Nice restorable 1957 Chevy 4 door sedan. This car is a factory Bel-air and it is a factory V-8 car. It has a freshened 350 engine in it with a mild hydrolic camshaft, with 600 cfm Edelbrock carb and aluminum intake manifold. It has HEI ignition, and a stock 350 turbo automatic transmission. Transmission will leak some if it sits a long time. It has been converted to an internally regulated alternator. It has a new aluminum radiator, It has dual exhaust with turbo type mufflers. It is all stock front to back on the rest of the car. The brakes are all stock and work great, the steering is nice and tight and steers easy. It is very reliable and can be driven daily. I rescued this car from a junkyard about 7 years ago and peiced it all back together. I have been driving it like you see it for the past 4 or 5 years. I cleaned and prepped the engine compartment and painted the firewall and frame all gloss black before I put the engine in and it is still fairly clean under the hood. The underside of the car has no issues that I found. The frame is boxed with no rust, all body mounts are good and even floors are nice. on the inside there is a few small holes in the drivers fllor pan, but it does not need replaced. I patched the bottom of the drivers front fender and it is good. It still has small rust around the headlight on driver side. The pass side fender is real nice, as is all 4 of the doors. rear floor pan and rear floors are all solid and dont need replaced. The quarter panels inside the rear door jambs need patched, and rear spots on the rockers. The trunk lid does have rust in it. No rust in the roof or around the windows, or below deck lid either. Overall it is a very solid car. The glass is all fair (age bubbles on some) crack in right front wing vent. Good windshield and rear glass and all of the window cranks work. It is missing the heater blower motor, but does have a good heater core. It is missing some parts of the kick panel vents. All outside lights work, headlights and tail. Inside functions NOT working are heater, dash lights, fuel guage, wipers, speedo. The temp guage works, alt charge light works, dome light works. I have all the bows for the headliner to go with. The front bumper is pretty good, the grille bar is excellent, and alI of the stainless is on it and in really good condition. I also had the fuel tank out and cleaned and installed a new sender and pickup. It worked for three weeks than the guage quit. As you can see from the inside, the origional color was gold and white. the pictures of the trunk look funny because I got some of it wet when i washed the car right before the pictures. I painted this car with base coat red to give it the rugged look. It is not a nice finish. This is a very fun car and you can drive it home about anywhere (if its not too cold) it has been very reliable and runs strong. It rides real nice at full speed down the interstate and I would trust it to go anywhere. It is for sale with the white ralley wheels and very good tires. If you want the 18" boss 5 spokes they will cost you $1000 more. The 18" wheels are new with used tires. I have a clear nebraska title in hand, there is no vin tag on body. This car is located in central Nebraska right off I-80 in Gibbon. You are welcome to come see it and test drive it. Thanks and good luck. I hav room to store this car inside for you for a reasonable amount of time as long as it is paid in full. You can text me or call. kyle 308 708 1955

2016 Lamborghini Huracan at the Horse Thief Mile | AutoblogVR
Tue, Sep 13 2016AutoblogVR returns to the Horse Thief Mile in the Mojave Desert to put the Lamborghini Huracan to the test. It's everything we want a modern supercar to be: Powerful, striking in appearance, and a riot to drive. But does it live up to Lamborghini's unique performance heritage? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reviews the Huracan on Horse Thief's unyielding curves and elevation changes to find out. Meanwhile, Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin reviews a different kind of performance car – the Chevy SS at the IndyCar circuit on Detroit's Belle Isle. He's ably assisted by ace driver Simon Pagenaud. You must watch his hot lap! The SS is old-school V8 American muscle wrapped in Australian design and engineering. This AutoblogVR segment also launches on the app Sept. 13, and the teaser follows the Huracan preview above. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
GM reportedly developing 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder
Mon, May 15 2023General Motors is allocating a massive amount of resources to developing electric technology, but it's not forgetting about the gasoline-powered cars that make up the bulk of its sales. It's reportedly designing a new 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine based on its 2.7. Citing "sources familiar with the matter," enthusiast website GM Authority wrote that the 2.5-liter four is "in [the] final stages of development," meaning it should be announced sooner rather than later (assuming the report is accurate). Technical details are few and far between as of writing. The publication learned that the 2.5 will be part of the Cylinder Set Strategy (CSS) family of engines and that it will be mechanically related to the 2.7-liter currently found in the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, among several other models. It will feature dual overhead camshafts. It's too early to tell which models the 2.5-liter four-cylinder will end up in, or how much power it will generate. The output will likely depend on the application. For context, the 2.7 delivers 310 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 348 pound-feet of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm in the Silverado. In the smaller Colorado, it provides anywhere between 237 and 310 horsepower depending on the trim level selected. While this is pure speculation, our crystal ball tells us the engine will end up powering crossovers. It's an easy deduction to make. We can't imagine it will be offered in the Silverado, and seeing it in the Colorado is unlikely because its entry-level engine develops 237 horsepower; there's likely not much of a market for a midsize truck with 200 or so horsepower. Putting it in the Corvette wouldn't make sense and the Camaro has nearly reached the end of its life cycle without a successor planned. This leaves us with Chevrolet's range of crossovers, like the Equinox, as well as their GMC-, Buick-, and Cadillac-branded counterparts. We're not discounting the possibility that the cars set to receive the 2.5 haven't been unveiled, but those are likely crossovers, too; the odds of seeing another big Chevy sedan are very, very low. General Motors hasn't commented on the report, and it hasn't publicly announced plans to expand its CSS family of engines. If the report is accurate, we should learn more about the new turbocharged, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the not-too-distant future. Fernando Alonso fails to qualify as Pagenaud takes Indy pole
Mon, May 20 2019Former Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso narrowly failed to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday as France's Simon Pagenaud took pole position for the May 26 race. Kyle Kaiser beat out Alonso for the final spot in the 33-car field when he finished third, one spot ahead of the Spaniard, in a six-car shootout that determined the Indy 500's last row. The 23-year-old Kaiser, the last driver to take the track, averaged 227.372 mph for his four laps, a mere 0.019 mph ahead of Alonso's 227.353 mph average in the McLaren-prepared Chevrolet. "We never surrendered. We kept trying," Alonso, 37, told reporters after a tough week at the famed speedway. The Spaniard crashed his Chevrolet in practice on Wednesday and missed nearly two full days of practice while a back-up car was prepared. Then he tried five times on Saturday to qualify, puncturing a tire on the first attempt. Alonso had a completely new set up for Sunday's shootout but could not get the speed he needed to qualify. "I think the car felt better today than what we had yesterday. (So I am) happy with things we tried," he told reporters before learning he had not qualified. Pagenaud had a four-lap average speed of 229.992 mph to become the first Frenchman to take the pole since Rene Thomas in 1919. "It's just amazing," Pagenaud, who last week won the IndyCar Grand Prix on the track's road course, told NBC Sports. "Obviously last week was amazing, but this is even more special." He will be joined by Ed Carpenter (229.889) and Spencer Pigot (229.826) on the front row. But the Cinderella story belonged to Kaiser, the 33rd qualifier. "I don't think I can wrap my mind around what we just did," he said after bumping Alonso from the field. "This is all the credit to the team. They've been working non-stop trying to get this car ready for us and they did everything that we needed to get into this field."
