2010 Chevrolet Camaro Ssrs Indy 500 Pace Car Replica on 2040-cars
Covington, Ohio, United States
E-Mail Questions at: isaacidduplantis@celticfans.com . In 2010, Chevrolet produced 294 Camaro SS Pace Car Replicas. 50 cars were sent to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
to be used as Festival and Track support vehicles, 44 cars remained in Canada, and the remaining 200 were
distributed to Chevrolet dealers in the US for sale to the general public.
As the cars arrived at the Speedway, in no specific order they had their Event Window Flag Log Parking pass decals
and assigned numbers applied to the Windshield.
This car, the First Replica produced, was assigned as Festival Vehicle # 18, and assigned to a 500 Festival
Committee Board Member. I will provide along with the sale of this car the detailed documentation listing all 294
VIN numbers (to document this is #1), which also identifies US and Canadian export cars, Speedway event car #'s,
and other pertinent information as evidence of this car's history.
While in my possession, this car has been garaged in a climate controlled building, and only driven short distances
on nice days (longer trips it was carried in my enclosed car hauler), but I won't say it has never seen rain like
others, since I had no control over it's use while in possession of the Indy 500 Festival Director during May of
2010.
The car has it's underhood Fuse box cover autographed by Helio Castroneves (2010 Indy 500 Pole Winner) and Dario
Franchitti (2010 Indy 500 Race Winner). A spare cover is included if you wish to only used the autographed cover
at Car shows to prevent heat damage to the autographs which were done in Silver Sharpie.
Factory Pace Car options for the Z4Z package included : SS/RS package, 6.2-liter V8 engine with 400 hp (298 kW /
406 PS) and 410 lb-ft (555 Nm) of torque, connected to a six-speed paddle shift automatic, special paint/stripe
package, Indy 500 and IMS event graphics, special painted engine and interior parts, and embroidered head rests
with the Indy 500 event logo.

Car and Driver reveals spy shots of mid-engine 2017 Corvette
Thu, Jan 8 2015Some news in the car world is perennial, and some is perennially wrong. Typically news about some upcoming mid-engined Chevy Corvette has fallen into the latter category, with rumors never yet generating a road car. This time could very well be different. Car and Driver has some exclusive photographs of what would appear to be a Corvette test mule with a mid-mounted engine. The car in question might look like a Holden SSV ute that's undergone some indelicate modification, but C/D editor Don Sherman assures that the bones of a C8 'Vette live within that crude bodywork. Sherman points to the closeness of the cabin to the front axle as clue number one of this car's mid-engine attitude, as well as the powertrain-sized space between the back of the seats and the rear axle. The roof and glasshouse are all clearly plucked from the current C7, and the gas tank filler positioned on the B-pillar is another huge clue. The buff book estimates that the mule points to a timeline for sale, even. Testing on this level could mean a mid-engined C8 ready for sale in as few as 20 months, or for the 2017 model year. Click over to Car and Driver to have a close look at this important set of spy photographs, as well as a rendering of what a finished C8 might ultimately look like
2016 Chevy Colorado Duramax gets 31 mpg highway
Mon, Nov 9 2015The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax and its similarly diesel-powered GMC Canyon sibling are the most fuel-efficient new trucks on the market in America. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates 31 miles per gallon highway, 22 mpg city, and 25 mpg combined for two-wheel-drive Colorado and Canyon diesels. That's just good enough to take the pickup fuel-economy title from the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel HFE, which carries EPA estimates of 29 mpg highway, 21 mpg city, and 24 mpg combined. Four-wheel-drive models offer slightly lower economy figures of 29/20/23, respectively. Drivers can cover quite some distance, too – the GM twins' 21-gallon tanks mean a maximum range of 651 miles.
Your browser does not support iframes.
Diesel's reputation may be somewhat tarnished in the US after Volkswagen's emissions scandal, but Chevy wants to assure potential customers that there are no tricks with the Colorado's figures. The pickup's engine features NOx-reducing tech like exhaust gas recirculation, and the EPA and California Air Resources Board recently chose the truck to take the additional step of real-world emissions tests. The 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder with 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque had no problems with the more stringent evaluation, and "the agency expressed no issues or concerns," according to the company's statement. The diesel Colorado goes on sale this fall, and the Duramax costs $3,730 over a similarly equipped V6 model. We've gone ahead and included dueling press releases from both Chevy and GMC below for your reading pleasure. The EPA-estimated highway fuel economy for 2016 Colorado four-wheel drive diesel is 29 mpg. The EPA has issued a Certificate of Conformity for the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax diesel. The agency expressed no issues or concerns following its recent extensive testing and evaluation of the emission control system on the Colorado Duramax diesel.
GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado diesels finally heading to dealers
Fri, Jan 1 2016Customers who have been waiting to receive their diesel-powered Chevrolet Colorados and GMC Canyons should be relived to hear that GM will finally start to ship them out of the Wentzville Assembly Plant. "The highly anticipated 2016 GMC Canyon diesel has begun shipping to dealers," a company spokesperson confirmed to The Detroit News. The trucks originally had a fall launch date, but a final review forced a delay in deliveries. The 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel in the midsize trucks produces 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and the company touts the engine's low emissions. The Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board even put the mill through extra scrutiny with a real world test in the wake of VW's diesel scandal, and the Duramax passed with no problems. At that time, a Chevy spokesperson told Autoblog that the models' launch was on track. The Duramax engine adds $3,730 to the price of a comparable V6 model, but they're the most fuel-efficient pickups on the market. The EPA estimates the twins at 31 miles per gallon highway, 22 mpg city, and 25 mpg combined in two-wheel drive form and 29/20/23 with four-wheel drive. Buyers likely can't wait to finally experience these pickups after reading a heap of positive reviews. The Colorado diesel recently earned Motor Trend's Truck of the Year award. We also came away impressed with it during our First Drive and liked the Canyon during our Quick Spin. Related Video:
