1965 GMC 1500 This is a pretty much an all original Very Nice southern truck brought new in Winchester KY living its entire life in Southern Kentucky and Northern Middle Tennessee with the original 230 6 cylinder engine and manual 3 speed transmission (shifter has been moved to the floor), manual brakes & manual steering. The interior has the basic rubber mat and door sill plates, nice original cover on the seat, metal door panels, and floor & defrost heat only. All of the glass is in real nice shape and the doors open and closes as they did in 65. The truck is rolling on a fairly new set of tires and the original 15 x 6 steel wheels with GMC dog dish hubcaps. All the electric stuff works. This truck under went a partial restoration about 10 years ago (new paint, bed wood & strips, glass and rubber). This is as close to a rust free truck you will find and is wearing all of its original panels, the truck bed, wheel houses and tailgate are as straight as a arrow which is unheard of on a truck this old, however theirs a few scrapes and scratches in the paint and could use new some new window felts and sweeps. You can drive this truck anywhere just pull the original manual choke out pump the gas twice let it warm up for 2 minutes and your off and running and ready for some country road cruising. The truck can be seen at any time and please call or text (no emails please) 615-289-8756 Thanks |

Petrolicious profiles one man and his duo of '64 Impalas
Wed, Jul 1 2015Restoring any vintage car is a labor of love. In the end, the investment of time and money is often more than the vehicle is realistically worth on the open market. Deciding to take all of that work on yourself doesn't make things any easier, but it can only increase your connection to the project. Don Rogers, the subject of the latest video from Petrolicious, shows this passion perfectly with his duo of 1964 Chevrolet Impalas – a hardtop and convertible. Both of these Chevys had been sitting for years before Rogers got his talented hands on them, and he did all of the work himself. Now, driving the pair is therapy for him, and he's not worried about anything breaking because he knows he can put it back together. Rogers says he enjoys wrenching on his vehicles even more than going to shows. Doing your own work comes with advantages, like tailoring a project's look to your preferences. It's not original, but Rogers used the crimson interior color from a '59 Impala on his convertible to make the interior pop with the top down. Rogers is undoubtedly a talented builder, and his work is worth checking out in the latest from Petrolicious. Related Video:
Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
