You are bidding on our 1964 Chevy Impala 4-door hard top. This does NOT have the window side posts and is what people who know their Impalas would call the 'Gangster Ride'.

The interior seat covers are rough but I am pretty sure the original green seats are fine, the black seat covers just need replaced. The headliner is the 'air conditioning' headliner and it is in great condition (I think it has a small puncture hole of some sort in the back but it is GOOD!) The carpets could be replaced but they are not in bad shape.

There are some issues but it would be a great fixer up. It does run but needs an exhaust.

The trunk has a red liner in it right now, so that is all that is showing in the pictures. The hinges were messed up at one time and one of the previous owners attempted to turn it into a suicidal trunk but it was never finished.

We did have all working lights until after this (hopefully I can say) passed winter, our business neighbor's plow driver plowed a ton of snow behind it causing all but 2 of the back taillights to get broken.

It is a great rat rod project or would make a cool daily driver. We baught it at the Rebel Run Rod & Custom Nationals show in 2012 and drove it around until the beginning of last fall. We put it up to do some work on it over the winter but we just have too many projects going on right now and don't have the time to put the work into it.

I was going to use this as a parts car for my 2-door but it was just too nice of a car to destroy like that. (And we have a 6-year-old that is probably going to be really mad at us when this car sells).

PLEASE COME LOOK AT THIS VEHICLE BEFORE YOU BID. I understand that some of you checking out this auction are far away and may be having it shipped to you but this car is being sold AS IS and it is a fixer uper! The last time we sold a truck on here, the guy never came and checked it out and caused me many tears over a truck that I LOVED! That I would NOT have parted with except we were getting a new building and needed money to do so. Because of this, I can not stress enough AS IS so PLEASE come check it out before you place a bid. IT DOES NEED WORK AND IT HAS SOME ISSUES but it is WORTH the investment!!

The basic book of this car (in a #5 condition - which means something along the lines of it runs and that is it...it is probably closer to a #4...maybe even a #3 with the condition it is in, but will have to be the buyer's own judgement) is $4200 and that is not including the a/c extra % or any of the other %'s increasing the value. We just left our book with someone right now but there are (I believe) 2 - 15% more qualifiers for this car that the car has.

If you have any questions, please just let us know. I know there are several more pictures we could have taken, we just forgot. If I can add more in the near future, I will try and do so but at this point, our body shop is running full speed ahead (income tax time always gets like that) and I don't know if I will have the time, but I will try.

Payment/pickup is expected within a week of the end of this listing. If you can't make it, just let us know before hand so we can make arrangements. The vehicle can be picked up upon a clear payment...or bring cash with you when you come. We can accept Visa/MasterCard but it is a 10% charge to do so. We prefer cash, certified check or money order, or PayPal.

If I have forgotten something, please let me know. I am only human. AND AGAIN IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST!! If you would like to call us, please call or text 419-296-7937 I have a problem with my microphone and have had several complaints from people on the phone not being able to hear me so if you would like to actually speak to someone, you may want to try our land line at 567-712-2285 (you can not text this number...it's a 'house phone').

Thanks for checking out our Impala. Happy Bidding!!

GM, Pilot will build EVgo fast chargers at 500 truck stops across U.S.

Thu, Jul 14 2022

All of our maps showing electric vehicle charging stations across the U.S. are going to need an update. Today, General Motors, Pilot and EVgo announced plans to work together on a nationwide DC fast charging network. The plan calls for 2,000 charging stalls that can deliver up to 350 kW to be installed at up to 500 Pilot and Flying J travel centers in the U.S. The goal is to have DC fast chargers available in 50-mile intervals across the country. The new charging stations will feature GM's "Ultium Charge 360" branding and "Pilot Flying J" logos but will not be limited to drivers of GM EVs. The plugs will use CCS connectors and be available to anyone. GM EV owners can take advantage of benefits, including the ability to make exclusive reservations, get discounts on charging costs and streamline the charging process with Plug and Charge and in-vehicle apps that can provide real-time charger availability. The first installation phase will take place in 2023, and "the bulk of the installations" should be completed by 2025, EVgo CEO Kathy Zoi said during a conference call with reporters announcing the plan. "We're gonna get going immediately and commence all of that engineering and planning stuff," she said. "We've got a pretty orderly plan." Pilot CEO Shameek Konar said the company expects the new EV charging stations to coexist with the current fuel infrastructure. "An average Pilot Flying J location is about 10 acres," Konar said. "This will be in addition to all of our gas pumps. The way I think about it is, this is a new source of energy that is going to coexist with gas for quite some time. We can debate how long, but we need to serve both groups of customers." Installing DC fast chargers at hundreds of Pilot's travel centers — aka truck stops — means there should be food, drinks, restrooms, WiFi and even showers available while you wait for an EV to charge. Pilot recently announced its “New Horizons” plan that will invest $1 billion in upgrading Pilot travel centers with more premium amenities, including expanded seating and lounge areas. While the exact amount of time it will take to charge an EV using these new stations will vary on the EV and its current state of charge, most EVs can refill from a low state of charge to around 80 percent in 20-30 minutes on a fast charger. The new stations are future-proofed to deliver up to 350 kW, a charge rate that few EVs today can handle.

Electric Cadillac Lyriq, Chevy Bolt EUV and more GM electric cars are on the way

Wed, Mar 4 2020

GM’s murky and somewhat secretive electric car plan is falling into place, as the company dumped a massive amount of information about whatÂ’s in the pipeline at an event at its Warren, Michigan campus today. New EVs are going to be popping up across the GM brand lineup, with new entries from Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick in progress. We also learned some big news about GMÂ’s new Ultium battery tech today, but check out this story for all of those nitty-gritty details. The electric vehicle onslaught will begin with the Cadillac Lyriq, an electric SUV thatÂ’s already been teased out. Naming it the Lyriq is the news today. No explanation for the name was provided, so weÂ’ll have to wait for April to learn more. GM didnÂ’t specifically say if the Lyriq would be launched at the NY Auto Show, but that show (assuming coronavirus doesnÂ’t cancel it) will begin on April 8 this year. Next up in the order of events is the GMC Hummer electric truck that we know will be launching on May 20. This truck will use GMÂ’s modular Ultium battery technology. However, the wait to buy a GMC Hummer will be a long one, as the truck isnÂ’t going to dive into production until fall 2021 at GMÂ’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant. GM revealed that its new modular Ultium batteries can be configured anywhere from a 50 kWh pack to a 200 kWh pack depending on the application. Range is estimated to be about 400 miles on the upper end with the largest battery pack, and GM continues to boast about a 0-60 mph acceleration time of three seconds. Charging estimates for the Ultium battery-equipped Hummer EV were also provided. GM says its truck platform will have 800-volt battery packs and be capable of 350 kW fast-charging. Time estimates werenÂ’t given, but those numbers suggest the truck will be a rapid charger. The Hummer truck on hand, which was the same that previously starred in GMC's Super Bowl spot, showed off removable roof panels that store in the frunk, as well as what appeared to be a version of GMC's Multi-Pro tailgate. It also featured sail panels on the sides, similar to those in front of the bed of the Chevy Avalanche. In addition to the Hummer, expect to see a couple Chevys launching. GM says the refreshed Bolt EV will be launched “in late 2020” with a refreshed interior and what appear to be thicker front seats.

Car and Driver reveals spy shots of mid-engine 2017 Corvette

Thu, Jan 8 2015

Some news in the car world is perennial, and some is perennially wrong. Typically news about some upcoming mid-engined Chevy Corvette has fallen into the latter category, with rumors never yet generating a road car. This time could very well be different. Car and Driver has some exclusive photographs of what would appear to be a Corvette test mule with a mid-mounted engine. The car in question might look like a Holden SSV ute that's undergone some indelicate modification, but C/D editor Don Sherman assures that the bones of a C8 'Vette live within that crude bodywork. Sherman points to the closeness of the cabin to the front axle as clue number one of this car's mid-engine attitude, as well as the powertrain-sized space between the back of the seats and the rear axle. The roof and glasshouse are all clearly plucked from the current C7, and the gas tank filler positioned on the B-pillar is another huge clue. The buff book estimates that the mule points to a timeline for sale, even. Testing on this level could mean a mid-engined C8 ready for sale in as few as 20 months, or for the 2017 model year. Click over to Car and Driver to have a close look at this important set of spy photographs, as well as a rendering of what a finished C8 might ultimately look like
