1998 Chevy Silverado 1 Ton Crew Cab on 2040-cars
United States
|
Thank you for looking at my 1998 Chevy Silverado 1 ton crew cab. This original Texas truck has 141,000 miles (that's about 8800 miles per year). The truck is in above average condition and comes with power steering, power brakes, power locks, cd player, cruise control, cargo light, automatic transmission and a set of brand new LT265/75R 16 Wild Country radial tires. While this truck is not a dually, it is powered by by a big block 454 and will pull a lawn trailer, boat, travel trailer or fifth wheel. It has not been used to pull anything on a regular basis. Non-smoker interior is in great condition, no rips in any of the seats - front seats have always been covered. The carpet is a little faded but not worn. The paint shines beautifully, there are only a few minor blemishes on the bed. Over the last 2 years this truck has had new brakes, fuel pump, heater core, spark plug wires and a new battery. The truck does need a new tonneau cover (about $200.). Overall, this truck is in great condition. Thank you for looking... will only accept certified funds or cash. No pay pal. The mileage is subject to changes as this is my daily transportation.

Nissan Leaf sells 1,553 in April, Volt climbs to 905
Fri, May 1 2015After three months in the 500 and 600 range, sales of the Chevy Volt climbed to 905 in April. That's up for the year so far – likely due to increasing discounts – but still down 41.5 percent from April 2014. As we've been saying every time the Volt turns in less-than-exciting monthly sales numbers, we suspect a large number of potential Volt buyers are waiting for the next-gen model to arrive in the second half of 2015. While the price for that car has not yet been announced, the updated tech specs show that it will probably be worth the wait for drivers who want the latest and greatest. Over on the Nissan Leaf side of things, April sales were 1,553 units this year. That's the second-best month of the year but down from the 2,088 units sold last April. After the Leaf finally climbed to the top of the cumulative best sellers list for plug-in vehicles last month, the difference between these two leaders is now 1,824 in favor of the Leaf. Nissan says that sales were influenced by the launch of its No Charge To Charge promotion in Indianapolis and Fresno, CA. This deal gives new Leaf buyers and lessees two years of no-cost quick charging in these markets. No Charge To Charge is not available in 15 US markets for (San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Nashville, Phoenix, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago and Atlanta) and will expand to 10 more by the middle of this year. As we do every month, our full wrap-up of US green car sales is coming soon. For now, enjoy discussing these sales figures in the Comments below.
GM now finishing and shipping pickups it had parked for lack of chips
Fri, Oct 22 2021DETROIT — General Motors is more than halfway through shipping newly-assembled pickups that it had parked due to a shortage of semiconductor chips, a top executive at the No. 1 U.S. automaker said on Friday. "We've made great progress," Steve Carlisle, GM's North American chief executive said at the Reuters Events Automotive Summit. "We're a bit better than halfway through that at the moment and our goal would be to clear out our '21 model years by the end of the year. We'll have a bit of a tail of '22 model years into the new year but not for too long." The global chip shortage has forced automakers like GM to idle production or in some cases mostly build vehicles and then park them until the necessary chips can be installed, allowing those vehicles to be then shipped to dealers. Last month, GM Chief Financial Officer Paul Jacobson cautioned that GM's third-quarter wholesale deliveries could be down by 200,000 vehicles because of chip shortages. He did not break out what share of that was trucks. To expedite transportation of newly-built vehicles to dealers, Carlisle said GM bought a number of car haulers to deliver them from factories or distribution centers. The Detroit automaker has also allowed dealers to pick the vehicles up themselves in some locations. Carlisle said new vehicle inventories have shrunk to below 20 days in the United States due to the supply chain disruptions, but the company wants to get that back up to 30 to 45 days with some getting to 60 days depending on the product line. GM sees sales of gasoline-powered vehicles being steady over the decade and real growth opportunity in electric vehicles and software, with one not undermining the other, he said. Â
