1994 Chevy K5 Blazer, last year for the full size Blazer. This Blazer is 100% Rust free brought to Wisconsin from down South. It has a custom steel cowl hood, custom Harley Davidson interior, Billet steering wheel, and 20 American Racing Fuel Alloy wheels. It has 87,000 original miles (will go up some as I still drive it) stock 350 TBI, 4 speed auto, and is 4WD. I have recently gone over it, and replaced everything that needed attention. Has towing package, Z71 off-road package, and has power everything. It has a nice aftermarket AM/FM/CD player, and front and rear speakers have been upgraded. There is a full size spare tire as well. The Power Steering Pump, Alternator, Serpentine Belt, Steering Dampner have been replaced in the past 2 years. The Intake manifold gaskets, Valve cover gaskets, TBI gaskets, TBI rebuild, MSD Coil, and a new Computer Chip were installed at 43,000 miles. The Chip was installed to correct the Odometer due to the taller tires, Remove the EGR, Run at lower temp (180), and the timing and fuel was adjusted. The Blazer will hit collector car status this September, so plates and insurance should be reasonable. I'm not giving it away, not really concerned with what a book says its worth, It is a nice Blazer with low miles, with custom touches. It has a ton of life left with no rust, and low miles. Dealers around my area are getting $8000 + out of these, and they have rust and high mileage... The Cons - Carpet needs cleaned. Interior is in good condition, not torn up, but could use a good cleaning. The exterior is in very good condition, but could use a good waxing. The NEW in past month: New Firestone Destination AT tires. $1200 New Shocks front and rear $180 New Brakes front and rear including: rotors, drums, shoes, pads, calipers, wheel cylinders, brake hoses $550 New front wheel hubs $ 265 New sway bar links $ 65 New Dual exhaust from manifolds back, Magnaflow mufflers $500 New 4x4 Actuator $ 80 New headlights, running lights, taillights, all new bulbs $170 New Grill $ 170 New remanufactured steering column $225 New plugs, wires, cap, rotor $ 80 New Battery $ 125 New thermostat, radiator flushed and filled. $25 Fluids and filters changed $ 60 AC recharged and blows Ice cold $45 New wiper blades and arms, front and rear $60 Front end alignment done by Firestone. $60 Keywords: Tahoe, Yukon, Silverado, Sierra, CK 1500, 4x4, TBI, SBC I have this Blazer for sale local, and other websites, so I de reserve the right to end at any time.

Recharge Wrap-up: EVs poll well in Portland, Tesla seeks office space
Tue, Aug 5 2014In a poll of drivers in Portland, more than 80 percent said they would be driving an EV in the next 10 years if they weren't already. The poll was small and not scientific, with just 218 votes cast, but it does reflect a slice of a certain population with changing attitudes toward electric mobility, and 80 percent is an impressive figure. Additionally, 43 percent of respondents planned to have an EV in the next five years, and only 18 percent said they prefer gasoline-powered vehicles. With EVs in many ways repeating the adoption process that hybrids went through a decade ago, the five- or ten-year timeframe for more widespread use seems only natural. Read more at the Portland Business Journal. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee parks like an idiot, or rather, his security detail does. His Chevrolet Volt has been ticketed for parking six times since he took office. Granted, those street-sweeping signs are tough to keep track of, but his car has been photographed blocking at a bus stop while grabbing a burrito (who hasn't sinned in the name of a delicious burrito?), and was even caught parked in a crosswalk. The tickets were all dismissed. Read more from the SF Gate. Tesla is looking for office space in Silicon Valley. As the electric car company continues to search for a place to build its $4- to $5-billion battery Gigafactory, it also needs some real estate to expand its operations near its Palo Alto home. Tesla has expanded from 3,000 to 6,000 California-based employees since the end of 2012, and plans to add 500 more by the end of the year. It is currently looking for 200,000 to 300,000 square feet of office space close to its Fremont factory, according to sources in the real estate industry. Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, henceĀ the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950sĀ and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with theĀ American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
