Up for bid is a 1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport. It has a 327 V8 engine with an automatic transmission. It has power steering. This is a rust free Arizona car that just went through a complete body-off restoration in late 2009 and was finished in 2010. The previous owner owned the vehicle for the last 35 years. He unfortunately passed away in November 2012. You will look long and hard to find a cleaner Super Sport Impala. It runs and drives like a Cadillac.

The following items on this car have been re-done during that restoration:
Rebuilt engine
Rebuilt transmission
New power-steering
New control valve
Car was painted in its original Arctic White color
Interior has been all gone through and re-upholstered
The headliner looks OK but could use some work
The rear-end has all been gone through
Re-chromed bumpers
All-new rubbers and grommets
New wiring harness
New fuse box
New brakes and lines
New blinker switch
New radio
New wiper and washer motor
New light switch
New exhaust
New radiator
New carb kit
New shocks
New ball joints
New tire rods
New u-joints
Frame was powder-coated black
Underside of the car was rustproofed

As you can see in the pictures, this car is very clean. If you look close around the engine department, you will see the underside of the fenders. They are spotless. Doors are spotless, door jams are spotless. The trunk is spotless. This car retains all of its original sheet metal.

As you can see for being an Arizona car, this car was well loved and well taken care of. Any other questions that you have feel free to contact me. The reserve on this car is set very reasonably. I just would like someone to take good care of this vehicle and have fun with it.

P.S. this car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.

Take care, and thanks for looking!

2016 Chevy Camaro leaked on CNBC

Fri, May 15 2015

It seemed inevitable. Eventually some outlet would get access to fully uncovered pictures of the sixth-generation 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and let them loose early. Embargoes break. All. The. Time. And for this round, credit goes to CNBC's Squawk Box. The program, according to the GM Inside News forums, had been talking about the new Camaro "all morning," when it dropped a trio of images of the new muscle car. Consider this, then, our first full look at the 2016 Camaro, a car we detailed extensively earlier this morning. In general, the leaked images confirm much of what we discussed in that post regarding the car's looks – an evolved style, with a slim grille up front, a rounded tail, and a very short rear deck. Check out the leaked images, give our Camaro round-up a read, and strap in for tomorrow's big Camaro reveal.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.

This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome

Fri, Dec 5 2014

The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first.
