1979 Chevroet K10 Pickup on 2040-cars
Mount Brydges, Ontario, Canada
Fairly well done 79 Chevy 4x4. Has 350 engine, auto trans, full time transfer case. No front driveshaft in it at the moment as the guy I got it from never lengthened one to compensate for the lift (has body and suspension). Super Swamper Bogger tires. I haven't done the driveshaft yet either because I never intended to 4 wheel it anyways, and it would be harder on fuel with the full time case in it. The interior has a good seat, decent door panels, and new carpet, but the last owner painted the dash and it's starting to peel. Has a GMC grille in it, but I have a new correct Chev grille that will go with the truck. Truck runs and drives decent, but trying to listen to the stereo over the noise of the exhaust and tires is pretty much a waste of time! :) New Backrack just installed, tires are basically new, paint is new, don't know of anything else it needs other than what I've mentioned. True mileage unknown. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup.

Hot air balloons caught in high winds drag fullsize SUV
Mon, Jul 20 2015A sudden storm front whipped up enough wind to send some hot air balloons flying into the air in Wisconsin over the weekend. One ballon proved so energetic that it was able to drag a fullsize SUV across a field and into a stand of tents. The freak accident occurred at Balloonfest in Waterford, Wisconsin. Spectators were horrified as balloons dragged handlers to the ground and launched with terrified pilots clinging to their baskets. Organizers had started packing up the colorful balloons due to ominous storm clouds when the wind kicked up. "Happened just like that; it was crazy," Nathan Fricke, crew member, told Fox 6. Winds were clocked at 40 to 50 miles per hour. A balloon caught in the wind dragged a large SUV (we think a Suburban or Yukon XL) hundreds of feet and into a cluster of tents on the edge of the staging area where balloons were on display for festival goers. Considering that the SUV surely weighs well over 5,000 pounds, it's lucky that no one was injured in the incident. News Source: Fox6Now Weird Car News Chevrolet GM GMC SUV
Chevy, GMC have electric pickups coming. Is Cadillac next?
Fri, Jan 7 2022GMC already has an uber-expensive electric pickup in the Hummer EV. By now you've no doubt seen the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. It's a pickup. It's electric. It looks a little bit like an Avalanche. Hmm. You know what else was a pickup that looked a little bit like an Avalanche? Why, the Cadillac Escalade EXT, of course. Cadillac Escalade EV-T yes or no?https://t.co/R1AXThRzIG@therealautoblog @Cadillac — Byron "Don't do anything Byron says. Ever" Hurd (@Byron_AB) January 7, 2022 So, hypothetically, if Cadillac were to build an Escalade EXT with an upmarket interior, Super Cruise, a minimum of 300 miles of range, 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, a locking frunk and 5-passenger seating, plus all of the nifty doodads and gadgets we've already seen on the Silverado ... would it sell? OK, this isn't entirely hypothetical. In fact, I received a survey from Cadillac this morning asking just that. It's an interesting question. And it's one we're putting to you, the readers. So, what say you? Cadillac Escalade EV-T? Yes or no? Related video:
