2 year frame off restoration with an attention to detail.......4 door body converted to 2 door with correct pillars and quarter panel fillers from my original 2 door post car.....over 2000 documented hours in this build and $17000. + in parts (I have all receipts).

During original auction I noticed no daylight between headers and tires when I parked the car with the tires turned, I cancelled auction to assess...During original mock up of engine placement in chassis there was adequate clearance between tires and headers however the front coil springs were binding on the inside of spring and touching the shock,I removed the springs and cut off a 1/2 coil, that remedied the coil bind and lowered the front end just enough to diminish the header to tire clearance when the wheels are turned . I have continued to drive the car and have not seen any evidence of this causing any issues(no signs of rubber on the headers)   I am hesitant to do anything to address this as it has posed no problem so far, all the components are new and the springs may settle some over time or not...if this becomes more of an issue in the future there are several ways to increase the clearance the most obvious way would be to step down one tire size or add a spacer to the coil spring or add a steering stop to the lower control arm...As stated I continue to monitor this and it has not posed any problems so far. Believe me if the tires were getting melted due to contact with headers I would immediately correct it.

This  I  learned the hard way, the fuel gauge is off. I believe the issue lies in the gauge as I can tap the dash lens and the needle responds....all the fuel components were replaced with new parts

454 big block

a-833 4 speed with overdrive

disc brakes

this car was completely disassembled and rebuilt with new or refurbished components with a close eye for detail...drives great with a solid drivetrain.

partial listing of new parts:

all engine gaskets

Competition Cams cam-lifters-timing set-oil pump-oil pan (milodon)

Perfection clutch-pressure plate 12"  with new flywheel

aluminum radiator with shroud (has never gone over 180 degrees even in 90+ weather).

all suspension(tubular control arms) remanufactured steering box and brake components, tires and wheels, fuel tank, sender

American Autowire  harness with new switches. very clean updated wiring with all leads soldered with shrink tube...electrics are absolutely immaculate

new 1 piece floor pan and much-much more. the pan/chassis has very slick finish that can be hand washed.

*does not have a split bench seat. headliner or windshield wiper motor however it does have the wiper transmissions.

all metalwork was performed at my garage then the car was sent to local Ford dealership for skim coat and block sanding. the bodywork is well over a year old and has had time to shrink. there was one bubble on the door, balance of work is sound and the car is very presentable as is. Remaining bodywork consists of blocking and a couple of  spots that will need a light skim. The balance of work is estimated at 66 hours and in the 4000. range to make body ready and refinish in a 2 stage black finish. I have the estimate upon request

*car handles just like any car of this of this era with stock steering they have limitations and have to be driven accordingly.

Overall this is a proven driver that's 85-90 % complete...  starts easily, sounds great with an aggressive idle and gets with it in a hurry, only driven on nice days the chassis has never seen rain  there are so many details to this build and I am sure I've missed some , this is a fine piece of machinery that is driven daily(weather permitting).I would drive this car  anywhere.  I encourage any questions and personal inspections.I have solid feedback and have done my best to represent this car honestly. only cash will be accepted on this deal unless other terms are agreed to....thanks

I reserve right to cancel this auction as car is for sale locally

Chevy Bolt interior spied for first time

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Chevrolet is continuing work on its Bolt EV, but thanks to some public-road testing in what looks to be somewhere in Michigan, we've captured our first look at the new hatchback's screen-intensive dash. Looking like a blend of the Chevy Sonic with the new Volt, the Bolt's interior follows a simple formula, offering a digital display in place of the traditional instrument cluster alongside a large, prominent display in the center stack. Nothing too shocking, except for the fact that both displays look larger than what's in the Volt. What's most surprising, though, is the shifter. It looks almost BMW-like in appearance. There's a dedicated park button accessible by the driver's thumb, and we're guessing a trigger on the front that can toggle the lever forward into reverse and backwards into drive. The central display, meanwhile, looks like it's running some very different looking software, compared to Chevy's usual MyLink fare. We can't be sure whether this is simply some development software that's free of polish and not intended for production, or a look at a new form of Chevy's connectivity suite. Aside from some different wheels, the exterior of this prototype looks unchanged from the last round of spy photos we captured of the new Bolt. Sorry kids, no new exterior styling to show you today. Still, we've included the entire crop of spy images, covering a variety of exterior angles along with several shots of the interior. Related Video:

Sunday Drive: Spying an automotive future of performance

Sun, May 13 2018

I spy, with my little eye ... the future of the automotive world here in the United States. That pretty much sums up this week's Sunday Drive, in which we pull out the most popular stories on Autoblog of the previous week and try to draw some sort of conclusion as to what binds them all together. This week, it's spy shots, starting with one of the biggest and baddest muscle cars the world has ever seen: the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The Hellish coupe gets a new hood for 2019 with dual scoops, but that's about the only meaningful change for the new model year. No matter. As long as it's packing 700-plus horsepower under those two hood scoops, all will be right with the world. Moving on, we take keep the performance angle but move it from the street to the dirt with a new version of the Chevy Colorado ZR2 that we think is probably called the Bison. We think it'll keep the high-tech suspension bits of the regular ZR2, but add expedition gear that may include a snorkel and a winch. Which, if true, is pretty dang cool. Keeping the truck theme is the 2019 GMC Sierra. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about the trim level in which the truck was spied, and that's what makes this specific example interesting. Base-model trucks almost never get much attention, but they sell in droves to workers who need an honest-to-goodness truck for work or play and don't care about bells, whistles, or massive chrome badges. And finally we have the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, which is on fire on the sales floor right now. But those are all V6-powered Wranglers flying off the showroom floor. Soon, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine option will become available, and now we know that it will return up to 23 miles per gallon in the city and 25 on the highway. That makes it the most fuel efficient Wrangler that Jeep has ever sold. As always, stay tuned to Autoblog this week for all the automotive news that's fit to publish. 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat with twin-scoop hood spied with no camouflage Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison caught testing 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 spied in base trim level 2018 Jeep Wrangler four-cylinder fuel economy revealed Spy Photos Chevrolet Dodge GMC Jeep Truck Coupe SUV Off-Road Vehicles Performance dodge challenger srt hellcat sunday drive

GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado diesels finally heading to dealers

Fri, Jan 1 2016

Customers who have been waiting to receive their diesel-powered Chevrolet Colorados and GMC Canyons should be relived to hear that GM will finally start to ship them out of the Wentzville Assembly Plant. "The highly anticipated 2016 GMC Canyon diesel has begun shipping to dealers," a company spokesperson confirmed to The Detroit News. The trucks originally had a fall launch date, but a final review forced a delay in deliveries. The 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel in the midsize trucks produces 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and the company touts the engine's low emissions. The Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board even put the mill through extra scrutiny with a real world test in the wake of VW's diesel scandal, and the Duramax passed with no problems. At that time, a Chevy spokesperson told Autoblog that the models' launch was on track. The Duramax engine adds $3,730 to the price of a comparable V6 model, but they're the most fuel-efficient pickups on the market. The EPA estimates the twins at 31 miles per gallon highway, 22 mpg city, and 25 mpg combined in two-wheel drive form and 29/20/23 with four-wheel drive. Buyers likely can't wait to finally experience these pickups after reading a heap of positive reviews. The Colorado diesel recently earned Motor Trend's Truck of the Year award. We also came away impressed with it during our First Drive and liked the Canyon during our Quick Spin. Related Video:
