1957 CHEVY

Being offered is a very clean 1957 Chevy Bel Air 210. This car runs, drives and sounds awesome. Here is your chance to own one of the most sought after body styles GM ever made and they are steadily going up in value each year. This car offers the following:

POWERTRAIN

This Chevy is powered by a Big Block 454 Motor with mild cam. It is very streetable and is fueled by a 2 Holley 500 carbs, with Weiand High rise Aluminum intake, Hooker ceramic coated long tube headers, with new dual 3" Flowmaster Exhaust, and tailpipes out the rear of car.  It is cooled by a new 3 core aluminum radiator, and Be Cool electric fan. The car has recently had new MSD 8.5 wires, MSD blaster coil, new plugs, new alternator, new starter, new belts, new hoses, and all new fluids front to back.  The trans is manual 4 speed with Hurst shifter, upgraded Gm clutch that shifts perfect. The rear is stock with 4:10 gear. The car runs very strong, and is a blast to drive.

EXTERIOR

This Chevy has a very slick paint job, on a soild, straight body. The car was professionally painted years ago with PPG base coat clear coat, it has been garage kept and still shows mirror like reflections as can be seen in the pictures. The car does have a few paint imperfections, mostly go unnoticed unless under flouresent garage light.  There are a few blemishes on trunk next to license plate, bottom of drivers door has a spot about the size of a eraser tip, and the hood has some chips touched up on the edge against passenger fender, again hardly noticeable, but worth mentioning.  See last pics. I would rate the paint a 8 or 8.5 on a 1-10 scale. All gaps and fitment of panels are nice, doors open and close easily. All door, hood, and trunk jams finished out nice. The undercarriage is solid. The floors, frame, body braces, trunk pan, rockers, and spare tire well all look solid.  All glass and trim around glass is nice. Chrome and stainless trim is in good shape. Front bumper chrome is a little faded where the water runs off the bullets. The car also has all newer door weatherstrip. It also has a perfect new set of  polished American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, with Firestone SS20 tires. The front is 15 X 4 with a 165 80, and the rears are 15 X 8 275 60's.

INTERIOR

This 57 has a very clean custom interior. The car pretty much has all new interior except for some of the dash components. The bucket seats are free from any rips and tears and are in great condition along with the rear seat. Carpet is like new. Headliner is new and white. The door panels are in great condition as well. The dash is nice also. The car has a Sony FM cassette player, with 6 X 9 rear speakers.  All  lights, except turn signals work. All guages work as they should.

You don't get the opportunity to buy them like this one to often. Winning bidder MUST PAY FULL AMOUNT within 7 days of auction end. Cadillac Celestiq, Lyriq, Hummer, other future GM electric cars: Here's everything we saw at ‘EV Day’

Wed, Mar 4 2020

WARREN, Mich. — Today, General Motors held an “EV Day” event at its Warren, Michigan, campus to present its new “Ultium” battery technology, modular electric vehicle architecture and soon-to-come electric vehicles. Unfortunately, we were forbidden from bringing cameras into the event, so while we canÂ’t show you what we saw, we can tell you more about it. While we saw the previously teased Cadillac EV (which we now know to be called the Lyriq) and the GMC Hummer pickup teased during the Super Bowl, there were a number of other future cars at the event, which GM President Mark Reuss assured us are all real vehicles in the works. The biggest surprise came at the end of the event, though, in the Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan, which Reuss described as a future flagship that would be hand-built “very locally.” It had been hiding under a dark sheet all morning, with the front and rear illuminated Cadillac emblems shining from underneath. When the wraps came off, we saw a long, white, four-seat fastback sedan. The 23-inch wheels were pushed out to the very corners of the car, giving it what appeared to be a very long wheelbase. The model on the stage had no side mirrors or visible door handles. The grille mirrored that of the Lyriq crossover next to it, with integrated lighting in lieu of the usual mesh or slats youÂ’d see in an internal combustion car. The entire roof, all the way until it tapered to the tail of the vehicle, was tinted glass. In back, vertical tail lighting ran down the C-pillar before turning rearward across the top of the trunk. Inside, everything below the beltline of the windows — essentially all but the headrests and top portion of the steering wheel, was hidden from view. Behind the Celestiq, a large digital display showed a rendering of its interior. The dash consists of a pillar-to-pillar curved LED display serving as both instrument panel and infotainment system. Protruding forward between the front seats was another touchscreen that appeared to house some more controls, with open area, probably for storage, below it. The rear seats had the same sort of touchscreen between them. Built into the back of the front seats were a pair of rear-seat entertainment screens, much like we saw in the Lyriq. The door panels blended wood, metal and animated lighting to give character and a sense of opulence. GM interior design manager Tristan Murphy was on hand to tell us a bit more about the Celestiq.

2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper

Fri, Nov 10 2017

With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave. Chevy to reveal new Spark in Seoul and New York

Mon, Mar 9 2015

Chevy is preparing to roll out an all-new Spark next month, giving us a taste of things to come with the teaser image above. The new Spark is set to debut simultaneously at car shows in Seoul and in New York on April 2, joining the new Malibu that will also mark its debut at the Manhattan expo. Why introduce the new Spark at the same time in South Korea and in the US, you ask? Probably because those are the two biggest markets for Chevy's smallest car, accounting for the lion's share of the 1.1 million units sold in 71 markets around the world since its introduction in 2009. Chevy hasn't revealed much about the new Spark, except to say that its styling will be more sophisticated than the "youthful whimsy" of the current model. A Spark of Sophistication Chevrolet's redesigned global minicar to debut in Seoul and New York on April 2 2015-03-09 DETROIT – The all-new 2016 Spark will debut on April 2 at the Seoul and New York auto shows, Chevrolet announced today. A sleeker, more aerodynamic profile and a progressive take on Chevrolet's signature design cues will give the redesigned Spark a more sophisticated aesthetic that reflects the changing tastes of the global minicar market. "The new Spark's design has evolved and grown up with the segment," said Michael Simcoe, GM International vice president of Design. "The youthful whimsy of the original Spark is still in its genes, but it is conveyed in more traditional proportions that reinforce the customer's refined expectations." Chevrolet has sold more than 1.1 million Sparks around the world since it went on sale as the Beat in India in late 2009. Today, the Spark is available in 71 markets worldwide, selling the most in South Korea, followed by the United States and Mexico. Spark is attracting younger and first-time car buyers to Chevrolet with 26 percent being under the age of 35. Sales of the Spark in the U.S. are up 32 percent in the first two months of 2015 versus the same period in 2014. Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world's largest car brands, doing business in more than 115 countries and around 4.8 million cars and trucks a year. Chevrolet provides customers with fuel-efficient vehicles that feature engaging performance, design that makes the heart beat, passive and active safety features and easy-to-use technology, all at a value.
