Up for auction is a 1963 Chevrolet C10 short step side pickup 6cyl 3spd. I purchased this truck from a 75 year old gentleman that bought it 25 years ago from his wifes uncle, who I'm told, purchaced it new. I was also told the mileage is correct at 51,097 and haven't seen any reason to question that. Look closely at the pictures and you will see this is a very solid and original truck. Note the picture of the rearend and the spiral shocks, which I believe to be original, the wear on the original rubber floor mat, and the lack of dents on the inside bedsides and front bed panel and the tailgate. The previous owner started some work on truck many years ago and then lost interest or was unable to finish. He sanded the truck down and primed then replaced the wood floor in the bed, but set outside and weathered. Body is still solid with minimal rust and bed floor is also still solid. The original color was a dark green, the drivers door has been replaced at some time. There is a small rust area at the back bottom of that door but didn't see any on pass door. The cab corners have a little rust and pass front fender has some. I took pictures of any problem areas so you can see what this truck will need to be nice. The interior is useable as is. I do have the factory radio and it is included. The tag and registration hadn't been brought up to date since 1993 so that has been taken care of and comes with an Oklahoma title with a current registration and tag. The tires are showing some cracks, still hold air, but wouldn't expect to drive it very far on them. The truck runs and drives great, not a lot of squeaks and rattles. I can store this truck up to 30 days free for the winning bidder and can help load. Shipping is buyers responsibility and cost. If you have any questions or need more pictures email or call. Crash victim found still inside car 6 hours after it was towed away [w/video]
Wed, Jan 7 2015Police near Dayton, OH, have quite a confusing case on their hands after the victim of a crash early on New Year's Day couldn't initially be found. Six hours later, the man was discovered lying on the vehicle's floorboard at the tow yard. The unidentified person was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition with possible leg injuries. The police first responded to the scene of the crash around 3:00 am on New Year's Day when a Chevrolet Impala hit a utility pole and drove through a fence, according to WHIO News. The authorities claim that they searched for the man for an hour and a half and came up with nothing. The car was then hauled away to the yard, which was only about 500 feet away. The tow yard worker found the man around 9:00 am and called 911. However, he was clearly dubious about the injured man's predicament and suggested to the operator that he might have returned to the Impala. Police are still investigating the incident. According to WHIO, authorities might have somehow missed the man in the sedan during the search. Alternatively, he could have left the scene of the accident and later returned. Watch the video below for more about this bizarre case. The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience. Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy Volt class action suit proposed, Tesla stock could outperform in 2015
Sat, Dec 27 2014A class action suit has been proposed against General Motors for a steering problem in the Chevrolet Volt. The plaintiffs claim that a defect can cause the steering to freeze intermittently, and that General Motors either knows or should have known about the problem. The case, filed in New Jersey, also claims that defective parts are replaced with the same or similar parts, which are also defective. The plaintiffs say that claims for the 100-plus-member class exceed $5 million. Read more at Law360 or at BigClassAction. Tesla Motors stock (TSLA) has risen after weeks of losses. It gained 5.4 percent during the week ending December 19, when it closed at $219.29 per share. Since then, it rose slightly more, closing at $222.26 on December 24. Morgan Stanley lowered its target price on Tesla stock from $320 to $290, predicting lower sales on the upcoming Model III than expected before, but still called Tesla a good long-term investment. Analysts at CNBC predicted Tesla to be the best performing stock of 2015. Read more at ETF Daily News. Oslo- and New York-based architecture firm Snohetta has designed a zero-emissions house that also charges an electric car. The ZEB Pilot House, built in Larvik, Norway, uses a solar panel on the roof to power the house, which also provides enough excess energy to charge an EV. To make the most of energy most efficiently, the house uses smart technology to use as much energy as it can once it's harvested. This means one can turn on appliances like the washing machine remotely while the sun is at the optimum angle in the sky - perhaps during mid-day when the residents are at work. The house also uses organic materials and is designed to save as much energy as possible. Read more at Wired.
