2001 Chevy Suburban 1500 LT with a 5.3 Liter 4x4. Has Rear A/C too!! I am selling this for my best friend. I have known this vehicle since they purchased it in April 2005 with 61,888 mi original. When Mark Purchased it in 05 it came with a CLEAN CarFax that showed one past owner and no issues or incedents at all. Mark maintains it himself and has replaced a large list of items backed by receipts. Many of these items were not replaced because they went out but because it was time based on the maintanence schedule. You will not find a better Suburban out there! I wish I had a need for it because I would buy it for myself. This is one of the nicest Suburbans on the road today. It is beautiful Burgandy/Maroon Exterior with Tan Leather seats and has the 4 captial chair option. With the 3rd row seat it has seating for 7 people. This is a turn key Suburban. Get in and go.

RECENT WORK PERFORMED:

Replaced;

A/C Compressor and Clutch, Tires, Battery, Starter, HD AC DELCO Power steering Pump, HD Towing High Amp Alternator, Belts, Hoses, Radiator, Water Pump, HD Tow Package Fan Clutch, Fuel Pump in Tank, Master Cylinder, Brake Rotors, Calipers, Brake Drums, Shoes, Pitman Arm, Idler Steering Arm, Ball Joints, Tie Rod Ends, Spark Plugs, Wires, Oil with Filter, Rear End and Transfer Case Serviced.

Rebuilt Items;

Steering Box, Transmission, and Front Differential.

This is a California Suburban. It was just smogged and registered in April. It passed smog with no problem. Currently registered til 2015. Don't let the miles fool you. You will be hard pressed to believe this has over 180k miles on it.

EXTERIOR:

Beautiful Original Burgandy Paint. Has the Optional Factory Fender Flares, The paint has been waxed on a regular basis. No accidents or fender benders. No touch up paint at all. No rust or bubling in the paint. All body lines are as they were from the factory. All the glass is nice and not broken. All rubber seals and trim is nice.

INTERIOR:

Tan Leather showing minimal wear. Especially compared with what is out there. It does have the normal wear on the front seats and armrests. They all have this issue. The rear seats and rear bench seat are like new. Look at the carpet on the drivers side. Never seen one this clean. All the carpet is beautiful. As mentioned it has the rear captians chairs with the walk through in the center to the rear seat. All rear seats fold down for cargo space and the rear seat pulls out. The rear seat alone is worth its weight in gold. Fully Loaded with all the factory option creature comforts available. Including Heated fron drivers and passangers seats. Everything works. Also has a complete set of Rubber Floor mats from the Chevy Dealer. They are for all seats, so 3 rows and the cargo area.

DRIVE TRAIN:

The engine is original and never been pulled. Uses little to no oil. It has always been his wifes SUV. The Transmission was rebuilt in May 2011 with 142,568 mi and it shifts smoothly. Front Differential was also rebuilt in 2011. The 4x4 unit works as it should. Unlike many 4x4 vehicles this one has the 4x4 unit engauged (NOT OFF ROADED) a couple times a year. They have a cabin in Green Valley in the San Bernardino Mountains and take it up there a couple times a year. Whether it is necessary to use the 4x4 option or not it is engauged up there just to make sure all is functioning fine. If the 4x4 unit is not engauged occasionally they will have problems when they are from lack of use. It has a 4 inch Lift that was professionally installed. There is no added stress or bad angles on the drive train due to the lift. Everything moves and opporates smoothly.

UNDERSIDE:

The underside is clean with no rust or rot.

Where the 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X fits into the hierarchy of off-road trucks

Fri, Oct 22 2021

The world of off-road pickups sure seems like it's getting crowded, but the reality is that half-ton trucks were always pretty capable, even with what seemed like fairly basic 4x4 packages. It wasn't until recently that manufacturers really started to carve out different off-road niches for their mainstream pickup offerings. With the introduction of the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X (alongside its mechanical twin, the Chevy Silverado ZR2), the crowd has grown even thicker. Even we have trouble keeping up with the increased segmentation of off-road pickup trucks, so we threw together this handy guide to help you understand just where these various packages fit into the broader pickup hierarchy. Let's dive in.  Your basics If we say "Z71" or "FX4" to you, both will probably ring a bell. That's because they've been around a few days short of forever and their respective customers have grown so used to these package codes that OEMs got into the habit of just plastering them on the side of so-equipped truck beds. Anybody who sells a pickup truck offers some sort of basic off-road prep package like this one. Z71 is found on GM vehicles; FX4 is Ford's. Ram just calls it "Off Road Group," but no matter what you call them, they're all pretty similar.  Typical upgrades for this category include some additional ground clearance, a basic all-terrain tire, heavy-duty suspension upgrades and likely either a limited-slip or locking rear differential. These are pretty handy for anything beyond a rutted dirt road. On newer trucks — especially on higher trim levels — you'll probably also get some dedicated off-road drive modes.  Mid-range This is where things start to get interesting. To qualify for this category, a locking rear differential is a must. Most of the names in this segment are well-established too, though some (Nissan Titan Pro-4X, anyone?) may not necessarily be on your radar. The Toyota Tundra TRD Pro checks in here, as does the Ram Rebel, Chevy Silverado Trail Boss and GMC Sierra AT4 (no X!).  Realistically, if there's somewhere you need to go and one of these trucks won't do it, you might want to consider a helicopter. But it's 2021, and our thirst for capability is strong, so of course, there's a way to spend more of your money on this type of thing. Onward! Entry-hardcore Here we are, the home of the new 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X and Chevrolet Silverado ZR2. This is a tiny niche, otherwise occupied only by the Ford F-150 Tremor.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado LT Trail Boss adds 3.0-liter diesel option

Mon, Jul 19 2021

Order books just opened for the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, which, in case you hadn't heard, is almost unchanged compared to the 2021 Silverado. The overhauled Silverado and GMC Sierra that we caught in spy shots several times last year and were expected to launch this year have been delayed. Until that pickup gets here, Chevrolet and GMC will add "Limited" to the names of the Silverado and Sierra. Fleet guides for next year's truck show the official model name as Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD. There are a few interesting features coming next year, though, like the Multi-Flex tailgate joining the options list for Silverado HD trucks. GM Authority also reports that the 2022 Silverado LT Trail Boss adds the 3.0-liter oil-burner with 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque as a third engine option, which should be a big treat for the off-roading crew. Whereas the GMC Sierra AT4 already offers the 3.0-liter diesel, the Silverado LT Trail Boss only offers the 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8s, both bolted to GM's ten-speed automatic transmission. Then there's the Custom Trail Boss that adds the 4.3-liter V6 as an option, and it and the 5.3-liter V8 only get 6-speed automatics. At the moment, Silverado trims that offer the Duramax charge a $1,045 for it over the 5.3-liter V8. If that gap holds true for next year, the diesel will just about evenly split the price difference between the LT Trail Boss with the 5.3 and the 6.2.   Elsewhere in the range, Driving.ca said Canadian fleet guides show the 4.3-liter V6 and lower-spec 5.3-liter V8 with Active Fuel Management (AFM) instead of Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) disappearing from next year's base Silverado WT. To clarify, AFM only shuts off half the cylinders in certain conditions, whereas DFM constantly adjusts how many cylinders are firing all the time. As it stands, that would leave the 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder as the only engine option. However, those other two mills were the only ones left in the lineup that shift through a six-speed transmission, making it possible that they'll rejoin the options list with at least two more gears to choose from. It's not clear if GM will sell the Limited models alongside the majorly upgraded 2022 Silverado. The automaker did just that a few years ago, selling the previous-gen truck as a Limited trim alongside the then-new, current-gen. It certainly wouldn't be the only company to do so, either.
