This is a real nice 1970 Chevy Impala Sport Coupe. The Sport Coupe has a more sloped rear window than the 2 door sedan. I have never seen another one for sale.

I have had this car about 3 years and have replaced the following to make it ultra reliable;

* All new braking system, master cylinder, brake lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, springs, etc.
* New Edelbrock 4bbl carb and intake. The intake was painted Chevy Orange and the Original Style air cleaner was retained to keep it looking stock
* While the intake was off the lifters and gaskets were all replaced.
*All new belts and hoses
*All new shocks and rear springs, an alignment was done and any needed front end parts were replaced
* New electronic ignition system was added for increased reliability and power.
*New duel exhaust system from the manifolds back. I kept original manifolds because I dont like headers.
*New Carpet, with Hush Mat insulation and a new stereo that fits in the stock location.
We replaced ALL THE FLUIDS, rear, brake, power steering, coolant, trans etc.
New trunk mat and a restored original bumper jack.
I have a owners manual, sales brochure, vin number decoder, some original ads on CD, and even an original plastic model kit never used for the car.
I do not know what the exact millage is I have only had it 3 years.. Odometer reads 55,000 judging by the condition that could be right.

I know I am forgetting things that have been replaced. All the work was done professionally at Man Made Legends in Mooresville NC. Look them up on Face Book.

This is not a restored show car.The car is a great honest  unmolested car. It does have some scratches, bumps, dings it is 43 year old!
I drive the car at least 3 times a month and have recently taken it on a 200 mile trip. It has never let me down. I would drive it across the country.

If you are expecting a brand new car move on. If you have negative  or < 10 feed back contact me or your bid will be cancelled.Nonrefundable  $200 deposit due by Pay Pal within 24 hours.
Balance due by Cashiers Check in 3 days or you will lose your deposit. DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE CASH IN HAND AND UNLESS YOUR WIFE WILL LET YOU BUY IT!!!!

2020 Ford Explorer vs 3-row crossover rivals: How they compare on paper

Thu, Jan 10 2019

The 2020 Ford Explorer has finally landed, and if history serves as an indicator, it should be bigger than sliced bread. And people sure love themselves some sliced bread. This new Explorer may look familiar on the outside, but beneath the skin is a radically new rear-drive platform related to the Ford Mustang (as opposed to a front-drive platform related to the Ford Taurus and a Volvo from the 1990s). Turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines now exclusively rest under its hood, which as you'll see below, both better anything its competitors offer. Ah, but if you're curious to know how the new 2020 Explorer compares to its various three-row family crossover rivals, take a look at the chart below where we stack it up against the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, 2019 Honda Pilot, 2020 Hyundai Palisade, 2019 Subaru Ascent and 2019 Toyota Highlander. There are others of course (Mazda CX-9, Dodge Durango, GMC Acadia, VW Atlas), but we only had so much room on the chart, and these were the newest and/or most likely to be cross-shopped with the new Explorer. Engine specs and towing Although the Traverse's V6 just nips it on horsepower, the 2020 Explorer's base 2.3-liter "EcoBoost" turbocharged four-cylinder engine smokes it on torque. Therefore, "best-in-class" power seems like a fair claim from Ford. That there's also a 365-horsepower turbo V6 available, plus a hybrid and even-more powerful ST model on the way shows that Ford isn't kidding around under the hood. Curb weight also seems competitive for the segment. In terms of drivetrain, the Explorer is the only member of this particular group to come standard with rear-wheel drive (2.3-liter only). The Durango is the only other three-row, non-luxury crossover to do so. This is significant for two reasons: First, you could potentially do a power slide in an Explorer. Second, and more important, those in the Snowbelt will have to opt for all-wheel drive (it comes standard with the 3.0-liter). By contrast, a set of winter tires will probably do the job just fine if you want to save some money and gas by sticking with its rivals' standard front-wheel drive. Well, except for the Subaru Ascent — that's standard with AWD. In terms of towing, the Explorer takes the cake with as much as 5,300 pounds for the four-cylinder and 5,600 pounds for the V6. Everything else tops out at 5,000, though again, the Durango is capable of besting them all thanks to its Hemi V8 engine option.

2016 Chevy Volt wins Green Car of the Year

Thu, Nov 19 2015

The award ceremony for the 2016 Green Car Of The Year announcement at the LA Auto Show today started with a joke video by juror Jay Leno. Showing of a restored and refurbished 100-year-old Detroit Electric EV, Leno said that while there were a lot of different powertrains in the running this year, he didn't expect any German diesels to win. Yuk yuk. There was no doubt that Leno was right; there were no diesels in the finalist's circle. The winner this year was the new, second-generation Chevy Volt, a plug-in hybrid with a 53-mile electric range and 106 MPGe. The first-gen car won the title five years ago, making the Volt the first model to be crowned Green Car Of The Yera more than once. The other finalists this year were the Audi A3 E-Tron, the new Toyota Prius, the Hyundai Sonata, and the Honda Civic. One of Green Car Journal's most important factors in deciding the winner is widespread availability, said Green Car Journal editor Ron Cogan as he announced the award. Qualifying vehicles also have to be on sale by January 1st of the award year (in this case, 2016). For the record, AutoblogGreen readers also picked the Volt to win in our poll a few months ago with 42 percent of the vote. Second place was the Prius, with 21 percent. Earlier this year, Green Car Journal had to strip the awards from two diesel vehicles, the 2009 VW Jetta TDI, which won in 2008, and the 2010 Audi A3 TDI, the 2010 winner. We enjoyed our seat time in the new Volt, and you can read our review here. Related Video:
