1951 Chevy 3100 series half ton pickup truck.  Very good truck to be finished to your taste, or drive as a Rat Rod and enjoy as it is.  Exceptionally straight body with minimal rust. This is the factory original SEACREST GREEN color (Google 1951 Chevy Seacrest Green ).  Not many this color produced.  Floor boards have had patch repair.  Very nice rust free and straight running boards. Super nice box with exceptionally nice side panels and front box panel. Tailgate is very straight with minimal rust ( see pictures ).  Cab is very straight with minimal bubbling in right cab corner.  Hood and fenders are very good with minimal body repair needed.  Doors are excellent with no rust in bottom of doors. All glass is intact with one cracked door glass.  Windshield gasket and rear glass gasket have been replaced with new gaskets 5 yrs ago and are still like new condition with no cracks or splits.  Windshield is fogged around edges from age.  The grill and gravel shield between bumper and grill are very nice with no damage.  Bumpers are excellent but not in new condition.

ENGINE:  A freshly rebuilt Chevy 350 engine by a seasoned 30 yr. auto mechanic  with less than 200 miles since rebuild.  Mild RV performance cam with aluminum intake and Eldebrock 600 cfm carburator.  Engine was rebuilt 5 yrs. ago and has been started and driven every few months to approximately 200 miles.  Runs good and smooth.  Fuel tank and fuel lines cleaned and new fuel filter.

TRANSMISSION: Freshly rebuilt GM turbo 350 transmission at same time engine was rebuilt.  B&M floor shifter.

SUSPENSION: Original straight axle front end with new brakes, drums, wheel bearings, wheel cylinders, brake lines and shocks. New king pins and bushings. Front end is tight and solid. Updated later style steering box. Stops on a dime. Manual steering.

REAR END: 1969 GM half ton  pickup rear end with open drive shaft with good highway gears and 6 bolt wheel pattern.

ELECTRICAL: New custom built wiring harness from front to back with late style fuse panel. Electric cooling fan.

EXHAUST: NEW dual exhaust. Sounds very nice with slight lobe to it.

HEAT AND AIR; Cold air conditioning and good heater. All air conditioning components under hood are new such as polished compressor, condenser and dryer. Evaporator is used but works good. Heater is from late model Toyota pickup.

TIRES AND WHEELS: 75% tread on 205/16 radial tires and the factory original 16 inch 6 bolt pattern wheels with nice caps and trim rings.

A super good truck to take to the next level of restoration for a nice street rod with loads of the hard work already done and a very good straight body to boot. What you see is what you get.  No warranties implied or expressed.  If you have questions feel free to email, text or call 918-606-1338.  The reserve price is reasonable to truck's overall condition!!   PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A PUBLIC AUCTION. AS WITH ALL PUBLIC AUCTIONS THE RESERVE IS NOT MADE PUBLIC!!!!    Clear Oklahoma title.  In storage but driven every few months to keep everything lubricated.  Starts very good in cold weather and runs smoothly.  Delivery is possible for a fee and depending on location and my schedule, but delivery is not guaranteed.  If you have negative feedback or less than 25 feedback score, you must call me for permission BEFORE BIDDING or risk your bid being canceled. Serious bidders only. Your bid is a legal contract to purchase, so please do not bid unless you are a serious bidder and have the funds to purchase. Inspections are welcomed.

Danica Patrick hands over keys to first 2016 Chevy Camaro

Mon, Nov 9 2015

Alican "Turk" Boyacioglu got more than he expected this weekend when he picked up his new 2016 Chevy Camaro, the very first sixth-gen Camaro to be delivered to a private customer. That's because racer Danica Patrick was on hand for the delivery. The handing over of the keys took place at Texas Motor Speedway – a stop along the brand's Find New Roads trip. The journey is being conducted to introduce America to five new Chevy models: the Camaro and also the new Malibu, Cruze, Volt, and Spark. The road trip kicked off on October 19 and will conclude next week on November 14. Boyacioglu ordered up a red Camaro SS from Huffines Chevrolet in Lewisville, TX, north of Dallas. When he headed from Kansas to northern Texas to take delivery, he was pleasantly surprised to see Danica climb out of the car to hand him the keys. Though she may have raced under Honda power during her IndyCar days, Danica's NASCAR stock cars have always been powered by Chevrolet. She even drove a Camaro in the Nationwide Series. The smile on Turk's face ought to last him the nearly five-hour drive home to Wichita. For everyone else, deliveries are set to commence in earnest in the middle of this month. The first models to be delivered will be V6 coupes. Convertibles and turbo-four models will start shipping early in the new year. Customers will be able to choose between six powertrain combinations, made up of the 2.0-liter turbo four, the 3.6-liter V6, and the 6.2-liter V8, each available with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. Pricing starts at $26,695 for the base 1LT trim and extends up to $37,295 for the 1SS. DANICA PATRICK SURPRISES CUSTOMER WITH 2016 CAMARO Huffines Chevrolet delivers first 2016 Camaro to Alican 'Turk' Boyacioglu DALLAS – Racecar driver Danica Patrick helped the team at Huffines Chevrolet deliver the first sixth-generation Camaro to a customer from Wichita, Kan., at the Texas Motor Speedway stop of Chevrolet's Find New Roads Trip today. Alican "Turk" Boyacioglu had been eagerly tracking the build of his 2016 Camaro SS and could not contain his excitement when Patrick emerged from the car and handed him the keys. "This whole experience was surreal," Boyacioglu said.

Should heavy-duty pickup trucks have window stickers with fuel mileage estimates?

Sat, Sep 23 2017

If you were to stroll into your nearest Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan, or Ram dealership, you'd find a bunch of pickup trucks. Most of those would have proper window stickers labeled with things like base prices, options prices, location of manufacture, and, crucially, fuel economy estimates. But you'd also run across a number of heavy-duty trucks with no such fuel mileage data from the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA doesn't require automakers to publish the valuable miles-per-gallon measurement for vehicles with gross weight ratings that exceed 8,500 pounds. That makes it difficult for consumers to compare behemoths powered by turbocharged diesel engines – between one another, and between smaller, gasoline-fueled trucks. Consumer Reports doesn't think it should be this way, and it's spearheading an effort (PDF link) to get the government to require manufacturers to publish fuel economy estimates. In its own testing, CR found that heavy-duty pickups powered by Ford's Power Stroke, GM's Duramax, and FCA's Cummins diesel engines (which doesn't include the Ram's EcoDiesel) get worse fuel mileage than their lighter-duty gas-powered siblings. We're not so sure HD-truck buyers are unaware of this fact – big diesels don't really come into their own until big loads are placed in their beds or attached to their trailer hitches. Under heavy workloads, the diesel trucks will almost certainly return greater efficiency than a similar gas-powered truck. What's more, HD trucks with lumbering diesels in general make the driver feel more confident while towing due to greater torque at low engine RPM than gas trucks. They also offer greater max-weight limits. Still, we agree EPA fuel mileage estimates should be offered for heavy-duty pickups. And we think the comparisons provided by Consumer Reports might be interesting to potential buyers. Click here to see the results of CR's tests, and let us know what you think using the poll below.
