This is what we call the good, the bad & the ugly! It's a 2000 Chevy van loaded w/ith four leather captain seats w/ lumbar, power everything, 80% tread on tires. It's in good mechanical shape w/ a newly rebuilt engine with less than 20,000 miles. It blew a piston at 92,000 miles and had to be rebuilt from the bottom up. The exterior is good although it has some issues. Originally purchased as a full top of the line conversion van by Explorer. It had all the low flaring trim all around it but was removed as it was just plastic & wears out after so many years. You will see all the rivet holes around the lower body frame although they are very small. The rear bumper has been backed into & it shows. However, I have had this looked at & the brackets are not bent so it can be unbolted & another one bolted on for under $300.00. There are some minor scratches, dings associated w/ it's age but nothing outside of normal.
The interior is clean but front drivers seat shows the most wear on the leather. The wood trim in the back has faded from, I believe, heat as it has spent most of it's life in Florida. Overall it's in very good condition w/ a rear sofa that automatically folds down to a flat bed. All window treatments are in perfect shape. That's a basic description & the pictures will show most of that.
I'll tell you what the van is & isn't in my honest opinion. This is good solid transportation for a church group, volunteer organization such as meals on wheels, or a large family with several children. It can accommodate six passengers at once w/ a driver. I have driven it up north on several trips & would have no concerns. It needs some TLC but mostly cosmetic. It's a nice ride for long trips & has the ability to let you stretch out in back if so desired. What it's not anymore is a state of the art, top of the line, luxury cruiser. It is 12 yrs old & shows some but still has a lot of life left especially mechanically if someone wishes to give it that little attention it needs.
With that said, this is going NO RESERVE to whoever bids the highest. N.A.D.A book value is around $4,000 without the conversion!! You are welcome to come take a look w/ a scheduled appt. Please contact through email to set that up. I do have it for sale locally so I am reserving the right to pull the ad if it sells during this auction. I would love to see someone get this inexpensively & do some good for their community. Happy bidding & good luck to all!!

2015 Chevrolet Silverado Custom glitzes up volume model [UPDATE]
Thu, Feb 12 2015UPDATE: The original prices listed in Chevrolet's press release did include destination charging, despite not being specifically called out as such. We've edited the story to reflect this. The Chicago Auto Show's reputation as the home of special edition debuts grows stronger today, as Chevrolet is complementing the news that it'd unveil the Silverado Midnight Edtion and Colorado GearOn special editions in the Windy City with the debut of the Silverado Custom. And yes, it's different than the higher-spec Custom Sport that debuted just last month in Detroit. What's so custom about the Silverado Custom, you ask? Well, not a whole lot. The new truck is based on the popular Silverado LS Double Cab, and adds, among its most noteworthy features, a set of 20-inch, five-spoke wheels. From there, chrome is the order of the day, with shinier front and rear bumpers, mirror caps and door handles. The top portion of the front bumper, which is finished in black plastic on the standard LS, is matched to the body color on the Custom model. Standard LS interior features, like the 4.2-inch MyLink system with 4G LTE wireless internet, 40/20/40 cloth front seats, remain in place on the Custom, while it's a similar story with the powertrain. Choices below the sheetmetal will force buyers to choose between a 5.3-liter V8 or a standard 4.3-liter V6, and two- or four-wheel drive. Chevy is pricing a V8-equipped Silverado Custom 4x2 at $33,820 (including $1,195 in destination charges). Adding four-wheel drive brings the price up at $37,800, although as we said, selecting the 4.3-liter V6 will yield a more affordable Custom. Check out the full press release on the newest member of the Silverado clan, available below. 2015 Silverado Custom: Back to Basics, with Style $33,820 starting price for a well-equipped double-cab V-8 CHICAGO – Chevrolet takes aim at the heart of the pickup market with the Silverado Custom, which offers Chevy Truck capability and dependability in a stylish package, priced within reach of many truck customers. "The economic recovery has led to booming sales of high-end pickups like the Silverado High Country," said Sandor Piszar, marketing director for Chevy Trucks. "But there are also millions of customers in the heart of the market who want a great looking, well-equipped truck at an affordable price.

2016 Chevrolet Camaro: Everything we know so far [UPDATE]
Fri, May 15 2015UPDATE: We fully expect the floodgates to open as facts and photos leak throughout the day. Watch this space for more information as it breaks, including these leaked photos, and some new powertrain speculation. Chevrolet has made a grand production of teasing the all-new, sixth-generation Camaro. That slow trickle will become a deluge this weekend, when the 2016 model hits the stage on Detroit's Belle Isle as part of an all-day Camaro-palooza. Considering you're likely to hear plenty about the next-gen muscle car in the next couple days, we figured now is the perfect time to sort out all the facts and rumors we've heard about the next-generation coupe that's coming this weekend. Here's everything we know about Camaro Six. What Will It Look Like? Arguably the easiest Camaro question to answer after all the teasers and spy shots, General Motors' design team favored evolving the current car's retro design language while retaining the same basic shape. The long hood will carry on, joined by an even shorter, wing-topped rear deck, giving the 2016 an almost fastback-like look. The greenhouse is still slim, but lateral visibility may improve slightly owing to the larger quarter windows. We can only hope. The rear end looks to have been rounded, while Chevy's own teaser shows off larger, more prominent taillight housings than the simple rectangular lights on today's car. Expect quad-tipped exhausts to be offered on at least one version of the Camaro. Judging by the single teaser of the car's profile, the rear haunches will be larger and more chiseled. The muscular aluminum hood and its accompanying power bulge are more heavily styled than on today's car, although it looks largely similar in terms of size. It sits atop an even slimmer upper grille that's barely big enough for Chevy's Bowtie logo, with most of the visual mass moving to the gaping lower grille. One of the more tantalizing rumors surrounding the new Camaro focuses on its roof. As evidenced in a rather bizarre round of spy photos, it almost looks like Chevy is considering a removable panel, a la Corvette Stingray. T-tops are also a distinct (and more probable, we hope) possibility. The new shape will result in a more aerodynamic car, and Chevy claims the 2016 Camaro spent 350 hours in the wind tunnel. Overall lift has apparently been cut by 30 percent, thanks partially to a new, smooth underbody panel. Chevrolet has been far less forthcoming with information on the new Camaro's cabin.
