1987 Chevrolet 1/2ton Short-Wide bed (Southern U.S. Truck), with alot of new parts, and ready to go.. This truck drives great and runs great, and has just had the Overdrive Transmission replaced about 500 miles ago, so all is good there. Brand new 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear wheels, with brand new tires with only about 200 miles on them, so we are ready to go there.. I did have the seat and carpet freshened up also, so the interior so pretty clean and presentable. The paint is a couple years old, so there isnt any of the old Clear Coat letting go, and is clean and presentable. It has brand new Front and Rear bumpers, along with a New 89 Suburban Front Core Support and Grille, which is a nice Oem custom look. This truck is a nice daily driver, and I am currently driving the truck as the auction runs, so it would be a great first vehicle for anyone coming of age. The truck has been lowered 2in in the front, and 4in in the rear, which gives it more of an updated look, and it sits nice and level on the new wheels and tires, . The underhood is original and clean, and hasnt been molested over the years, which is all the way down to the factory Fuel Injection system.
As you can see from the pictures, this truck has the appearance of a clean and stock appearance, eventhough it has been lowered with aftermarket wheels. There is a fine line between what appears to be a teenagers truck, and a nice updated original appearance truck, and that is what we have here. It has the both of best worlds in styling, without going over the top with some wild butchered body mods and paint work.. Look at some of the others that have been listed on Ebay, and look at this one again, and I dont think you will find one as respectable as this one.
The 87 Fuel Injected Short-Wides are the best of the best of this bodystyle, so dont miss out on this nice daily driver, because it will be hard to find one as reasonable as this one. The prices on these trucks are really starting the climb, so if you ever really considered owning one, it would be a good time to buy one. As long as it is kept clean, this truck will not go down in value, and they are very reasonable to maintain.
Please feel free to message me with questions, or if you need addtional pics or information, I will be happy to provide it to you.. I have a very reasonable Transport Service that I use, and he is normally about half of what the Ebay Services charge, so I will be happy to provide that info to any serious buyers.
Here is a YouTube walk around video of the truck.

Foreign automakers pay from $38 to $65 per hour to non-union workers
Sun, Mar 29 2015As leaders for the United Auto Workers gather in Detroit for their Special Convention on Collective Bargaining to work out the negotiating stance for this year's new labor agreements with the Detroit 3 automakers, what they most want to do is figure out how to eliminate the two-tier wage scale. However, the lower Tier 2 wage has allowed the domestic automakers to reduce their labor costs, hire more workers, and compete better with their import competition. As it stands, per-hour labor rates including benefits are $58 at General Motors, $57 at Ford, and $48 at Fiat-Chrysler – a reflection of FCA's much greater number of Tier 2 workers. The Center for Automotive Research released a study of labor rates (including benefits) that put numbers to what the imports pay: Mercedes-Benz pays the most, at an average of $65 per hour, Volkswagen pays the least, at $38 per hour, and BMW is just a hair above that at $39 per hour. Among the Detroit competitors, Honda workers earn an average of $49 per hour, at Toyota it's $48 per hour, Nissan is $42 per hour, and Hyundai-Kia pays $41 per hour. The lower import wages are aided by their greater use of temporary workers compared to the domestics. Automotive News says the ten-dollar gap between those foreign camakers and the domestics turns out to about an extra $250 per car in labor, which adds up quickly when you're pumping out many millions of cars. That $250-per-car number is one that, come negotiating time, the Detroit 3 will want to reduce, as the UAW is trying to raise both Tier 1 and Tier 2 wages. Another wrinkle is that the domestic carmakers are considering the wide adoption of a third wage level lower than Tier 2. Some workers who do minor tasks like assembling parts trays kits and battery packs already make less than Tier 2, but the UAW will be quite wary about cementing yet another wage scale at the bottom of the system while it's trying to fight a bigger battle at the top. GM files for Z71 Trail Boss trademark
Mon, Jan 26 2015Try as they might to keep their plans a secret, automakers have their hands tipped through a variety of methods – be they through loose lips, spy shots or patent and trademark applications. That's how we know, in this instance, that General Motors is working on (or at least considering) an off-road machine wearing the name Z71 Trail Boss – the name which our compatriots at AutoGuide.com tell us that GM has registered for use on light-duty trucks. Now if that alphanumeric designator sounds familiar, it should. GM has long used it to designate the off-road packages on many of its body-on-frame trucks from Chevy and GMC. These days you can order a Z71 package on the Chevy Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban and on the GMC Canyon, Sierra and Yukon. The package typically includes components like a beefed-up suspension bits, high-capacity air cleaner and underbody protection plates. The Trail Boss designator would seem to suggest something further reaching than a suspension package, though. Just what it would entail we don't know; minds immediately start running toward Chevy or GMC going after the Ford F-150 Raptor, but we'll likely be looking at something closer to the Trailhawk packages Jeep offers on the likes of the Renegade and Cherokee.
