1984 Chevy Blazer, Military CUCV M1009. It is flat black with military type paint. It is a 6.2L Diesel Engine with 73,000 miles. The vehicle runs very well. All the lights and reflectors are new. I have done regular oil changes on this vehicle while I have owned it using Rotella T motor oil. The Blazer has 32 Inch mud tires with a lot of tread still on them. It also has a nearly new 32 inch mud tire for a spare in the back seat. The vehicle is still 24 V but I will give the buyer of the vehicle the directions on how to convert the Blazer to 12 V. I will also give the buyer of the vehicle a military CUCV manual. Blazer has an engine block heater that works very well.
The Blazer is equipped with new lockable center console, front bucket cloth seats from a 1989 civilian model blazer, and a tilt steering wheel from a 1989 civilian model blazer. The vehicle has a new stereo/CD player with after market antenna, and MP3 Player Jack, and Kenwood speakers in the front doors. There is a mounted tachometer on the dash and mounted fire extinguisher on the floor.
All the windows are tinted except for the windshield. The vehicle is covered in rhino-lining inside the cab on everything behind the front seats. The backseat is still in place and in good condition.
There is a mounted large ammo can in the back used as a small tool box. There are a total of four "D Ring" shackles for pulling on the front and back of the vehicle.
The CUCV/Blazer still has functional black-out lights and switches. Four wheel drive (4 Low and 4 Hi) both work. The Blazer is equipped with a K&N air filter. The Blazer has an aftermarket steel Cowl Induction Hood.
I was planning on making this the ultimate camping/survival/off road vehicle however my family is growing and need to get rid of it. I am selling with the Blazer a Radio Shack CB Radio with Wilson Antenna, a Rancho steering stabilizer, and KC Lights (with covers) with electrical switches and harness for lights. Those items have not been installed yet but do come with the blazer as I was planning on adding them. Also, the Blazer is equipped with a white dome light on a toggle switch. I have a new dome light that has the option of white or red (for tactical situations) that will come with the blazer. It is not installed but will come with blazer.
The entire rear latch and handle have been replaced. The last one broke and I ordered all the parts from LMC Truck and installed them. No parts in the latch were reused.
There is only one minor rust spot and it is only surface rust on the passenger side door. The rust spot can be easily fixed and cleaned with minor work.
I am asking $7500 Or Best Offer for the vehicle. Please email me with any questions.

Someone has already test driven the 2016 Chevy Volt
Mon, Aug 24 2015Due to some well-placed connections at General Motors Canada headquarters in Oshawa, a senior member of the gm-volt.com forum with the handle "kickincanada" got about 30 minutes behind the wheel of a 2016 Chevrolet Volt. Kickincanada owns a 2012 Volt, and other than personal reservations over the styling of the new car, he came way nothing but impressed by the second-generation hybrid. He drove the Premier trim, posted his observations on the site, then answered questions for other owners desperate to find out what's coming. He said the interior materials are "more upscale," there is less hard plastic and better leather, the seats are more comfortable, and ergonomically, "Everything is beautifully laid out." Although obviously not as luxurious, the interior reminded him of the Cadillac ELR. Tech touches like a better display, Apple integration, a wireless charging area for the phone, heated rear seats, and a better rear console were also worth noting. As for driving, Kickincanada called it "incredible." The "much more luxurious drive" comes courtesy of a "firm and sporty" suspension setup, less NVH thanks to more sound insulation, quieter Michelin Energy Saver tires, and quieter operation of the genset ICE. He said acceleration from a standstill felt quicker because there was no delay between applying the throttle and the car taking off. He estimates owners should be able to get about 100 kilometers (62 miles) out of the electric mode alone on a full charge, and that the new Volt is "clearly improved in almost every way" (the car's official range, as determined by the EPA, is 53 electric miles). We look forward to finding out ourselves. Click through to gm-volt to read all of his thoughts and responses if there's a hybrid purchase in your future. Related Video:
Farley reacts as UAW expands strike against Ford, GM
Fri, Sep 29 2023Members of the United Auto Worker union walk out of the Chicago Ford Assembly Plant as Lance Williams from Lansing, Ill., waves the UAW flag Friday. (AP)  As the United Auto Workers walk off the job at an additional Ford and General Motors plant, Ford CEO Jim Farley addressed investors and members of the media Friday, pleading the case for the company's latest overture to the union and addressing both public and investor concerns regarding the core issues facing American manufacturing. Farley made a public case for Ford's efforts to resolve the dispute, expressing frustration with the ongoing stalemate and noting both the concessions Ford offered before the strike began and the signing of a contract with Canada's Unifor. Farley also acknowledged UAW President Shawn Fain's success in getting the union's message out, quipping: "Shawn has been on TV more than Jake from State Farm at this point." The first-ever simultaneous strike against the Detroit Three automakers enters its third week with threats of continued expansion, but little in the way of obvious concrete progress. "If the UAW’s goal is a record contract, they have already achieved this," Farley said. "It is grossly irresponsible to escalate these strikes and hurt thousands of families." Farley also lamented the fact that EVs have become the subject of partisan conflict, with the company's recently announced battery production facilities taking heat from both pundits and investors as Ford was forced to press pause on the venture while negotiations continue. Former President Donald Trump dropped in to Michigan this week to declare EVs the enemy of blue-collar jobs. "They've become a political football, and that's a shame," he said. Friday saw an expansion of the UAW strike to Ford's Chicago assembly plant and GM's Lansing, Delta Township, Michigan, assembly plant, covering about 7,000 workers, Fain said in an announcement, bringing the total number of workers on the picket lines to 25,000. The strike will not include any additional members at Stellantis, where talks have reportedly been more productive. The Ford and GM plants went on strike at noon Eastern today (Friday). Ford builds the Explorer and Lincoln Aviator in Chicago. GM's Delta Township plant builds Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave. "Despite our willingness to bargain, Ford and GM have refused to make meaningful progress," Fain said in a video address Friday morning.
GM veteran Bryan Nesbitt tapped to head Buick design
Sat, Jun 6 2015General Motors styling veteran Bryan Nesbitt (pictured above) took over a new role on Monday as executive director of global Buick design and global architectures. Andrew Smith, who previously did that job and also coordinated the look for Cadillac, has remained in charge of the pen at Caddy with this shift. Nesbitt rose to prominence when he designed the Chrysler PT Cruiser, according to Automotive News. He joined GM in 2001 and has been there ever since in multiple high-level roles. In 2007, he was appointed vice president of design for North America and was later briefly general manager of Cadillac in 2009-2010. Nesbitt took over as the vice president of GM's international operations design in China in 2011. This shuffle also moves Ken Parkinson, currently styling boss for Chevrolet trucks, to China as design vice president there. In addition, John Cafaro becomes the person in charge of the look for Chevy globally, rather than previously splitting that role between cars and trucks with Parkinson. GM Global Design Leadership Changes – effective June 1, 2015. Bryan Nesbitt, Design Vice President, GM China will repatriate to North America and assume the position of Executive Director, Global Buick and Global Architectures. He will be located in Warren, MI. Bryan will be the design Champion for Buick in the US and China. Ken Parkinson, Executive Director, Global Chevrolet Trucks and Global Architecture will assume the position of Design Vice President, GM China. He will be based in Shanghai, China. Andrew Smith, Executive Director, Global Cadillac and Buick Design will assume the position of Executive Director, Global Cadillac. He will continue to be the design Champion for the Cadillac brand. In addition, he will continue to lead the Global Color & Trim team. He will be based in Warren, Michigan. John Cafaro, Executive Director, Global Chevrolet Cars will assume the position of Executive Director, Global Chevrolet. He will be the design Champion for Chevrolet. In addition, John will lead the exterior components and accessories team. He will continue to be based in Warren, MI. The roles and responsibilities of Helen Emsley, Mark Adams, Carlos Barba, Clay Dean, Michael Simcoe, and Teckla Rhoades remain the same.
