1963 Impala Ss Convertible Project on 2040-cars
Toms River, New Jersey, United States
Here is a 1963 chevrolet Impala Convertible SS Im selling for a friend who is older and does not deal with computers .
It has the Z02 and Z03 SS bucket seats and console in the trim plate ,making this a true SS . Condidtion im sorry to say is not the best . It will require bumper to bumper restoration . The body has had work done in the past and was even painted Black when the SS was a Red/Burgundy color . Some time after that while in the last owners possession he sent it out to have metal restoration work done . The lower quaters , floor pans and some of the trunk where repaired but im sorry to say its not up to todays standards Please view photos for details !! Now it is fixable and you can make it look alot better with out spending a ton of money and make a driver out of it if your handy with metal work . If it was me re-doing this car i would put quarters and a full floor pan a decent body and paint job and go over it mechanically and make it a driver . It was sitting for some time pretty much a barn find , so the intererior has the white stains The top is old and needs to be replaced . I did get the chance to drive the car and it drove like an old car thats needs a few things but never the less it runs decent . The tires are only a year old . Motor ( i was told its a 283 ) is running a bit rich , and the trany has a leak . I did notice that the battery keeps draining im not sure yet why . When it sits for a few days its dead . Long story short a few days in your garage and you could drive it once you have gone through all the normal Mechanicals ie brakes , carb , fluids lines and hoses ect . So pretty much it you wanted a cheap 63 SS convertible here it is . It has Power steering and brakes and top (Top needs servicing ) Depsoit of 500.00 at auctions end ( this provides me your a ligit bidder .) Then we will hash out your final payment options to be no later then 4 business days unless your paying on pick up . No Zero Bidders unless you contact me . Zero Bidders will be removed ! Shipping is the buyers responsibility i can be present for pick up . |

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
GM's Reuss predicts 2016 Chevy Camaro will outperform Ford Mustang in every way
Tue, Apr 7 2015We aren't going to be seeing the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro until next month. But even though we know when we're going to see the new muscle car, it's totally unclear whether Chevy will dole out technical details. That means we can't answer the latest version of the age-old question: Camaro or Ford Mustang? Not surprisingly, General Motors North America President Mark Reuss has already stated his position, saying he was "very confident" that the sixth-generation Camaro will be faster, more agile and more efficient than the Ford. Reuss made his comments after saying he drove the new Camaro back-to-back with the Mustang the week prior. Reuss' statement came in a conversation with Fox News about the 2016 Camaro where he elaborated on the car's weight shedding and how it fit into GM's strategy on other new models. "There are some really cool things in the Camaro, that are quite different than the Malibu, [and] CT6," Reuss told Fox. As we reported previously, the Camaro will shed some 200 pounds by switching to aluminum and other lightweight composites for some of its components. With May 16 just over a month away, here's hoping Reuss decides to loose some other details on the next Camaro ahead of its debut. Related Video:
Seeing the Detroit Auto Show via drone
Sun, Jan 18 2015Seeing the Chevrolet display at the Detroit Auto Show is worth doing this year, and not just because of the new Corvette Z06, Volt and Bolt concept. In order to attract the new kids, The Bowtie has gone what the old kids used to call "buck wild" with their show stand at Cobo Hall. A Corvette Z06, Trax, and Colorado are parked along a central aisle, called Mainstreet, at the end of which is a 20-foot-tall, 73-foot long transparent screen lording over the new Volt. Elsewhere are five more 20-foot-tall screens broadcasting nine stories today's Chevrolet wants to tell about its vehicles, from performance to belief in the power of play to its 4G LTE-equipped OnStar telematics service. Then there are the social media and virtual reality safety installations, the community presentations and more. Chevrolet flew a drone through the stand to show off what it's doing, which is has replaced eye-level video as the next best thing to being there. You can check it out in the video above.
