1994 FULL SIZE CHEVROLET BLAZER-148,493 MILES. I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE I BOUGHT IT FOUR YEARS AGO. THE PRIOR OWNER HAS SONS WHO ARE MECHANICS THE TRUCK HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED. SHE DID NOT DRIVE IT MUCH AND IT WAS ALWAYS PARKED IN A GARAGE. I GOT IT WITH 110,000 MILES ON IT AND COMMUTED TO COUNCIL FROM BOISE FOR WORK SO MOST OF THE MILES ARE FREEWAY MILES. I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED IT WELL-OIL CHANGES EVERY THREE MONTHS AND TIRE ROTATIONS. THE TIRES WERE BRAND NEW WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND ARE STILL IN GREAT CONDITION. I RECENTLY MOVED TO PORTLAND AND HAD THE WHOLE TRUCK LOOKED OVER AND THE TRANSMISSION FLUSHED AND NEW BELTS EXT. I HAVE THE RECEIPTS FROM THE WORK I HAD DONE. MY MECHANICS SAID IT IS IN PERFECT RUNNING CONDITION- NO LEAKS! THE INTERIOR IS BEAUTIFUL SMOKE FREE, NO TEARS, NO CRACKS. THE CARPETS NEED TO BE STEAM CLEANED-I HAD IT DONE A YEAR AGO THEY LOOKED BRAND NEW NO STAINS. THE PAINT JOB IS ORIGINAL A FEW MINOR SCRATCHES WHICH CAN PROBABLY BE BUFFED OUT. NO RUST OR MAJOR DINGS. THERE IS A SMALL DENT ON THE SILVER TRIM ABOVE THE REAR WHEEL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE SPARE TIRE IS NEW AS WELL, I DROVE ON IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH. I LOVE MY TRUCK- I DO NOT WANT TO SELL IT BUT FEEL LIKE I CAN'T GIVE HER THE ATTENTION SHE NEEDS. I WANT IT TO STAY MAINTAINED AND LET SOMEONE ELSE ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I HAVE. I JUST MOVED AND AM GOING INTO A BUSY FIRE SEASON, I AM ALSO STARTING A MASTERS PROGRAM AND HAVE A TWO YEAR OLD AND A PRE-TEEN! I DONT HAVE TIME TO WASH AND WAX AND KEEP IT CLEAN. I ALSO DO NOT HAVE A GARAGE AND JUST DON'T WANT SUCH A BEAUTIFUL TRUCK TO START TO SHOW WEAR WHEN SOMEONE ELSE CAN TAKE CARE OF IT. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTION. I ONLY TAKE PAY-PAL FOR THE DEPOSIT. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING- SHIPPING OR TRANSPORT IS RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. THE CAR NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP WITHIN 7 DAYS OF CLEARED PAYMENT.  I KNOW WHAT THE BLUE BOOK IS ON MY TRUCK AND I KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SELLING FOR. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME TRYING TO GET THE TRUCK FOR LESS THAN IT IS POSTED FOR. THANK YOU

The Corvette Museum sinkhole has been filled

Wed, Feb 11 2015

After swallowing eight of the most prized pieces of the collection from the National Corvette Museum, the massive sinkhole from a year ago is rapidly becoming nothing but a bad memory. Based on the museum's weekly construction update, you can barely see the remnants of the 25-foot deep hole once in the floor. The Corvette Museum's Skydome was not always going to look like this. The original hope was to keep the sinkhole there as a tourist attraction. That plan eventually fell through, though, and instead it was decided five of the less-damaged Corvettes would remain unrestored. Progress has been moving fast to get the repairs done. Even a month ago, the hole was still very visible, and the construction company used remote-controlled Bobcat loaders to fill it in. Now, the museum has launched a contest to guess how many tons of stone it took to fill in the massive crater. The winner gets a print of the 2009 Corvette ZR1 Blue Devil being lifted out. Autonomous tech will drive motorheads off the road

Thu, Nov 9 2017

While autonomous technology could make car travel much safer and more efficient — and automakers and marketers are salivating over the prospect of a "passenger economy" that could potentially generate $7 trillion by 2050 — those of us who enjoy driving are not so stoked. Experts have predicted that as autonomous vehicles are deployed in large numbers, human-driven cars eventually could be outlawed on public roads due to the carnage they create, which is currently more than 41,000 deaths a year in the U.S. alone and climbing. Such scenarios have driving enthusiasts envisioning a "Red Barchetta" style nightmare becoming reality, making Rush lyricist Neil Peart a clairvoyant as well as one of rock's most badass skin-pounders. But there could be a couple of refuges left for motorheads, and they won't be on public roads. As Popular Science's Joe Brown points out in a recent editorial, we're seeing a wave of vehicles being offered by legit mainstream automakers that aren't made for public roads. The poster child of this vanguard is the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which comes with a crate full of goodies that lets you turn the already formidable street-legal muscle car into a drag-strip dominator. Brown also notes that two out of five of the Ford GT's driving modes are for use on the track, "catering to the $450,000 machine's club-racing clientele." We're also currently enjoying the heyday of production off-road-ready pickups that kicked off with the Ford Raptor in 2009. The latest salvo in this escalating war of overachieving trucks is the Chevy Colorado ZR2 that can take on the likes of California's Rubicon Trail without issue. Brown also gives a shout-out to his magazine's Grand Award Winner, the Alta Motors Redshift MX, which "isn't even allowed on public roads" and is "meant for bombing around motocross tracks, big backyards and single-track woods trails." If you follow Brown on Instagram, you know that he's also a two-wheel aficionado, and he points out that sales of off-road bikes are leaving street machines in the dust. Sales of off-highway motorcycles rose 29 percent between 2012 and 2016, according to the Motorcycle Industry Council — compared to 6 percent for road-bike sales during the same period. "That's a nearly 400-percent drubbing," Brown remarks.
