1971 Chevrolet C-10 C10 Short Wide Resto Mod Swb 350 V8 Auto Clean No Reserve on 2040-cars
Little Rock, Arkansas, United States
You are bidding on a VERY CLEAN 1971 Chevrolet C-10 short bed truck. Truck has NEW Red paint with grey and black interior. The truck comes with a nicely built 350ci engine that has a mild Lunati cam, Hooker headers, Edelbrock Performer intake and Holley 650 carburetor. The engine has around 8k miles since rebuild and always runs cool and sounds great through the 2.5 inch Flowmaster exhaust. The transmission is a 700R4 that shifts smoothly. This truck has factory power steering and power brakes- front disc and drums in the rear. The interior has new steering wheel and is clean with no rips in the seat or carpet. Dash and door panels are in great shape also. This truck was an original factory AC vehicle but was taken off a few years back and the heater was replaced with an aftermarket kit. The original factory control panel is in the dash to keep the original look but not hooked up. Instead the knob beside the original controls runs the heater. The aftermarket is much more efficient. Brand NEW 20 inch wheels wrapped with NEW tires. The set has less than 50 miles on them. This truck is very clean and runs and sounds awesome. The body is rust and bondo free and extremely straight. If you are interested in the vehicle and are unable to come in person to check it out please have a third party come inspect the truck before bidding. I have worked hard to keep my feedback score near perfect and want to keep it that way. I recently sold a vehicle for a friend on Ebay and the gentleman left me a negative feedback after attempting to extort money from me after HE abused the vehicle not knowing how to drive it at the racetrack with a set of drag radials on it. He also had a copy of the inspection from HIS shipper stating there wasn't a single flaw in the body of the entire truck but somehow the hood got dented and he tried to have me pay for that.... Im fair but will not tolerate these type of people and prefer you not bid on my items. This is a NO RESERVE auction so winning bidder gets the truck. I will help with shipping inside 30 miles but buyer needs to arrange shipping. Winning bidder to pay $500 deposit immediately afoer close of auction. Please do NOT bid if you have negative or zero feedback. These auctions cost a lot of money and time so please only serious bidders with sufficient funds. Please email or call with any questions you may have (501) 690-5989. Thanks for looking and HAPPY BIDDING!

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

Hertz and GM team up to put 175,000 rental EVs on the road
Tue, Sep 20 2022Hertz and General Motors have announced a significant partnership that will send up to 175,000 electric vehicles into rental fleets across the country. The deal will unfold over the next five years and include vehicles from all GM brands. Â The partnership will run through 2027. Hertz estimates that the electric fleet can save as many as 8 billion gasoline-powered miles, removing 1.8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide-equivalent emissions from the air. Hertz says it will invest in becoming the largest renter of EVs in North America and notes that it already has tens of thousands available at 500 locations in 38 states. By the end of 2024, it plans to electrify a quarter of its fleet. Electric rental cars are a great way for travelers wanting to avoid gas, and they make excellent urban commuter cars. Hertz will also likely save a few dollars by avoiding oil changes and other routine maintenance that gas engines need. However, a hidden societal benefit of this deal may come when Hertz’s EV rental customers begin shopping for new cars. Many people are skeptical of EVs for various reasons, including range, charging, ease of operation, and cost. Giving people a low-risk introduction to EVs and the ability to test-drive one without a pressuring salesperson could drive more people to electrics. At the same time, there's also the risk that renters wanting to take their Hertz-GM EV on a road trip into sparsely populated areas may return with charging and range-related horror stories. Hertz currently doesnÂ’t ask what youÂ’re planning to do with your rental, but it does offer a chat service for questions, and range information is presented clearly on each vehicle.
