| NO ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS!!! You are bidding on a 1994 Chevrolet S10 extended cab with a V8! It is either a 305 or 350 I want to be honest from the start I can't get an opinion around here OR get to the engine numbers because of the tight fit!  This truck was converted by a gentleman in Rolfe iowa ( close to where I live)  who spent a lot of money doing it years ago. Everything is factory plug and play gm electronics. and it has regular exhaust manifolds. It is throttle body fuel injection and there are some LOKAR parts on the engine for fitment purposes. It also has a twin high speed electric cooling fan setup as well.  Very FAST truck, but will get 20mpg!!! it has SOME rust (see pics) heat, ac, etc everything works great we used it for the entire summer I took it on trade for another vehicle. Has just been serviced with Mobil One synthetic, has a new fuel filter as well. The rear end is Posi and it has a great sounding exhaust. comes with a sub and amp as well as a nice cd player. I love this little truck but I am only selling it to fund my corvette project. I just put a nice set of tires and factory wheels on it with tons of tread. I will also include an EXTRA factory rim as well as a set of mags and ok tires that it came with. it also has an overdrive tranny and the cruise works great! GM ending stop-sale order on heavy-duty trucks
Tue, Apr 26 2022General Motors responded to an inquiry from Autoblog regarding a stop-sale order on its full-size heavy-duty pickup trucks. Here's GM's official statement. GM is committed to building the highest quality products possible. We paused delivery on a small number of HD pickups with the 6.6 liter Duramax engine last week to finalize an investigation into a potential quality issue. The investigation has been completed and the stop sale will be lifted for the small number of vehicles at dealerships.Customers can be assured GM’s heavy duty pickups are covered by a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. General Motors has reportedly sent its Chevrolet and GMC dealers a stop-sale order that applies to some examples of the 2022 Silverado HD, the 2022 Silverado MD, and the 2022 Sierra HD. The units affected by the stop-sale order may develop an engine-related problem. Citing anonymous sources, website GM Authority wrote that the Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 in the affected trucks can hydrolock, which means liquid could enter the cylinders and cause a substantial amount of damage. The report does not specify where the liquid would come from; hydrolocking can happen by driving through a deep puddle of water, for example, but a large amount of coolant can cause it as well. The publication adds that the stop-sale order was assigned internal reference number N222362910. It also notes that the trucks included in it can't be sold, delivered to buyers, traded with another dealer, sent to auction, or even used for demonstration purposes until further notice. Earlier in April 2022, GM Authority reported that General Motors planned to buy back an unspecified number of Silverado HD and Sierra HD trucks due to quality-related issues with the 6.6-liter V8. Details about the problems experienced by customers haven't been released; all we know is that each truck will be replaced, though the replacement may not have the same equipment due to the ongoing chip shortage. 2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
