This would be a nice truck to restore or drive,as is. I started fixing it up for my 15 year old grandsons first vehicle. When I showed it to my daughter and son-in-law,they said NO. He'll get in trouble with it.Runs perfect. No smoke or rattles.Transmission is fine.Gas tank leaked,so I put in a new one. Fuel pump is inside tank,so I replaced it,too, along with fuel filter and ALL lines straps, lock ring, fittings.New brakes include pads, shoes wheel cylinders, calipers.rotors, steel lines and rubber hoses.Has real nice 285/75/r16 tires on Mickey Thompson aluminum wheels.New pitman arm, idler arm,and wheel alignment.New water pump, thermostat, belt and hoses, air filter, wiper blades, oil filter lube and oil change.New starter.Sony stereo with am/fm/cd.Had rust around wheel wells,so I put new fenders on.The only rust hole is small, in the bottom of door on passengers side, right below silver dollar size dent.See pics.Interior has two,3inch cuts in drivers seat.See pics.Note the rust free rocker panels and cab corners.Has headers and new dual thrush mufflers.4-wheel works fine, fun to drive.Stuck a lot of $$$ in it,but wanted it dependable for my grandson [.I didn't show it to him because I don't want him disappointed.] I live 100 miles east of St. Paul,Mn. If you want to fly to the airport and drive it home,I will meet you there,or you could pick up here or I would deliver, free, within 100 miles,or I will deliver anywhere in U.S. for 1.50 per mile.Box has spray on bed liner. No rust. I hauled a bag of ashes to the dump.Box looks dirty.I should have washed it before the pictures. It's clean, now.

Chevy: The Big Game
Mon, Feb 2 2015Chevrolet took an early lead for the 2015 Super Bowl advertising crown with its spot for the all-new, 4G LTE-capable Colorado pickup in a spot that simulated a problem with your TV. The stark, simple ad then states that if you're lucky enough to have an Internet-capable vehicle, like the new Colorado, you'd at least be able to stream the game. A clever, chuckle-inducing spot if there was one. Check out our full write up of the new, 2015 Colorado. Marketing/Advertising Chevrolet Truck Super Bowl Commercials Videos 2015 super bowl ad
GM offering factory-backed extended warranty for Chevys, GMCs, Buicks and Cadillacs
Mon, Oct 15 2018Cars are generally more reliable than ever before. When things do go wrong, every automaker offers some form of factory warranty (in most cases at least three years and 36,000 miles, though many extend even longer), providing peace of mind to new-car buyers that many faults will be fixed at no charge to the customer. Starting today, GM is offering a new optional plan that will extend the factory warranty on all new Chevy, GMC, Buick and Cadillac products. In the past, extended warranties have been offered as dealer add-ons, with all profits from these sales going to the dealership. GM's new program can be viewed as another nail in the the looming dealership-model coffin. According to Automotive News, some dealers aren't happy to see GM cut into their business like this, saying that it helps GM far more than it does dealers. GM says the new program will help keep customers in the GM family. Customers are also more likely to visit a GM service center rather than going to an independent repair shop. Currently, new Chevy and GMC vehicles come with three-year/36,000-mile warranties. Buicks and Cadillacs are covered for 4 years or 50,000 miles. The new program extends Chevy and GMC warranties to five years or 60,000 miles. Buick and Cadillac warranties extend to six years or 70,000 miles. GM, citing IHS Markit, says most owners keep new cars for about 6.8 years, so these warranties will cover most of the length of their ownership. The extended warranty will add between $1,000 and $2,000 to the price of a vehicle, and the additional cost can be rolled into the vehicle's purchase or lease price. Unlike many dealer extensions, the factory program covers the vehicle no matter who owns it. That should help increase the car's resale value if it's sold within the covered timeframe. GM says there's no deductible and no need to file a claim form when getting warranty repairs. Additionally, dealerships can continue to sell their own extended warranties or service contracts. GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
