I am selling my 1968 El Camino SS.  It’s the best of both worlds – muscle car and truck!  This is for a restoration project. It’s solid body with minor rust on back of the window and it has dents. Here are the details: 1968 El Camino SS a true super sport for sale with true vin. number 138808.. This truck is a good for a restoration project. The roof seems to be in fair shape but vinyl may hide it. The truck has  a dead engine, and is NOT a macthing engine. My best guess is a small block dead engine. The transmission is there. The rear bumper has hole on is in a bad shape the but front its okay. The hood is in good shape. The body is in a good condition compare to other the others el camino's out there. Thats why I bought it. The truck has a dent on back trunck door. And door passeger side is damage it has a bad dent, but I do have another a clean door frame clean and prime to replace old door. Glass is fair windshield. Several moldings would be unuseable, others are dented/damaged. The plain dash it has small cracks on it, but need to be replace. The guage is looks good and vinly bench seat with shift auto column air conditionor and no air compresor pump. Its hard to discrible more details since I never drove it to see if working component works.

Petrolicious profiles one man and his duo of '64 Impalas

Wed, Jul 1 2015

Restoring any vintage car is a labor of love. In the end, the investment of time and money is often more than the vehicle is realistically worth on the open market. Deciding to take all of that work on yourself doesn't make things any easier, but it can only increase your connection to the project. Don Rogers, the subject of the latest video from Petrolicious, shows this passion perfectly with his duo of 1964 Chevrolet Impalas – a hardtop and convertible. Both of these Chevys had been sitting for years before Rogers got his talented hands on them, and he did all of the work himself. Now, driving the pair is therapy for him, and he's not worried about anything breaking because he knows he can put it back together. Rogers says he enjoys wrenching on his vehicles even more than going to shows. Doing your own work comes with advantages, like tailoring a project's look to your preferences. It's not original, but Rogers used the crimson interior color from a '59 Impala on his convertible to make the interior pop with the top down. Rogers is undoubtedly a talented builder, and his work is worth checking out in the latest from Petrolicious. Related Video:

Mysterious white powder discovered at GM Orion Assembly

Fri, Sep 2 2016

Workers at General Motors Orion Assembly Plant in Orion Township, MI uncovered a mysterious white powder in two different parts of the factory earlier this week, raising concerns about worker safety. "We can confirm that an unknown substance (white powder) was found on the floor outside of Gate 6 at Orion Assembly on Monday, August 29. On Tuesday, August 30, we had a second report of a bottle containing a similar substance found inside the plant," GM spokesperson Dayna Hart told The Oakland Press via email. GM stressed that incident didn't disrupt operations at the plant, and that the company was taking steps to ensure the safety of the sprawling factory's workers. That did include, an anonymous worker told The Oakland Press, closing off parts of the factory for two full days, as drug-sniffing dogs and crews in haz-mat suits descended on the area. "A sample of the substance has been sent to a laboratory for identification and results are expected later this week," Hart said. "All findings and actions have been shared with our employees." Orion Assembly currently builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, and will eventually be responsible for production of the new, all-electric Chevy Bolt early next year. Related Video:

Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy teases Bolt driving range, China pursues EV subsidy cheaters

Tue, Sep 13 2016

Chevy is teasing the Bolt's driving range, which it is set to reveal on Tuesday. It will certainly be able to travel more than 200 miles between charges, but the second and third digits in that value, as it stands today, are still question marks. On its Facebook page, Chevrolet is asking fans to try to guess the official range. Of course, Tesla fans have already started posting their own snide remarks in the comments. Chevy fans are certainly hoping to see the Bolt's range eclipse that of Tesla's upcoming Model 3, which the California-based automaker puts at 215 miles. See Chevy's post on Facebook to make your own guess, or check back there (or here at AutoblogGreen) for the official number once it is unveiled. Fuel cell company PowerCell Sweden says it has signed an agreement with a Chinese company to make range extenders for commercial trucks. The unnamed Chinese customer has placed an order and signed a memorandum of understanding with PowerCell Sweden, and the partners will develop methanol reformer fuel cell range extenders for electric distribution trucks. "Our unique expertise in fuel cells and reformer technology is receiving an increasing attention worldwide and we are truly pleased to get another Chinese order," says PowerCell Sweden Sales Director Andreas Boden. Read more at Green Car Congress, or from PowerCell. China is accusing major automakers of violating EV subsidy rules. After the country's Ministry of Finance penalized five companies with fines and, in one case, revocation of production license for subsidy cheats, China has since named 20 more potential violators, including Nissan, Hyundai, JAC, and a subsidiary of BYD. Of the first five companies to be punished under the investigation, Suzhou Gemsea Coach Manufacturing is having its production license revoked, while four others, including a subsidiary of Chery, are being fined for about half of the subsidies received. The scandal is bad new for China's subsidy program, which has helped spur sales of plug-in vehicles. Read more from Fortune, or at Hybrid Cars.
