THIS IS AN EXTREMELY NICE 06 SSR THAT IS EQUIPPED WITH ALL OF THE MUST HAVE OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES INCLUDING THE 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. I PURCHASED THE SSR IN CALIFORNIA OCTOBER, 2012 AND DROVE IT TO MY RESIDENCE IN COLORADO. ONCE HOME THE WEATHER CHANGED AND I PUT IT IN HEATED STORAGE AND ONLY REMOVED IT FROM STORAGE IN JUNE 2013 AFTER THE ROADS CLEARED. IT HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN IN THE SNOW...AS YOU CAN SEE FROM SOME OF THE PHOTOS IT WAS BACKED OUT OF STORAGE SO I COULD TAKE PHOTOS FOR MY FILE. EVERYTHING OPERATES CORRECTLY. THE PAINT AND INTERIOR ARE IN GREAT SHAPE . THE HOOD HAS A ROCK CHIP AND THE RIGHT REAR BUMPER HAS A TRI-CYCLE SCUFF DOWN LOW. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED AND HAS LIVED A LIFE FREE OF SMOKING. THE PHOTOS SUPPORTS THE CHROME WHEELS, COLOR COORDINATED RUNNING BOARDS AND AUXILIARY GAUGE PACKAGE, WINDSCREEN, SOFT SIDED SADDLE BAGS, TRUNK ORGANIZER BAG, SSR FLOOR MATS (RUBBER MATS IN PHOTOS ARE NOT INCLUDED), I HAVE INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY AND HAD IT FULLY SERVICED TO INCLUDE MOBIL1 OIL AND K&N AIR FILTER. INCLUDED IN THE SALE ARE THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, GM BUILD SHEET, BOTH SETS OF KEYS WITH REMOTES, TOP TOOL, CUP HOLDER, AND OWNERS MANUAL WITH BLACK COVER. Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

Question of the Day: Worst year of the Malaise Era?
Thu, Jun 23 2016The Malaise Era for cars in the United States spanned the 1973 through 1983 model years, and featured such abominations as a Corvette with just 205 horsepower (from the optional engine!) and MGBs with suspensions jacked way up to meet new headlight-height requirements. There were many low points throughout this gloomy period, of course. The horrifyingly low power and fuel-economy numbers for big V8s during the middle years of the Malaise Era make a strong case for 1974 or 1975— the years of Nixon's resignation and the Fall of Saigon, respectively— as the most Malaisey years. But then the GM-pummeling debacles of the Chevy Citation and Cadillac Cimarron could make an early-1980s year the low point. 1979, the year of the ignominious Chrysler bailout? You choose!
