1994 Corvette Lt1 Highly Modified on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
|
I purchased this corvette about 5 months ago. I've since suffered and illness that is forcing me to sell. Below is an excellent write up by the seller that I purchased the car from. All is accurate to my knowledge. The car really is a heck of a performer...hardest part is keeping the tires in contact with the pavement. Please review the write up (including the couple of minor defects I've noted at the bottom) and contact me if you have additional questions. 1994 CHEVROLET CORVETTE coupe 1994 Chevrolet Corvette SLP Coated Headers

is obviously a highly sought after car. Late model Hemi Chargers and
Challengers, accustomed to dusting off C4s with impunity, are in for a nasty
surprise when they line up next to this bad boy. With SLP cold air intake, SLP
headers, Corsa RSC exhaust and a shift kit, this Corvette has the low-end
torque everybody likes about an LT1 but has the powerful mid-range and top end
of an LS1. Superb condition inside and out, gorgeous Z06 wheels, Bose Gold

with the traction control off at 25-30 mph and this Corvette gets sideways;
throttle response is instant, the tach is immediately pegged and second gear
arrives with a strong chirp from both rear wheels. Beautiful paint, perfect
fiberglass and functional reliability make this Corvette as worry free as it is
thrilling . . . No accident history and tight panel fit are quality indicators
of careful ownership and regular maintenance and this Corvette stops as well as
it goes . . . ? Baer front calipers and EradiSpeed slotted/drilled rotors at
each corner provide world class stopping performance - not to mention a modern,
high-tech view through the wheels . . . You won't be buying tires any time soon.
The twin Pro-Series stainless quad tips are part of the $1,700 Corsa RSC
exhaust system. It means Reflective Sound Cancellation and has a crossover, two
long, straight-through front mufflers and two rear mufflers. 100% stainless
steel; with the shorty headers this combination is good for an easy
20-horspower and at least that much more torque. It's quiet when it should be
while delivering explosive performance with an all-business sound track . . .
Wide Nitto 285/40 rear rubber A comfortable ride and razor sharp handling are
due, in part, because of Edlebrock Performer shocks. Exterior appearance looks
like new because somebody has always loved and taken care of this Corvette . .
. A sparkling, low mileage '94 like this is a rare find among the ocean of forgettable
C4 Corvettes usually seen on the market. The air blows cold, the stereo sounds
awesome and it has the beans under the hood to run with the big dogs. Baer
brakes, Corsa RSC exhaust and shiny Z06 wheels, with a no hit, undamaged body,
pretty paint and a great interior; this very fast, good looking, low mileage
top condition 1994 Chevrolet Corvette is a top dollar car for a very specific
buyer . . . Dual power sport seats, leather, tilt, cruise, Bose Gold audio and
cold air conditioner. This car also has the optional blue tinted removable roof
panel . . . Great leather, carpeted floor mats and retractable luggage
compartment cover. 5.7 Liter SFI V8 Engine (LT1) 300 horsepower @ 5,000/340
ft-lb torque @ 3,600 RPM (stock) With the SLP intake, TPIS throttle body,
headers and Corsa RSC exhaust, I estimate this LT1 at around 330 horsepower,
maybe a bit more. -Foy With the shift kit, seat of the pants, it actually feels
like 350 or more . . . Undercarriage is new car dry and perfect . . . Amazing
how good a car can look when it is properly taken care of. Here's a better shot

Chevy to resume engine-building program for 2015 Corvette Z06
Thu, Jan 8 2015One of Chevrolet's most popular and unique customer features is set to return for 2015, as the company has announced that the Engine Build Experience is back. Interested owners will be able to screw together their engines beginning in March. The $5,000 option (which does not include the cost of travel) will give future owners of the 2015 Corvette Z06 the chance to screw together their car's actual 6.2-liter, supercharged V8. Available on each of the Z06's three trims, the Engine Build Experience includes a day at the Performance Build Center, instruction from an engine assembly tech, photographs of the experience and a personalized engine plaque. Once the build process is completed, the engine will (eventually) be fitted under the hood of the customer's personal Z06. "Chevrolet recognizes the passion customers have for Corvette and the Engine Build Experience offers them a truly unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in the creation of the heart of their new car," Corvette product manager Harlan Charles. "It's important for customers to understand their engine won't be installed the day after they built it. It will flow into the scheduling process for vehicle assembly, which depends on a number of logistical variables." Scroll down for the official announcement of the Z06's Engine Build Experience, available below. Exclusive Corvette Engine Build Experience Returns Program renewed for supercharged LT4 engine at new Bowling Green build center 2015-01-07 BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Chevrolet announced today it is resuming the exclusive Engine Build Experience for Corvette Z06 customers – the only program of its kind for supercar customers. Starting in March 2015, Corvette Z06 customers will be able to assemble the 650-hp supercharged LT4 engine for their cars at the new Performance Build Center inside the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. "Chevrolet recognizes the passion customers have for Corvette and the Engine Build Experience offers them a truly unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in the creation of the heart of their new car," said Harlan Charles, Corvette product manager. "It's a chance to bond with their new car." The Engine Build Experience is selected with order code PBC and is offered on all Z06 trim levels.
2016 Chevy Cruze is lighter, loaded [UPDATE]
Thu, Jun 25 2015UPDATE: Live photos and video of the reveal have been added at the end of the story. Chevrolet revealed the second-generation Cruze Wednesday, promising a larger, more efficient car that drives better than the sedan it replaces. We're particularly excited about the new turbocharged, 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 153 horsepower, an upgrade from the outgoing 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine's 138 hp. Torque climbs even more significantly, from 148 pound-feet to 177 in the new mill. Peak twist can be called up between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm, which should make performance easy to access. Combined with a lighter architecture that slashes the Cruze's curb weight by 250 pounds (although the actual curb weight hasn't been released), the new four-door can hit 60 miles per hour in a respectable eight seconds. That's not hot hatchback territory, but it should be more than suitable for the average consumer. That same consumer should also appreciate the new engine's economy. The Cruze now returns an even 40 miles per gallon on the highway and will cover 530 miles on a single tank, all the while running on plain old 87-octane fuel. There's also a diesel-powered Cruze model, although Chevy didn't release specific details, aside from saying that it will arrive in dealers in 2017, over a year after the gas-powered model's early 2016 on-sale date. Despite the 250-pound drop in weight, the new Cruze has grown significantly. Its wheelbase is now the longest in the segment, with 106.3 inches of sheetmetal between the front and rear axles compared to 105.7 in last year's model, while the sleek new body cuts the coefficient of drag to just 0.29. The overall length increases from 181 inches to 183.7, though the new model is nearly an inch lower overall. That's both good news and bad news for interior space. Rear legroom is up from 35.4 to 36.1, but headroom is down in both the front and backseats by over half an inch. Tech fans, meanwhile, will appreciate the new standard MyLink display. The seven-inch touchscreen is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while an optional eight-inch display will be offered, as well. 4G LTE wi-fi, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and wireless phone charging will also be offered as an optional extras. New safety features include blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, and forward collision warning.
