I had this listed for a 7 day auction and someone clicked the buy now and contacted me to tell me they clicked buynow by mistake and I had 25 watchers and could have sold this but for this person that did this cost me a listing fee which I was credited. Please make sure you want this before you click the buynow button.

I purchased this Tahoe around June 2013 to pull my boat to the lake every week and I put a new oil filter, changed the oil, flushed the radiator, new thermostat, new air compressor, and a new battery and I thought I was ready, but there is a miss at idle and did not know what or how to fix it, so I decided to sell it because I'm disabled and cant afford to fix it. I was told it may need a sensor or a tune up. When at idle it misses and at full speed it runs great. I had listed this on ebay and when someone came and checked it out, they found that it may have a head gasket bad on it and this is why it misses. I don't think it is leaking in the oil but in the chamber which is causing the miss. I was told it would cost around 250 to fix yourself. After hearing this I ended the auction and relisted it. Everything on this Tahoe works but the tack in the dash and a back door panel is off but I have it. The compressor I put on needs the back switch put in and I have that and this is what turns on the air conditioner. There is normal wear from age and use with some discoloring and the hood is peeled. This Tahoe could use a good cleaning. I hope you can see the pictures alright but please ask questions if you need to. The tires are not the best but usable...

The way we found that it may be a head gasket is because the water was not circulating as good as it should be but it never ran hot....

Now after I listed this Tahoe with the head gasket problem, I also had this in my front yard with a forsale sign on it, than a guy going to work had hit a dear and lost control and took out our mailbox and hit the Tahoe on the passenger side fender doing some damage to the right fender, grill, and bumper, so again I had to end this auction pending the insurance taking care of this and it took awhile for them to settle.

I have a video of it starting. http://youtu.be/d96OUt8Gx2A

I dropped the price down to $1295 because of this Tahoe needing work and so many miles...Your welcome to come and see this anytime if your in this area...Mitchell Hill Rd Fairdale, Ky, 502-276-3592 Do not buy before you come and check it out, I prefer that you are happy with it before you buy. I will not ship and a local pickup only. There is a motor vehicle transfer place right down the road and must be transferred there during their business hours from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday and it may be opened Sat, I'm not sure.
I have this listed locally and will end this auction if someone comes by and buys it...

Buyer must come here to pay, transfer, and pick up this Tahoe and if from another state, you must come here to pay and we will notarize it and you can take it home...

I'm a trading man and if you want this much cheaper, let me know what you got, I'm into fishing, and hunting so if you got anything in these fields lets talk...

Selling as is so buy at your own risk...There will be no refund on this Tahoe, so check it out to make sure you want it...

Ask questions before you offer or purchase because selling as is with no refund.....

GM follows up Lambda CUV stop-sale with tire recall

Mon, Feb 9 2015

In late January, General Motors announced a stop-sale for about 6,281 examples of the 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave because of the possibility for the treads cracking on their 18-inch Goodyear Fortera HL tires. At the time, GM said that this would also eventually lead to a safety campaign to repair the problem, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has just published those details. GM's recall covers 5,876 of the three Lambda platform crossovers to replace their tires. According to NHTSA, if the treads crack, there could be a loss of pressure and possible failure. Goodyear already announced its own recall of the tires after internal testing found small tread cracks. The company did not believe this was safety issue, but the problem did put the rubber out of compliance with federal laws. The business's safety campaign covered an estimated 48,512 tires. Of those, around 32,000 were reportedly made for GM to either be fitted to vehicles or sold as replacements. The remainder went to the aftermarket. Goodyear's portion of the recall is expected to begin around February 20. RECALL Subject : Tire Tread Cracking/FMVSS 110 Report Receipt Date: JAN 28, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V044000 Component(s): TIRES Potential Number of Units Affected: 5,876 All Products Associated with this Recall Vehicle Make Model Model Year(s) BUICK ENCLAVE 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE 2015 GMC ACADIA 2015 Details Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 14, 2015, 2015 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 20, 2015, and 2015 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 16, 2015, and all equipped with Goodyear P255/65R18 Fortera HL tires. These vehicles are equipped with tires that may experience tread cracking. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or Less." CONSEQUENCE: If the tire treads crack, a loss of tire pressure and possible tire failure may result, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tires that were manufactured within a specific date range, free of charge.

Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox

Mon, Jan 9 2017

Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:

Chevrolet only automaker to win EPA's 2015 Climate Leadership Awards

Fri, Feb 27 2015

Chevrolet was the only automaker to be on the list of entities for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Leadership Awards. Of course, the accolades had nothing to do with any vehicle's tailpipe emissions, General Motors can still be proud. The automaker is engaging in what it calls the Chevrolet Clean Energy Campus Campaign. Chevy is working with the US Green Building Council, among other groups, to find ways for buildings in primary and secondary schools as well as college campuses to reduce their collective carbon footprint via better design. The EPA pointed out the "carbon performance methodologies" used by Chevrolet to run the program and spur lower emissions from its campus partners. The effort is part of Chevrolet's broader goal to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by as many as 8 million metric tons of CO2. And it's going to take more than bunch of plug-in Volt and Spark EVs to do that. Other entities feted by the EPA include UPS, Bank of America, the cities of San Francisco and Oakland, Clorox and Tiffany & Co. Yes, Tiffany. Take a look at the EPA's press release below, and find out more information on Chevy's program here. UPS, Bank of America, SC Johnson Among 16 Organizations across the U.S. Recognized for Climate Action / EPA also recognizes Chevrolet Clean Energy Campus Campaign, San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative in new Innovative Partnerships Category WASHINGTON – From an innovative partnership enabling colleges to sell carbon credits to fund clean energy projects on campuses to some of the country's leading corporations setting and exceeding aggressive emission reduction goals, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leadership Award winners announced today are demonstrating that innovative actions to combat climate change are smart business decisions. Sixteen organizations and one individual representing a wide array of industries from finance and manufacturing to retail and technology show exemplary corporate, organizational, and individual leadership in response to climate change. "I am proud to recognize our Climate Leadership Award winners for their actions to reduce the harmful carbon pollution that's fueling climate change," said EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy. "Our winners are demonstrating that a healthy environment and a strong economy go hand in hand.
