Selling for my friend who is on active duty and will be gone for about 3 years and I cannot keep it at my parent's house for that long. He is open to offers and we are showing the truck (by appointment) at 6pm Tuesday and any time on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so we can close the bidding Monday.
Location: Perris, CA 92571
This truck has the following modifications and most were done in August 2012:
Engine: 350 V8 5.7L Engine - Upgraded Engine
Carburetor: Edelbrock Carburetor - New
Replica Boyd Coddington Rims and Brand New Daytona Tires
Runs Excellent. Many items replaced such as starter, fuel pump, oil pump, hoses, radiator, and he has documentation for many of the items. That is pictured as well.
This is a great truck for the person that wants to lift or lower it. It is stock suspension currently.
I try to assess any item for what I notice are very good things about the item and any flaws or errors. I would recommend you take a look and test drive it as soon as possible. It fires up quick and t sounds like a fire breathing monster!
My friend is open to offers. If the bid reaches a certain amount, I will stop selling it in other markets so please make sure to bid as early and often as needed - or Just Make an Offer! Email me with questions via eBay or text me at 951-238-0162. Ask for Kase.
Pros:
Rebuilt and swapped 350 engine! 600 miles on the new engine and about 52,000 miles overall on the vehicle.
New Edelbrock Carburetor!
New fuel, water, and oil pumps! All gauges work (except fuel gauge).
New starter! All lights and signal lights working great and windshield wipers working great too.
New replica Boyd Coddington style wheels
New Daytona tires with maximum tread life
Power Steering! GREAT Brake System!
Great glass! Seats Three and all original seat belts.
98% dent and scratch free!!!
No Smog Needed and Clean Title
Original CA Blue Plates!!!!!!!!
Runs Excellent! Numerous documents including engine replacement papers, and Pep Boys services for other items.
This is now a Classic Truck and a rare Cheyenne find. It no longer has the areas for the trim so it is a smooth body - dent free and mostly scratch free as well. Original bed was left unpainted.
Cons:
Paint: Not great. The person that did it was careless and appeared to have done it hastily and not in the correct conditions. However, the body is mainly scratch and dent free which is amazing! Whoever did the body work - great job. No kudos to the painter however.
Driver door locking mechanism is not great. Needs an extra step.
Windows roll up fine but then rolling down all the way is an issue. Sometimes they get stuck about 1/2 way down. You can easily access the inside of the door by removing the panel but I have not had time to take a look and see.
Tranny: Original but old. Please keep that in mind. It was not replaced like engine and carb, pumps and starter and all the other items. Will need a service periodically. Shifts Great.
Suspension: Does make a pop on the passenger side. I checked it out and the tie rods need replacement but if you get it lowered or raised, those are included in the parts package and will be replaced regardless. It drives and turns fine however and the power steering is great but it will make a pop occasionally.
Interior: Old - could use a carpet kit, seat cover, and dashboard cover. All are about $110 online per item. Very cheap and makes it very easy to fix up and look good again.
A/C and Heater: Not working/Disabled.
CD Player: None. There are 6x9 speakers in the panels but no CD player.
One Fuel Tank: Since the owner was preparing to lower it and beef it up, only one tank on the passenger side is enabled. The driver side fuel tank is disabled. I have fueled it up and it is kind of low to the ground. It takes some getting used to in regards of where to hold the nozzle, but it hold about 9-10 gallons just fine.
My personal opinion: It will take about $600 to $1,500 to get her looking like a champ. Some of the issues are issues that are not pertinent to its utility but if you want the $15,000 valuation, you will need to put in some extra work. If I had the money, I would buy it - unfortunately, I do not... If you want to have me do the replacement, you would need you to buy the parts and we can work on a deal for labor.
Again - No Reserve!!! Submit your Offers and we will review them! If you want, come down and check her out! It is awesome and the sale proceeds will go to a good person!
Good Luck Bidding. Sale is As-Is and we have tried to list all the proficient and deficient items that we have noticed in the test drive and while taking pictures. This is a used vehicle that is 40 years old. Please keep that in mind.
We prefer Pick-Up. However, you will need to arrange for shipping. Truck needs to be picked up in its current location.

Corvette owner finds stolen car, but can't get it back [w/video]
Wed, Feb 25 2015It's not too uncommon to hear about owners being reunited with their stolen cars decades after reporting them missing. The story of Terry Dietrich in Georgia starts that way with police finding her lost 1972 Chevrolet Corvette after over 40 years. However, this case takes a different turn because unless she wants to bid on it, Dietrich's likely not getting the 'Vette back. Just six months after purchasing it in 1972, Dietrich's blue Corvette was stolen in Georgia, and in 1975 the sports car found its way to a man in North Carolina. He kept the car right up until his death just a few months ago, and that's when restorer Gary Green bought the 'Vette from his widow, according to Yahoo Autos. Unfortunately, after acquiring the Corvette, Green found some major discrepancies. For one thing, the listed VIN pointed to a '69 convertible, and there was a different serial number on the frame. Green reported the problem to the local police, and they figured out it was the 'Vette Dietrich lost over four decades ago. Consequently, the cops impounded it. The issue now arises that while Dietrich is the victim of the theft, she isn't technically the car's last legal owner. After the Corvette was stolen, she reported the crime to her insurance company, and it paid on the claim, which essentially forfeited her ownership. To make matters slightly more confusing the company can't find the title on the 'Vette either, according to Yahoo Autos. That leaves the well preserved 'Vette sitting in a police impound lot. It will likely go to auction.
These are the five most ridiculous attacks on the Chevy Volt [w/videos]
Thu, Aug 7 2014It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.
