1966 Nova Wagon that i have owned for many years and has seen many different looks.

This has been a 3 year project with the help of 2 great friends that are mechanical genius and master auto painter.
The nova was original brownish gold, then went to a white and then decided this car needed a ground up since Wagons have become so popular. Decided to paint it 2005 Chevrolet SSR Aqua Blur, a beautiful blue that changes color in the sun...a translucent paint.  

Everything on this car is either new or rebuilt..no short cuts taken. Car was taken down to a shell and was painted as if it came from the factory this color...interior and dash also.

Nova has power steering, power disc brakes, FACTORY AIR and power windows.
  1. Paint is 2 stage paint using only PPG paint and Clear. The clear coat is the better clear that helps block the ultra violent sun rays...both about 500.00 a gallon and there is about 3 gallons each on this car.
  2. Motor is a 383 stroker with 525 hp.
  3. Flaming Rivers front rack,tilt collum and steering wheel.
  4. Wheels are Weld 15x6 front-15x12 rear..with Hoosier Tires front and rear.
  5. Ford 9in rear with 410 gears and posi-tract.
  6. Chevy 350 turbo with B&M Shifter.
  7. Interior is all new, everything.

I do have most receipts for the build and lots of pics.

The body is laser straight and of course no dents or dings....perfect alignment of body panels and all doors open and close as they should...Paint is a 91/2 +..would give a 10 but have found 2 imperfections..small but there. Very fine small scratch on tailgate, very hard to see..easy fix and one spot on the fender, very small and you have to look to find it. I am very anal about my cars so i might be a tad picky.

The motor was custom built, it is all forged, alum heads and used nothing but the best in building this motor.

This car has custom made tinted side and tailgate glass that matches the color of the car. It is legal in all states and has the sticker in the corner of all glass. It is real glass not a tint job with film. I do have the original glass that comes with the car. 

Hard to describe what all has been done to the car, but i used nothing but new parts and if you ever did a ground up you know what i mean and what is cost to build a car. I hate to admit but with the cost of the car included i have over 55k invested and there are always more things i could do but had to stop..lol

I am a retired truck driver and cars are my passion, car was built to drive and have fun at local car shows. Car has never been abused, never raced and my wife will tell you they get better attention than her..lol

I will look at trades but you pay the cost both ways.  62-65 nova, 48 anglia , late 50's Cadillac, ssr or corvair spyder.

Forgot to add that it does come with a ton of extra parts, most all of the original parts i took off, original bumpers, extra hood, new stock radiator, new complete set of brake lines, all the original glass and tons of other stuff.

4900 1966 nova wagons were V8's...this was originally a true v8 wagon when new. This also is the deluxe just had more trim that the regular 6cyl wagon..Tailgate window crank has been removed, tailgate glass is powered also.

NHTSA upgrades probe into 1.7 million GM vehicles over wiper failures

WASHINGTON — The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Tuesday it is upgrading an investigation into 1.7 million General Motors vehicles for windshield wiper failures. The auto safety agency opened the probe in November 2018 to see if GM needed to expand a 2016 recall of 2013 model year Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain SUVs to cover additional vehicles. The engineering analysis probe covers 2010-2012 and 2014-2016 Equinox and Terrain vehicles. NHTSA could demand a recall after it completes the probe. NHTSA said it has reviewed 1,900 complaints and reports related to the issue in the 1.7 million vehicles. NHTSA said it has seen elevated failure rates in the 1.7 million vehicles, even though GM said the recalled vehicles have "double the warranty rate and five times the complaint rate." GM said it will "fully cooperate to support their investigation. We do not believe these windshield washer systems are defective." The wiper failures that prompted the 2016 recall were attributed to water and debris intrusion into the windshield wiper assembly ball joints, leading to excessive wear and eventual detachment of the ball joint. GM said it was installing an improved windshield wiper motor and transmission assembly and relocating a drain hole at the base of the windshield. Related Video:

Specialization keeps the automotive world interesting because it creates all sorts of fun niches. For example, if you like hot rods, you can dive deep into the world of rat rods or just focus on cars with a more traditional look. In some cases the myriad styles don't mix very well, of course, and the folks at Roadkill are proving that on video by attempting to take a lowrider Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on dirt. As you might expect, forcing a lowrider off-road doesn't go well, but the stunt makes for a great chronicle of dumb, automotive fun. Other than some repairs to get the Monte Carlo roadworthy, the only modification here is a set of knobby tires to achieve at least a modicum of traction on the loose rocks. Although, no matter what they do, at the even lowest speeds the hosts inside are still bounced around like they're in an inflatable castle at a kid's birthday party. Still, the guys are clearly amused by it all.

Car owners getting more irritated with their repair experiences, study says

The J.D. Power U.S. Customer Service Index Study (CSI) is a barometer of a vehicle owner's happiness with the service experience. While it wasn't all bad in the 2023 study, the overall owner satisfaction score dropped. This year's tally of 846 out of 1,000 is two points down from 2022, the 43-year-old study's first decline in more than 28 years, and one point down from 2021. However, the overall score remains well up from the pre-pandemic scores of 821 in 2018 and 837 in 2020. The study claims the stumbling block is the horde of BEV launches. The flood into the new energy space has created a recall rate among EVs that's more than double the rate for ICE vehicles. Furthermore, dealership service department knowledge of EVs isn't on par with internal combustion engine expertise, leaving EV owners less satisfied with service advisors compared to ICE owners. Chris Sutton, VP of automotive retail at J.D. Power, said, "As training programs for service advisors and technicians evolve, EV service quality and customer experience must address both the vehicle and the unique customer needs. The EV segment has the potential to spur massive convenience improvements in how customers service their vehicles — but weÂ’re not seeing the benefits yet." Matters are slightly worse for all owners, though, with labor and parts shortages contributing to longer wait times for service appointments. The CSI study surveys owners and lessees of one- to three-year-old vehicles to gauge their happiness with service at franchised dealer or aftermarket service facilities for maintenance or repair work. The criteria in order of importance are service quality (32%); service advisor (19%); vehicle pick-up (19%); service facility (15%); and service initiation (15%). Lexus retains the top spot for luxury brands, giving it three wins in four years. The Japanese automaker won in 2020 as well, its run interrupted by Porsche in 2021. Cadillac, Infiniti and Acura complete the luxury top 5.  For mass-market cars, Mitsubishi wins again after a victory in 2021 and falling to fourth last year. It's followed by Mazda, Buick, Subaru and Mini.  Considering the different service needs and service experience of different body styles, the study has broken results out by segment for the first time. Lexus earned a second victory thanks to winning the premium SUV segment, and Mitsubishi earned a second victory by winning the mass-market SUV/minivan category.
