1969 69 Camaro Z28 Dz302 Survivor Hurst 4 Speed Numbers Car Chambered Exhaust on 2040-cars

I've had this car for a few years, and it has been babied in a climate controlled space. It has not seen water since I have owned it, and it has been driven no more than 10 miles in a day over the last few years. I believe it is a 48k mile car, but can't say for sure. All of my mechanic friends seem to think so. It is a torque monster, and a real-deal, beast of an original, survivor, Z28. It has the original drivetrain, and seems to have been repainted one time. The paint and body could use very minor work, but I would not touch it, it's just way too cool as is.
THIS CAR RUNS SUPER STRONG and the exhaust has an incredible note due to the chambered exhaust and high revving DZ302 engine. Everyone's going to want to know what the reserve is, but I'm not inclined to disclose. I will say my reserve is less than I paid for it, and I know how to buy cars at a fair price. I also know how to sell cars at a fair price that gives the buyer some upside. This car has a lot of equity left in it, if you want to create some upside. I don't think you will lose money on this car. I will sell this car at a fair price. If you are a real car collector, you know where I'm coming from. Tire kickers need not waste my time, and on the flip side, if you want to come to Birmingham to drive it or send someone to inspect it, please feel free. I don't have time to baby my collection of cars. I have many muscle cars, and I am thinning my herd. I also have a 71 T/A and a 66 GT 350 in separate auctions. I also have a 72 C10 Fleetside and a 69 VW BUS. to reiterate: It has factory chambered exhaust, factory headers, and all of the original factory goodies, (SEE THE FIREWALL PLATES IN THE PICTURES) and it's ready to drive and enjoy. It comes with the original body stickers still on it, and the owners manual. I really love this car and have taken great care of it, but business comes first. In case you did not know, Woodside Credit will loan money to you, if you have decent credit, and their rates are good too. Just a heads up: You don't have to borrow the kids college money to own this car. Just cut down on the beer and chips a little and you'll be able to make your monthly payment. I'm kidding, but seriously, this car is a good investment! Top of Block: Vo513DZ By the Oil Filter: (What I could get to, but I am certain it is completely original and matching): 7557 Transmission: 19N647557 VIN 124379N647557 The Driver Side Door Sticker:(RARE RARE RARE) 124379N647557 It has the original body panels: Has the original spot welds in the rear quarters, original seam sealer, paint was never removed when re-painted and I can see a spec or two of the original paint on all the panels...The door jambs have the original weather stripping, but it is in great shape and I would not worry with changing it, especially with it being a survivor car. It also has the thin Harmonic balancer. All the wiring is original and works great!!! All gauges work!!! Original radio works great!!! Gas tank is original, not rusted and does not leak!!! Original Headers!!! Body bushings are original!!! If you want a car that has the ability to represent in a much rarer class than a restored vehicle: HERE IT IS!!! Also, IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE RESTORED!!! It just does not need it, plain and simple. |

Chevy Bolt meets 2016 Nissan Leaf at LA NEDW event [UPDATE]
Mon, Sep 14 2015The 2015 National Drive Electric Week kicked off this past weekend with events happening all around the world. Our friends from Plug In America (PIA) send us some notes and pictures from one of the larger events in Los Angeles, CA. This event was special because it saw the debut of the 2016 Nissan Leaf and the west coast debut of the Chevy Bolt concept. The two electric vehicles were in the same place at the same time for the first time ever. Besides that little bit of electric vehicle history, the organizers helped facilitate 800 test drives, PIA co-founder Zan Dubin Scott told AutoblogGreen. The city of Los Angeles also gave proclamations to movie director Chris Paine (Who Killed The Electric Car? and Revenge Of The Electric Car) and the three national organizers of Drive Electric Week: PIA, the Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association. Speakers at the event included names that should be familiar to AutoblogGreen readers: California state senator Kevin de Leon, race car driver Leilani Munter, and Dave Barthmuss of General Motors, among others. Joel Levin, the executive director of Plug In America, said during his speech that, "Electric cars are changing the world. Every time one of these vehicles gets sold, our air gets a little cleaner. We will take a big bite out of climate change. Our economy will not be subject to wild swings in gas prices. And we will not be involved in foreign wars over oil." Tell us about your own NEDW events (that happened already or are about to happen) in the Comments below. UPDATE: We received the text of Andrew Speaker's comments at the event. Speaker is Nissan's director of Electric Vehicle (EV) Sales & Marketing. We've included them below. Thank you, and good afternoon! On behalf of Nissan, we are proud to sponsor National Drive Electric Week, and we're excited to be able to celebrate it here in Los Angeles with all of you. This is actually my first National Drive Electric Week event, and I am inspired by the level of enthusiasm here today, and seeing everyone's passion for electric vehicles first hand. Nissan has had some big news in the last few days with the introduction of the 2016 Nissan LEAF, which is the world's first affordable electric car to get more than 100 miles of range on a single charge. The 2016 LEAF offers a new 30 kWh battery with an EPA-rated 107 miles of range... and its making its global debut here in Los Angeles.

GM promises to add 20 EVs and fuel-cell cars to lineup, paid for by SUVs
Mon, Oct 2 2017DETROIT — General Motors outlined plans on Monday to add 20 new battery electric and fuel-cell vehicles to its global product lineup by 2023, financed by robust profits from sales of gasoline-fueled trucks and sport utility vehicles in the United States and China. "General Motors believes in an all-electric future," GM global product development chief Mark Reuss said on Monday during a briefing at the company's suburban Detroit technical center. Future generations of GM electric vehicles "will be profitable," Reuss said, but added it was not clear when GM could make all its new vehicle offerings zero-emission electric cars. Regulators in China and some European countries have floated proposals to ban internal combustion engines by 2030 or 2040. "We will continue to make sure our internal combustion engines will get more and more efficient," Reuss said. GM shares were up more than 4 percent in midday New York trading on positive comments from Rod Lache, auto analyst at Deutsche Bank. Automakers, including electric vehicle market leader Tesla, lose money on electric cars because battery costs are still higher than comparable internal combustion engines. The company offered sneak peeks of three EV prototypes: a Buick SUV, a sporty Cadillac wagon and a futuristic pod car wearing a Bolt badge. GM funds its forays into new technology using a river of cash generated by old-technology vehicles popular with its core customer base in the United States heartland. In comparison, Tesla has burned through an estimated $10 billion in cash and has yet to show a full year profit. GM earned more than 90 percent of its $12.5 billion in pretax profits last year in North America, amid robust demand for its lineup of large sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks. The company's profitable operations in China rely on consumer demand for an expanding lineup of gasoline powered SUVs. GM has previously announced plans to make some of its future electric vehicles capable of driving themselves in robot taxi fleets. The company offered sneak peeks of three electric vehicle prototypes: a Buick brand sport utility vehicle, a sporty Cadillac wagon and a futuristic pod car wearing a Bolt badge. GM collaborated with Korean battery maker LG Chem to build the Bolt battery system. Company officials did not say what companies would supply batteries for the larger fleet of vehicles promised by 2023. Fuel-cell vehicles will also play a role in GM's future, the company said.
