prefer a bank wire but will accept a bank Cashiers check and or cash.  The Cashiers check will need to clear my bank before the vehicle and title are released to the winner.

The title is held at my local bank for 3 days after the auction so I can obtain it on that day if during business hours, after that it goes back to corporate and can take longer.

If you are shipping the vehicle, please make your own arrangements.
I have tried to accurately describe this vehicle.   It is driven locally on nice days so the mileage may be slightly higher.

Happy Bidding.

Here's why automakers roll out those Texas-themed pickup trucks

Thu, Sep 29 2016

Every year, automakers with a full-size truck link make a big show of the Texas State Fair, usually involving a reveal of a new model. Sometimes they show a whole new truck, and other times a special edition centered on the Lone Star state. While some people might write this off as a quirk of the industry, others might be wondering, "What's the big deal with Texas?" As it turns out, part of the big deal with Texas is big truck sales. According to Dave Sullivan, product analysis manager at AutoPacific, Texas buys more trucks than any other state in the country. It's not a small margin either. Edmunds.com, one in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. The state also accounts for 15 percent of the country's large truck sales, which is more than twice that of California, the second largest truck market in America. Even when you break down sales only in Texas, trucks are a huge piece of the pie - Sullivan says that a quarter of new vehicle sales in Texas are trucks. One in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. But it's not just sales that make truck builders give attention to Texas. As Sullivan explained, "Pickups are life in Texas." Both he and Hugh Milne, marketing and advertising manager for the Chevy Silverado line, said that trucks are key fixtures in Texas society, as both work trucks and luxury vehicles (or Texas Cadillacs as Milne called them). Milne said Texas is so important in the truck market that if you want to be successful in the rest of the country, "you've got to be successful in Texas." As for the State Fair, it has become a prime location for reveals in part because of the importance of the Texas market and because of how big the fair is. Milne also revealed that the State Fair also hosts its own auto show, so it's an ideal venue for a vehicle introduction. So there you have it. Why do truck builders obsess over Texas? It's because Texas obsesses over trucks. When you have one market that loves your product that much, you give it the attention it deserves. The Chevrolet Bolt is headed to China as a Buick SUV

Thu, Jan 16 2020

When spy photos of what appeared to be Chevrolet Bolt EV with some minor front- and rear-end updates circulated last week, Autoblog surmised that GM was working on some sort of Bolt-based vehicle — potentially a crossover — to be sold in China as a Buick. We may just have corroboration for that theory. On Thursday, Motor1.com spotted a story published earlier this week on the Chinese site Auto Home which claims that GM has applied to sell an all-electric SUV under the Velite 7 nameplate in China.  There's little differentiating the Velite 7's exterior from the Bolt EV's, apart from bumpers, badges, and a little extra ground clearance. Up front, the bowtie is replaced by a round Buick badge, and the bumper picks up an almost Prius-like appearance thanks to contrasting vertical elements and a thin grille bleeding into the head lights to give it a full-width appearance. Chevy Bolt-based prototype View 16 Photos If the Chinese report is accurate, there is one significant difference under the skin. Per the application, the Buick crossover variant is to be powered by a 174-horsepower electric powertrain. That's down 26 horsepower from the Bolt EV's powertrain, and we can't help but think that a lifted Buick variant might just need every pony it can get.  The needs of the Chinese market are unique, and we're certain GM knows what it's doing if these figures are accurate. We have no reason to believe Buick plans to sell the Velite 7 EV here in the States, though we expect an updated Chevy Bolt eventually, and we wouldn't be surprised if Buick brings something along shortly to fill the void left by the departure of the Regal sedan and its variants.  Related Video:

This 450-hp electric Lotus Evora is powered by Tesla and Chevrolet

Tue, May 9 2017

When someone mentions an electric Lotus, the first thing that comes to mind is the Tesla Roadster, the California-based automaker's first vehicle. That car started life as an Elise before being heavily massaged and adapted by Tesla's engineers. In a similar spirit, the people at Onpoint Dyno are close to finishing Blue Lightning, a track-ready all-electric Lotus Evora. Blue Lightning uses a Tesla drive unit and a Chevrolet Volt battery pack, both mounted in the middle in place of the Evora's 3.5-liter Toyota V6. It's putting down about 450 horsepower at the wheels. The car was built for time attack sessions, so power is fed through custom forged wheels and super sticky Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires, the same ones found on the last Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. There is a custom digital instrument cluster in place of the Lotus gauges. There's also a regen paddle on the left side of the steering wheel. With a full charge, Blue Lighting should go about 120 miles. While the car runs under its own power, it's only about 90 percent complete. It has no power steering, no firewall in between the seats and the motor and battery pack, no A/C, and a large hole where the shift lever used to be. Other final touches include fine-tuning the brakes and suspension. There is also a custom rear bumper coming that should make it look more like the new Lotus Evora 400. Onpoint Dyno expects the car to hit the track in the next month or so. Related Video:
