Up for sale we have a 1985 Chevy C-30, crew cab dually.
This is a factory 7.4 liter (454) V-8, Automatic truck.
The Truck was an older repaint and looks like it was done by a shop and still shows very nice.
The interior is in excellent shape, carpet and seats are excellent, headliner is decent, door panels are excellent.
The front seats are in good shape with the drivers side showing the most wear.
The rear seat was replaced and is a different color than the fronts, but is in excellent condition and matches the carpet.
The glass is good around with no cracks or chips.
Engine and transmission are excellent and the truck was meticulously maintained.
I can provide some service records including an extensive air conditioning overhaul.
The dual gas tanks function as they should as do all of the other power accesories.
It has an aftermarket stereo that operates as it should.
It also has dual batteries and one is almost new.
Brakes feel good and the truck drives well.
Tires are in good shape as well.

The mileage is original and and can be documented via Carfax. The truck was not detailed in the photos only washed, and upon sale will be clay-ed, compounded, polished, waxed and shampoo-ed. The lettering on the truck will be removed as well. The pin striping is all hand painted and looks excellent. The previous owner never towed with it, and is a 6-truck owner, just trying to liquidate in order to expand his business.

There is no rot on the truck body or frame. I have tried to photograph the few flaws on the truck, marker light cracked, rear bumper dented, and a small section on the bed that the clear has come off.

We are offering this C/30 at an aggressive price and we are open to offers.

To make an appointment to view this C/30 or if you have any questions or need additional information or pictures, feel free to call Joe at North Shore Auto Sales Inc. anytime at (718)448-6259,  email at joensauto@gmail.com , or via "contact the seller" at the bottom of the ad.

We do require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of an agreed upon price, which will be taken through our dealership.

There is a $75 Documentation fee in addition to the final agreed upon price. NYS residents are required to  pay sales tax.

We can do all NYS motor vehicle processing (new plates and registration or a plate transfer) for the actual motor vehicle fees. We can also provide a 30 day in transit permit for out of state residents for an additional $12.50.

I can also assist in shipping, however it is ultimately the buyers responsibility.

We are a registered NYS motor vehicle dealer selling pre-owned cars. We guarantee the car to be "safe and sound" needing no immediate mechanical repairs or attention, however this is a 46 year old car, so it is NOT perfect. We are a "brick and mortar" location. As a dealer we do have normal walk in traffic as well as other advertising avenues, so I reserve the right to remove the listing early if it is sold previous to auction end. The dealership and vehicle are located at 691 Richmond Rd, Staten Island, NY 10304. Feel free to stop by anytime to inspect any of our fine vehicles.

GM drops price of Spark EV to $25,995; lease to $139/month

Tue, Apr 14 2015

The drive to lower EV prices continues. GM announced today that the base model 2015 Chevy Spark EV 1LT would get a price cut to $25,995. That's $1,500 less than it used to be but the bigger news might be the lowered lease price. Instead of $199 a month, all that Chevy is asking for to get you into an all-electric Spark now is $139 a month (39 months, with no money due at signing), down from the 36-month, $199-a-month lease cost with a $999 down payment. Sadly, the number of states where the Spark EV can be bought is almost as small as the lease payment: the car is available only in California, Oregon and Maryland (well, Maryland won't be ready until the summer). GM is doing more than just lowering the MSRP. On top of the federal and state tax incentives available, GM is offering bonus cash in all three states ($1,000 in California, $1,200 in Maryland, and $3,500 in Oregon). If you're wondering why those numbers vary so much, take a look at the already-available state EV incentives in play: California offers $2,500 and Maryland $2,300. Somehow, they all balance out. If you do some addition with the $7,500 federal tax credit, you see that the Spark EV can be had for $11,000 off the MSRP no matter where you buy. If you qualify for everything, $14,995 is a darn good deal for an EV, especially one as fun as the Spark. Related Video: 2015 Chevrolet Spark EV Repriced to Offer Greater Value As low as $14,995 after full federal and state tax credits and Chevrolet Bonus Cash 2015-04-14 DETROIT – Chevrolet announced today Spark EV 1LT's new manufacturer's suggested retail price would start at $25,995. Depending on an individual's tax situation, the Spark EV is eligible for federal tax credit up to $7,500. "Chevrolet is committed to making EV driving more accessible, affordable and fun" said Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet Car and Crossover Marketing. "The Spark EV is already the most efficient – and one of the most affordable – EVs you can buy. 2015 Spark EV customers will benefit from an impressive blend of technology, capability and low cost of ownership, now at an even more impressive price." California and Maryland Spark EV owners may also qualify for a $2,500 California state rebate or $2,300 Maryland excise tax exemption. Additional Chevrolet bonus cash is also available: $1,000 in California, $1,200 in Maryland, and $3,500 in Oregon. After full federal and state tax credits and Chevrolet bonus cash, the Spark EV could be as low as $14,995.

Trophy truck chases Sasquatch driving a side-by-side for Recoil 3

Fri, Nov 13 2015

Last year's Recoil 2 video of BJ Baldwin blasting through the outskirts of Ensenada, Mexico, in his trophy truck was already a fantastic improvement over the original clip. For the third installment in the series, he and his amazing camera team somehow turn up the excitement even higher. Rather than going back to the desert, Baldwin heads into the woods of the Pacific Northwest for some Sasquatch hunting in Recoil 3. Not only is the mythical beast quite real in this video, but it's apparently quite good at piloting a side-by-side too. The result is a high-speed chase through the forest that eventually moves to the urban jungle. Like in the previous Recoil clips, Baldwin showcases his amazing control over the 800-horsepower truck, and the suspension soaks up serious punishment from some huge jumps. The cinematography makes the stunts look even more exhilarating by always showing the perfect angle of the action. General Motors and EVs: No stranger to firsts, but where's the leadership?

Tue, Apr 7 2015

2015 is already shaping up to be the year of "affordable, 200-mile EV" concepts. Nissan and Tesla have each been talking about them for some time, the latter promising to unveil its Model 3 at the North American International Auto Show in January before balking when the time came. Instead, Chevrolet beat them all by unveiling the Bolt concept at the same event, followed shortly thereafter with suggestions of a 2016 launch – potentially offering the first nationwide EV with anything close to that range. It was the ballsiest EV-related move General Motors has made in a quarter century. But will it remain so? Exactly 25 years before the Bolt rolled up onto the turntable, then-Chairman Roger Smith unveiled GM's last ground-up EV concept, the even-more-unfortunately-named Impact, at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January 1990. A few months later, he surprised most of his colleagues by announcing its intended production in honor of Earth Day. It was the first modern foray into electric vehicles for the US by any automaker, one that was rewarded by the State of California with what is now known as the Zero Emissions Vehicle mandate. The program not only forced other automakers into competing with Roger's pet project, but inspired all of them to fight it like small children against bedtime. Some years later, the drivers themselves weighed in, with a biting documentary about that obstinance and the leadership it cost both GM and the country. Within months, GM was first back into the fray of plug-in vehicles. Many criticized the company for starting with a PHEV rather than jump straight back into EVs. The choice wasn't totally out of the blue – even EV1 was meant to be followed by a PHEV. And especially on the heels of Who Killed the Electric Car?, some skittishness was understandable: even a successful EV would invite a "we told you so" public reaction, underscoring their mistake in ending the EV1 program. If a new EV didn't do well, they'd be convicted in the public eye as serial killers. All while seeking a federal bailout. For all the flak, the resulting Chevy Volt was and is a better car than GM has ever gotten credit for. But the company seemed to grow weary of having to overcome its varied past, and while the current owners remain happy, much of the stakeholder and community engagement that so effectively built early goodwill and sales growth faded not long after launch. Marketing has been spotty in both consistency and effectiveness.
