I have a 1976 Chevrolet C-10 ...disc-braked, 4-link, powdercoated, bathtubed, shaved, smothed, air-ride Project for Sale.  I started this project in the winter of 2002. I have come to the conclusion that I will not finish it, so here we have an opertunity for someone else. 1) Frame and suspension: Frame has been Super C-Notched with a  designed and built custom 4-link for the rear Air Ride system. The front end has ALL NEW parts, balljoints, tie rods, steering link, drag link, control arm bushings, brand new Power Steering Gear Box, and Air Bags. The frame has battery box located on frame  off passenger side under bed. Frame was completely sandblasted and powder coated. Air Ride is missing the compressor. I hook an air line and battery to it and the switches are temperarily mounted under bed. It is live on four switches. It will left, right, front, rear, or single lift. All airbag lines are Stainless braided or SS hard line. No plastic lines on this truck. Shocks are polished aluminum  on all four corners. 2) Body: Firewall has been completely deleted. The only thing that is coming through is the throttle cable and  steering column. I have the Ididit billet firewall bezel for the column (do not have the column). The brake pedal is mounted under dash  and does not come through firewall (summit racing). The front inner tubs are fiberglass and I have the custom molds for recreating them if you damage one. The front fenders have been shaved and filled and require one more block sanding and they will be ready to paint. The bed is bathtubbed and shaved and filled with a one piece california skin and pan (that was a fun one to get right), The taillight slot is for an LED 48" taillight witch I have two for this (one clear, one red) both come with the truck. Raised bed floor is designed for a wood bed . The bed is also ready one more Block / sand and paint. The cab and doors are almost done. They are in epoxy because they still need a little attention. Drivers side is done. Passeneger side door gaps to roof line is where I stoped. this area needs about 8 hours to complete. Deleting the drip rails highlights the door gaps. Easy Body man fix. Drivers side is done. Doors need fill and sand at door lock area and then blocked and primed, and blocked. The body is COMPLETELY Rust Free. 3) Interior: The dash is a fiberglass 2 piece (is molded as one, I cut it to get it in and out) This dash has over 200 hours and $1100 in it. I have the mold for this dash and it comes with the truck. It cost $400 to get a professional pull off the mold. Same guy did the fender tubes. All Molds come with truck. The dash was designed for full custom. Steering column mount and Summit Brke pedal mounts are welded in place and are ready for Ididit column (I do not have column) 4) Drivetrain: Rearend is a 12 bolt Eaton posi unit with Wilwood disc brakes and 2 piece wilwood rotors, and Lokar emergency brake kit, SS braided lines. Front end also has wilwood GMIII calipers. Has Electric racing fuel pump and  filter system with regulator mounted behind rear housing on frame. NO Motor or Tranny with this truck. It does have the one piece driveshaft and transmission crossmember for an Automatic. Wheels are  19"  with 10's on the rear and 9's on front......... Dave (864) 906-2799

2016 Chevrolet Camaro design teased

Thu, Apr 30 2015

Chevrolet just can't seem to help itself from continuing to tease the next-gen Camaro. The pony car gets its official debut at a big event on Detroit's Belle Isle on May 16, but the upcoming model's new exhaust, suspension components, and wheels are already well known. With this latest taste, we're finally getting an official glimpse at what the coupe actually looks like. The 2016 Camaro's shape hasn't completely been a secret, and even Chevy showed it testing while covered in camouflage in March. Still, these shots are a great opportunity to check out some undisguised details for the new model. The styling is supposed to be "more athletic," according to Chevy, and the aluminum hood looks especially good with crisp, straight lines forming the design. "It's a more expressive evolution of the Camaro's iconic character – and one that complements its leaner size and sharper reflexes," GM global design boss Ed Welburn said in a statement. These two photos suggest a more angular, futuristic shape for the upcoming pony car. We're looking forward to seeing it all in a couple weeks. Sculpted Exterior Reflects 2016 Camaro's New Athleticism 2015-04-30 DETROIT – For the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, the design team set out to create a leaner, more athletic design that complemented the new driving experience. "The Camaro went to the gym and came out with a lithe, more athletic physique for the sixth generation," said Ed Welburn, vice president, GM Global Design. "It's a more expressive evolution of the Camaro's iconic character – and one that complements its leaner size and sharper reflexes." The exterior design vocabulary is defined by complex shapes, which appear to be form-fitted around the mechanical components. Every shape and surface detail is a skilled, artistic collaboration of hand and digital sculpting. Camaro's new design details draw the eye into the design. For example, the new aluminum hood features powerful, smoothly curved sculpted forms accented with sharp creases. As a result, the hood appears to be shrink-wrapped around the engine. Similarly, the new Camaro retains the broad, dramatic rear fenders that became a defining feature of the award-winning Gen 5 Camaro. The design is updated with greater detailing, including a subtle crease running parallel to the fender edge. The effect makes the new Camaro look even lower and wider despite having a slightly smaller footprint than its predecessor.

GM veteran Bryan Nesbitt tapped to head Buick design

Sat, Jun 6 2015

General Motors styling veteran Bryan Nesbitt (pictured above) took over a new role on Monday as executive director of global Buick design and global architectures. Andrew Smith, who previously did that job and also coordinated the look for Cadillac, has remained in charge of the pen at Caddy with this shift. Nesbitt rose to prominence when he designed the Chrysler PT Cruiser, according to Automotive News. He joined GM in 2001 and has been there ever since in multiple high-level roles. In 2007, he was appointed vice president of design for North America and was later briefly general manager of Cadillac in 2009-2010. Nesbitt took over as the vice president of GM's international operations design in China in 2011. This shuffle also moves Ken Parkinson, currently styling boss for Chevrolet trucks, to China as design vice president there. In addition, John Cafaro becomes the person in charge of the look for Chevy globally, rather than previously splitting that role between cars and trucks with Parkinson. GM Global Design Leadership Changes – effective June 1, 2015. Bryan Nesbitt, Design Vice President, GM China will repatriate to North America and assume the position of Executive Director, Global Buick and Global Architectures. He will be located in Warren, MI. Bryan will be the design Champion for Buick in the US and China. Ken Parkinson, Executive Director, Global Chevrolet Trucks and Global Architecture will assume the position of Design Vice President, GM China. He will be based in Shanghai, China. Andrew Smith, Executive Director, Global Cadillac and Buick Design will assume the position of Executive Director, Global Cadillac. He will continue to be the design Champion for the Cadillac brand. In addition, he will continue to lead the Global Color & Trim team. He will be based in Warren, Michigan. John Cafaro, Executive Director, Global Chevrolet Cars will assume the position of Executive Director, Global Chevrolet. He will be the design Champion for Chevrolet. In addition, John will lead the exterior components and accessories team. He will continue to be based in Warren, MI. The roles and responsibilities of Helen Emsley, Mark Adams, Carlos Barba, Clay Dean, Michael Simcoe, and Teckla Rhoades remain the same. 2016 Chevy Camaro coming on May 16

Mon, Mar 16 2015

We officially have a date for the arrival of the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro. Fans of Chevy's Mustang fighter should look forward to May 16, and if they're in the Detroit area, they'll want to make their way down to Belle Isle, home of the Chevy Indy Dual in Detroit. We still don't have a great deal of information on the new Camaro, aside from what's been gleaned in spy shots and the like, although Chevy's press release was accompanied by the image shown above. That, friends, looks a lot like the Camaro's badge of old. Its presence here could be an indication that an old logo is set to return to production. That's because what Chevy is planning could best be described as a jamboree, or Camaro-palooza, if you prefer, rather than a typical unveiling. Chevy is inviting up to 1,000 Camaro fans to descend on Belle Isle for a day-long event that will offer up a lot more than their first look at the sixth-generation muscle car. Fans can hot lap the Belle Isle circuit from the passenger's seat of a new Z/28, check out a Camaro "museum," featuring "the most significant vehicles from the brand's history," and chat with some of the Camaro's designers and engineers. "This will be an event Camaro fans will not want to miss," Camaro marketing manager Todd Christensen said in a statement. "This is only the sixth time we have introduced an all-new Camaro. We wanted to share the moment with the customers and fans who have helped make Camaro both America's favorite performance car for the past five years, and a cultural icon since 1967." We'll almost certainly be on hand for the debut (and you'll absolutely be able to get all the details here). And as we said, if you happen to be in the Detroit area in mid May, you can register to attend the unveiling. All you need to do is head over to Chevy's dedicated website for the sixth-generation Camaro and sign up for the big event, on Saturday, May 16. Scroll down for the full press release. 2016 Camaro Drops Cover on May 16 in Detroit DETROIT – Chevrolet is inviting fans to see the all-new 2016 Camaro on Saturday, May 16, in Detroit. The sixth-generation Camaro will cap a day-long celebration on Belle Isle, the 982-acre island park that is home to the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix May 29-31. "This will be an event Camaro fans will not want to miss," said Todd Christensen, Camaro marketing manager. "This is only the sixth time we have introduced an all-new Camaro.
