1967 Chevy 2 Nova, This car has had a total Restoration from top to bottom. These little Nova’s are one of the best looking hotrods Chevy ever produced. Let me start with telling you about the body, it is very straight with no filler of any kind and still has the original body panels. The body is as nice as any I have been around and I have owned 32 of these 66-67 Nova’s. The paint is a very high gloss show finish and is very very nice. The color of the car is Gold and it really looks good on this car it’s not your everyday red or black like everybody else has. All the trim is in very nice condition also. The underside has all original floor pans and cross members and is painted a black satin and is very clean. The rear end is a10 bolt Posi with 410 gears that will snap your neck back when you put the pedal down but with the 4L60 E over drive trans mission the car runs 70mph at 2300 rpms down the freeway so you get the best of both worlds. This car really scoots. The rear has a 4 link with disc brakes, drilled and slotted rotors, 19’’ Billet Turbine wheels that really look great, and adjustable coil overs that get you that sweet look that everyone wants. The engine compartment is very clean and is home for a sweet little LS-1 Corvette Motor that is out of a 2004 model that had very low miles on the motor. The headers are Jet Hot coated so they look good. The front end is the Heit’s front end that has a power rack so steering and handling is very nice along withTubular A-arms, with adjustable coil overs up front, Corvette disc brakes, with drilled and slotted rotors, and 18’’ Billet Turbine wheels. The car stays cool because it has an aluminum B Cool radiator in it with electric fans. The car drives like a new car! The battery is mounted neatly in the trunk which keeps the engine compartment looking good. The interior is the factory 67 bucket seats with a floor mounted automatic factory counsel and over drive shifter and lens. A chrome IDIDIT tilt steering column, Dakota digital dash, AM/FM/CD radio. The interior looks like new and has plenty of up grades. This is one nice nice Nova that needs nothing. There has been a lot of money spent on this build and only the best components were used, This is a quality car and it shows. My first choice is to sell the car but I might consider a trade but I’m very picky and I’m not looking for anymore projects, boats or motorcycles. Please send your trade pictures to dadofcars@yahoo.com I’m selling the car locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If you follow any of my auctions you will see that they seldom reach the full 7 days so if you have any interest in making an offer please don't hesitate. I require a $2,000 Non refundable deposit at the end of the auction no exceptions or excuses if you don't send the deposit I will just move on to the next person I won't hold the car for you to come and look at it then give a deposit the deposit is required at the end of the auction and the balance within 7 days. I welcome you to come and inspect this beauty by appointment. If shipping is needed I do have a very good, reasonable shipper I can connect you with but the shipping cost is the buyer’s responsibility. Please call 330-353-0959 if you have question. If you’re looking for a great car that has the look and performance don’t miss this one 330-353-0959 photo IMG_2547-Copy_zps259f9e58.jpg photo IMG_2547_zps3c746982.jpg photo IMG_2548_zpsc2ace078.jpg photo IMG_2551_zpsab8840ce.jpg photo IMG_2553_zps2420c80d.jpg photo IMG_2554_zps405b4109.jpg photo IMG_2555_zps2a19e3f3.jpg photo IMG_2557_zps417abd1a.jpg photo IMG_2559_zps28143563.jpg photo IMG_2561_zps8cf707c2.jpg photo IMG_2562_zpscacc196d.jpg photo IMG_2564_zpsdb4260aa.jpg photo IMG_2565_zps349aa5c1.jpg photo IMG_2568_zpse5c25dac.jpg photo IMG_2569_zpsc532786f.jpg photo IMG_2570_zpsed486ab7.jpg photo IMG_2573_zps446ce471.jpg photo IMG_2574_zps0eecc20a.jpg photo IMG_2576_zps5b549dc2.jpg photo IMG_2578_zpsca482a64.jpg photo IMG_2580_zps476286d1.jpg photo IMG_2581_zpsdc0324a7.jpg photo IMG_2585_zps51fc07b7.jpg photo IMG_2588_zpsaaad0ede.jpg photo IMG_2589_zpsfe325544.jpg photo IMG_2590_zps5092ba2c.jpg photo IMG_2591_zps82c0d05a.jpg photo IMG_2594_zpsafa53bc0.jpg photo IMG_2597_zps56e94bdb.jpg photo IMG_2599_zps610edbe5.jpg photo IMG_2604_zps148ec1b4.jpg photo IMG_2605_zps2c3ab34a.jpg photo IMG_2606_zps917f6424.jpg photo IMG_2609_zpsd017ccef.jpg

Is your new-car warranty good at the race track?

Mon, Feb 27 2017

We've all heard the horror stories. Your buddy knows a girl that was dating a guy whose best friend's brother once broke his brand-new, recently purchased performance car while making runs at a drag strip or laps at a track day, and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. True story? Urban legend? Complete crap? Yes, no, maybe. One thing's for sure: Automotive warranties have always come with caveats. In 1908, an ad in the Trenton Evening Times clearly stated: "All Ford Cars Guaranteed for One Year." Although it changed over time, by 1925 the Ford New Car Guarantee only covered 90 days on material and 30 days on labor, and it clearly stated that that there was "No guarantee whatever on Fan Belts, Glass, Bulbs, Wiring, Transmission, Bands, Hose Connections, Commutator Shells, Rollers, Spark Plugs or Gaskets." Whether or not Ol' Henry would pay to fix your Model T if you broke it shaving a tenth off your lap time at the local board track seems to be lost to history. We're guessing no. But what about today? Do new-car warranties in 2017 cover cars when they are driven on race tracks? We researched the warranties of 14 auto brands to find out, and the answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on the brand, in some cases the model, and whether or not your car is modified from stock. Acura has been out of the high-performance car game for a number of years, but jumps back into the party in 2017 with its hybrid-powered $173,000 NSX supercar. And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover "the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events." View 33 Photos So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. "If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question," he told us. "However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further." Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si. This became a common theme. Chevrolet actually started this practice with the fifth-generation Camaro on the high-performance ZL1 and Z/28 models.

2018 Hyundai Accent vs subcompact sedans: How it compares on paper

Fri, Sep 29 2017

Hyundai first revealed the new 2018 Hyundai Accent a few months ago, but that debut was in Canada for the Canadian-market car. We didn't get our look at the U.S. version until just recently, which is when we also finally got plenty of specifications on the little car. So as we did with the Genesis G70, we've brought you a breakdown of the Accent's specs and some of the segment's best and most popular: the Nissan Versa, Kia Rio, Chevrolet Sonic and Toyota Yaris iA. Before we get to the chart, let's give you a quick reintroduction to the 2018 Accent. The subcompact is completely new this year, and under the hood is again a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. It makes 7 fewer horsepower and 4 fewer pound-feet of torque than the outgoing model with totals of 130 horsepower and 119 pound-feet. This drop in power probably won't be noticeable, though. It's also available with either a manual or automatic transmission, both featuring six speeds. Fuel economy hasn't been announced, but the Rio's numbers below are probably a good indicator as they share powertrains. The one thing that isn't available with an Accent is a hatchback. According to Autoweek, the hatchback was canned with the assumption that hatch buyers would simply purchase an example of the upcoming Kona crossover. But if you want a traditional subcompact hatch from South Korea, Kia is happy to oblige, as the Rio is still available as a hatchback. Learning that the Kona may have killed the Accent hatch causes us to wonder if Kia brought the Rio hatch to the U.S. because it wasn't planning on offering the Stonic. Autoblog In Cuba: 1957 Chevy Bel Air Review

Mon, Oct 5 2015

If you've been following the Autoblog In Cuba series, you may remember that my efforts to rent a car in the country were ultimately unsuccessful. Misinformation, bad planning, and a lack of rental car inventory conspired to disrupt my hoped-for driving adventure. I discovered in my week of exploration, however, that the terrific thing about Havana is that there's always another adventure to be found – if you're willing to look. A car I could drive myself might have been impossible to come by, but a ride to remember was not. After all, even when reviewing a new car, I've found that impressions about the car and the route can be credibly formed from the right seat. Starting from the parking lot of the grand Hotel Nacional, finding an interesting car for hire is as simple as walking up and down the block. Scads of classic American iron wait just outside the hotel gates, in a riot of colors and conditions befitting the tropical climate. Fords from the 1940s are plentiful – more sedans than coupes – and the glory days of General Motors are represented by enough Pontiacs and Cadillacs to fill a Bruce Springsteen B-sides album. But the Chevy Bel Air is the king of the road here, by some margin. View 30 Photos I settled on a burnt orange 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, in tourist-appropriate condition. I was looking for a hardtop at the request of my crew's audio/video needs, but settled on a burnt orange 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, in tourist-appropriate condition. This car might look good as a prop in the background on your vacation photos – hair blowing in the breeze with the ocean at your back, parked in front of Che's face in Revolution Square, etc. – but was far from pristine on a closer inspection. A perfect representative of the Cuban average. At least the price was right: $50 for two hours to make it 12 miles to Hemingway's house, and back. My driver was a kid named Daniel who looked to be about 20 years old. The Chevy doesn't belong to him, he co-drives it with the owner, but he was able to give me the basic mechanical rundown. The eight- or six-cylinder engine that Chevy shipped this convertible with was long gone. No surprise there, as nearly every American-made car I'd ridden in so far was powered by some belching Mercedes diesel. Despite it's clattering note, Daniel said the lump under the hood of the '57 drinks gas: a four-cylinder of Russian origins, pulled out of a GAZ Volga as best I can understand.
