This a solid Monte Carlo SS. The car has 150,000 miles. The original color is silver. Straight body with only a coupled minor flaws. ( right rocker needs repair and a very small hole as seen in picts. New rocker included with car. ) Maroon interior in good condition for the age of the vehicle. Of course the dash is cracked.  The center console door hinge is broken. No stereo in the car at this time. I purchased the car a few weeks back. The car had a bad engine in it and I replaced it with a 35000 mile 305 High Output and 200R4 trans from a 1988 Monte Carlo SS. Solid exhaust system, floor boards and frame. The car runs and drives surprisingly well with practically new tires. The car has all the A/C parts and should work with a new dryer, filter, and resealing all connections. The a/c controls don't seem to move the air flow from defrost to floor. I'm going to try to fix that problem before the sale/auction ends. The power windows work but are a little slow. I have ordered new window and door seals from soft seal and will install them when they arrive. I just replaced the driver door hinge bushings and pins and it closes properly. The hood does have a small dent at the front near the header panel that can be repaired. The front bumper does have a small place that looks as if it someone started to repair it.  Please remember I have not had the vehicle long and I have tried to describe it as best as I can. I would like to see the car go to someone who wants to finish the car with paint, stripes, and other things to make her nice again. Just call or email me with any questions before bidding. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. A 500.00 Deposit through Pay Pal is required with in 24 hours of auction end.

Ford Police Interceptors dominate Michigan State Police testing

Tue, Nov 1 2016

Once again, Ford Motor Company builds the fastest police vehicles. The Blue Oval touted the news in an official release following Michigan State Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department testing. Ford did very well. Except for one acceleration metric – zero to 10 miles per hour – the Blue Oval's Taurus and Explorer-based cop cars were the quickest, with particular praise coming for the EcoBoost-powered models, which bested Chevrolet and Dodge's V8-powered variants. Dearborn's products also posted the fastest average times around MSP's vehicle dynamics course. But it wasn't all positive for Ford. The only four-cylinder in the contest, the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost Ford SSP Sedan, had both the lowest top speed, 120 mph, and the slowest acceleration figures. It was also the slowest in track testing. Ford's products also failed to match the braking and top speeds of its rivals from Detroit and Auburn Hills – the rear-drive Charger Pursuit posted the best braking stats of the entire test, while the V8-powered Chevrolet Caprice hit the highest top speed, at 155 mph. Ford did score a top speed award, among SUVs, but at 132 mph, the naturally aspirated Police Interceptor Utility had to share its award with the equally fast, rear-drive Chevrolet Tahoe. The LA County Sheriff's timing isn't publicly available, but according to Ford, the EcoBoost-powered police cars put on a similarly impressive show for cops on the West Coast. We've assembled a spreadsheet on Google Docs that offers an easy to browse comparison of the different stats assembled by the Michigan State Police, and divided the vehicles between standard V6-powered sedans, high-performance sedans (EcoBoost and V8 models), and SUVs. GM to build outgoing Silverado and Sierra until late 2019

Tue, Nov 6 2018

As it has done with previous generations, General Motors is keeping the outgoing versions of its 1500 pickups in production despite the arrival of the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and 2019 GMC Sierra. The production of the previous, K2 generation models will begin to be wound down gradually, according to Automotive News, starting with crew cabs "early next year," and double and regular cab models following during "the early second half of next year." The old model trucks will continue to be built into "late 2019" based on market demand, GM's spokesperson Kim Carpenter said. The Chevrolet will go by the name Silverado LD, with the GMC Sierra designation still to be announced. Some of the outgoing models are built by sharing the assembly work between two GM plants. Partially finished Silverado and Sierra double cab bodies are shipped from Fort Wayne, Ind., to Oshawa, Ont., where the trucks are completed, including receiving paint. This eases the workload in Fort Wayne, where production of the new T1 generation trucks started in July 2018. In January, the Silao plant in Mexico will take on the duties of building new generation regular cab and crew cab trucks. Carpenter also said that the "Oshawa shuttle," as the shared production is called, has been very successful. As a result, 60,000 more trucks will be built than what the original production forecast initially called for. GM's latest quarterly profits, disclosed last week to be $1 billion, have been far higher than expected and will result in full-year profits far higher than what had been predicted in light of steel tariffs. GM isn't the only truck maker taking a similar multi-generation approach for 2019. Both the outgoing and redesigned Ram 1500 are in production, with the previous generation being dubbed Ram 1500 Classic. Related Video:

Chevy Volt beats Nissan Leaf again in February

Tue, Mar 1 2016

For Chevy, February was a good month for Volt sales. They were up 62.5 percent compared to 2015, as the company locked in 1,126 sales. No one should be surprised, since buyers have a new generation Volt to look at on the lot this year. It was introduced late last year in just 11 states, with the nationwide roll-out not happening until this spring. Nonetheless, GM put the new Volt on sale in the states where it sold the most first-gen Volts, so the sales increase was totally expected. Year-to-date, Volt sales are up 71.8 percent: 2,122 for 2016 vs. 1,235 for January and February of 2015. Over in the Nissan lot, things look pretty much the same. By that I mean both the numbers (steadily down, recently) as well as the car itself. We've had numerous hints about a new Leaf, but nothing confirmed, and that means that fewer and fewer people are interested in the aging first-gen model. By the numbers, Nissan sold 930 Leaf EVs in the US last month, down 22.4 percent from the 1,198 it sold in February 2015. For the first two months of the year, Leaf sales are down 25.7 percent: 1,685 in 2016 compared to 2,268 in 2015. As always, we follow up our flash sales report for the Volt and Leaf with a more in-depth look at all the green cars sold in the US last month. Look for that soon, and discuss the latest numbers – which are a lot like the not-as-late numbers – in the Comments. Related Video: Green Chevrolet Nissan Electric Hybrid ev sales hybrid sales
