I am selling my 1964 Chevy C10 step side that is in exceptional condition. Thousands have been spent to make this truck what it is today. This is a great daily driver that turns heads, gets thumbs up everywhere and when you stop to get gas get ready for tons of questions. Its just a cool truck that has the look! Let me start by saying everything works on this truck...at least almost (few quirks!). There is so much new I will just list it.
Engine - Fresh 350 small block bored .30 over. Stock cam. New edelbrock carb. Offenhauser intake. New timing chain, oil pump, fuel pump at time of rebuild. HEI ignition with new plug wires, new battery aned alternator.. Burns no oil and has tons of power.
Exhaust- Brand new all the way back. Exits behind rear fenders. Hooker long tube headers into turbo mufflers. Sounds great
Driveline- Saginaw 4 speed into 12 bolt posi track rear end with 410 gears. You can pull out stomps in first gear! All new brakes.
Suspension- all new bushings including ball joints. LMC truck 3 inch lower springs with new shocks including air shocks in rear. Rides very nice!
Interior- New carpet, weather stripping, new CD and Cass player with new door speakers. Sounds good. All gauges work including gas gauge, speedo plus add on gauges including oil pressure.
Body- Lots of money has been spent here. This truck was not a rusted pile of junk to start with but parts did need replaced. Frame is very solid. New fenders, tail gate, driver side door skin, driver side rocker panel and floor boards all new. Cabs corners have minor rust in bottom but minor and only visible if you look completely under truck. Rest of the truck is stock and in great shape. New window sill, all glass is good. New paint that is a enamel. This is a very presentable solid truck but please note this is NOT a $5000 dollar paint job. It looks good but places need more color sanding in my opinion. Still looks great but don't expect showroom or show quality finish. This is a hot rod truck not a $30,000 dollar resto mod.
Misc. - All new hoses, heater core, windshield wiper motor.
I really think the pictures speak for themselves but I would invite everyone to come see the truck. I drove it 100 miles today down the interstate. At one point hit 95 mph! You can burn rubber all day long in this truck. Tons of power. The truck drives great but please do not mistake what I am saying. This is NOT a 2013 Silverado! It drives and handles like a 1964! No power steering or brakes. This is a mechanical truck to drive. Your wife would hate driving it!!!
So what does it need? Felt kit both windows, driver side window crank does not work after body shop installed door skin. All parts still there just not working. Drain plug on oil pan needs a 30 cent rubber washer. Doesn't need oil changed yet so living with a small oil drip till then.
If your looking for a cruise night truck that is a blast to drive but don't feel like spending millions then I think this truck is for you. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. I encourage and welcome bidders to come see truck. Thanks and good luck! You can text 785-317-6708 if you need questions answered quickly. Also has brand new tires!

Chevy Spark EV will go on sale in Maryland
Thu, Jan 22 2015The single-charge range of a Chevrolet Spark electric vehicle may not blow away anyone who's used to driving on a topped off tank of gas. But a full charge will actually get a Spark EV about halfway across the state of Maryland. Which is good because that state will be the first on the East Coast to sell the battery-electric model. General Motors said this week that Chevy Spark EV sales will start in Maryland this spring, and that federal and Maryland tax credits will get the out-of-pocket price of the Spark EV below the $18,000 threshold. GM took the opportunity to tout the Spark EV's 119 miles per gallon equivalent rating and says Maryland has sufficient charging infrastructure for drivers to welcome the EV without too much trouble. Last June, Spark EV distribution was reported to be ready to extend beyond the Pacific Coast. Specifically, Ohio was thought to be next in line to get Spark electric vehicles after four state car dealerships listed the model on their websites. GM's Randy Fox, however, quashed that real quick, saying only California and Oregon had sufficient infrastructure to support the Spark EV. GM first announced the Spark EV for public (or at least American) consumption back in 2011. Last year, the General sold 1,145 Spark EVs, up 87 percent from 2013. For more on the Maryland expansion, take a look at GM's press release below. Chevrolet Spark EV Plugs into Maryland Customer demand drives addition of East Coast; features locally sourced drive unit 2015-01-22 WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chevrolet will start selling the Spark EV in Maryland this spring, expanding the pure electric mini-car's "range" to the East Coast. The Spark EV is the most efficient U.S. retail electric vehicle on the market, delivering an EPA-estimated combined city/highway 119 MPGe fuel economy equivalent and 82 miles of EPA-estimated combined city/highway range. It is priced as low as $17,845, after federal and Maryland tax credits – and it features a locally sourced electric motor and drive unit, manufactured at General Motors' Baltimore Operations facility in White Marsh, Md. "The Spark EV has been one of the most well-received electric vehicles in the industry and customer demand helped make the decision to expand its availability to Maryland," said Steve Majoros, Chevrolet director of car marketing.
Mopar Hellephant is sold out, but here are 4 other awesome crate V8s to try
Mon, May 6 2019Despite a relatively enormous $30,000 price tag, Mopar's 1,000-horsepower supercharged Hellephant crate engine sold out in just 48 hours. Some enthusiasts may have missed out on the crazy engine due to lack of funds, or they just assumed there would still be some Hellephants down the line. But worry not, swap-happy gearheads. There are plenty of V8s in the world to pick from, and we highlighted four favorites. They're not as powerful, but they're all cheaper, and still have a lot to offer. Mopar 6.2L Hellcrate Odds are a lot of prospective Hellephant buyers were Mopar fans to begin with, so we'll start the list with the next-most-potent offering: the Hellcrate. This is the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found under the hood of the Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats and the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. It makes 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque like those cars, too. It's also about $10,000 cheaper than the Hellephant engine at $20,020, and that leftover money can be used to finish the project or for aftermarket upgrades to get it closer to the Hellephant's output. GM LS9 6.2L The Hellcrate isn't the only factory supercharged crate engine on the market. From General Motors comes the supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8. This is the engine that was used in the C6 Corvette ZR1. At 638 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque, it doesn't make as much power or torque as the Hellcrate. But it does boast a dry sump oil system. So instead of pumping oil out of a pan at the bottom, the engine uses an oil tank mounted remotely that pumps oil into the engine. This means the engine is shorter overall, and can be mounted lower for a better center of gravity. It also means that there's almost no risk of running the engine dry in hard cornering, as could happen with a normal oil sump where the oil can slosh to the side without the oil pump. Basically, it offers some major benefits if you want supercharged V8 power for a road course car. It's also a tad cheaper than the Hellcrate at $18,149. But get one while you can, because GM is only selling what's left from when it was building the C6 ZR1. Ford Aluminator 5.2XS Our pick from the Blue Oval lacks a supercharger, but it's still pretty sweet.
Ram 1500 bests new F-150 in MT pickup shootout
Tue, Nov 25 2014Ford's 2015 Ford F-150 is a technological tour-de-force, what with its aluminum-intensive construction and its powerful and efficient new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine option. But now that it's hit the market, it's time to get down to brass tacks and find out how just the latest F-150 actually stands up to its rivals in the hyper-competitive fullsize segment. Motor Trend is among the first to round up the Ford (in Lariat 2.7-liter 4X4 guise here) and put it up against the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman EcoDiesel 4x4 and 5.3-liter-equipped Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 to find out how Dearborn's new-think truck measures up. The test put the trio through over 1,000 miles of tough driving in California and Arizona in a variety of conditions from just cruising around unladen to hauling a trailer. MT found all three trucks to be competent, but the most praise got heaped on the Ram and the Ford, with the Chevrolet falling a step behind its competitors in many tests. Among the Ford's most-liked features was its 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V6 that helped make the F-150 easily the quickest of the group, with some editors saying the engine felt about the same whether driving around with cargo in the bed or not. There was some minor turbo lag during acceleration while trailering, but that issue affected the Ram, too. The Ram's powertrain was lauded, as well. The EcoDiesel was torquey around town, and the 1500's combination of an eight-speed automatic and air suspension was judged to be the best of the lot. It was the most difficult to get into the bed, though. The Ram also won the fuel economy award by netting 20-miles-per-gallon city and 28-mpg highway in the test to beat its Environmental Protection Agency ratings of 19/27. The Ford's EcoBoost managed 17/22, one mpg off each from the EPA numbers, and using a lot of throttle really depleted its efficiency. As MT notes, however, it would take time for the diesel's mileage savings to pay off at the pump for these two trucks. In the end, the Ram just barely eked out the win, with the title partially earned because of "the Ford's unknown maintenance and aluminum repair costs," according to MT.
