This is a true daily driver. It has a brand new crate 350 with less than 6000 miles straight from GM. Every item bolted to the engine is new such as starter, alt, electronic distr, headers, radiator, 4barrel holly, and all bolted to a 700r transmission that was taken down to the last bolt and reworked. This is a power steering power disc front brake truck. All lights work as do the gauges. There is a new fuel tank and sending unit but gauge still bounces in dash. Speedo works but also bounces some. All original dash and not cut up. Has new wiper motor and switch and a new lock kit for doors and glove box. Front and rear glass is new with new seals. Has new rubber seal for healiner but the liner itself is not there. Brand new tires and American racing wheels. The rear end is changed over to a late model 5 lug also. This is a very solid truck. No rust however there is a crack in an older repair in cab corner. Floors are rust free. Paint is fair but as pictures show, gas has caused paint damage where it over flowed causing peel. I drive this truck down the interstate at highway speeds without a glitch. Turns 2100 rpm at 65mph. Beds wood and solid and I drive and use the truck. Has new front and rear bumpers. Also just installed a factory correct speaker system but has no radio. Brand new Battery, there is a bit of filler on one kick panel under passenger door. Think its just glazing but could have been smoother. Late model steering colume and fuse box. No heat or a/c. True dual exhaust that sounds amazing. For more info call or text 731-446-7099. First time bidders with 0 history contact me first as i may delete your bid. Sorry but so many people who dont finish a transaction these days so we do this to prevent relist fees. This is a tight old truck but im looking more for a earlier model truck is the only reason shes for sale. Just like the 1920-1950s style myself these days. I have clear title in hand.

Hillary Clinton takes to campaign trail in a van called Scooby
Wed, Apr 15 2015It still seems way too early to even starting thinking about the 2016 presidential election, but candidates are already throwing their hats in the ring. Among the officially announced hopefuls so far is former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. To kick off her run for office, she recently embarked on a long-distance road trip from her home in New York to the campaign battleground of Iowa. Rather than a limo, she was driven there in a conversion van (pictured above) that Clinton named Scooby after Hanna-Barbera's famous, mystery-solving dog. According to Yahoo Autos, the vehicle itself is a Chevrolet Express that has been customized by the Explorer Van Company, and Time says that it's also armored. Clinton isn't behind the wheel, though. All those years in public office mean that the Secret Service does the driving. Of course, the vehicle in Scooby Doo was named the Mystery Machine, and Scooby was mostly brown, not black. To explain the somewhat odd naming, Clinton traveled around in a brown van during her 2000 Senate campaign in New York, and it earned the nickname Scooby, according to Time. Apparently, the moniker has stuck for her latest ride. If the start of the Clinton campaign seems early, she isn't the first White House hopeful to arrive in Iowa this year. A bunch of possible Republican candidates already met at summits in the state at least twice to gain favor ahead of the caucus there. No word on what they were driving...

Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond
Thu, Dec 28 2017Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.
