CLEAN TITLE! I have owned this car since May of 2011 and have driven it almost daily from April-October, and kept it stored the rest of the year. The car starts right up everytime, runs great, drives and handles great, and is a real head-turner. There are some issues that make it not perfect that I will go into detail about, but this cars has been extremely fun and reliable for the entire time I have owned it. You can't drive this car without getting compliments.

Things you should know:

The car needs new brakes in the rear, and they squeak while driving it at this point. That said the car still handles and stops just fine.

The weather stripping shows its age. I have purchased 2 kits to replace most of it that I am including. The car will not leak in rain, but if you take it through a car wash there are some spots that drip.

The hood pull broke last year. I attached 2 Stainless Steel lanyards under the hood to manually open it. It can be fixed by running a new wire, or splicing and re-attaching whats left of the original.

The AC/Climate control all worked fine until last year. Last year the display went blank while it was deforsting, and the car was left with the defroster running. I pulled the wiring from the blower to stop it from running. A new display would likely fix the problem, but you be the judge.

I have smoked in the car, but to me it does not smell "Smokey".

There are some scratches low on the front passenger side fender that are hardly noticeable, and a scuff of rubbery substance on the rear driver side fender that should scrape or buff off, again you can hardly notice either or these blemishes because of where they are positioned. There are a couple chips on the passenger side door that do not take away from the look of the car.

The driver seat has tearing and is in rough condition (the car has been driven!) The carpet on the driver side is worn, and worn through in spots.

The carpet in the hatchback section is in good shape and complete, but has come unattached at the back of the car, another easy fix I just don't have time for right now.

There are some cracks and loose screws in the plastic trim in the rear interior of the car.

Honestly a few of these things would probably not even be mentioned by many sellers, but I don't want to miss out on any detail. I have tried to take pictures that illustrate everything I have just mentioned.

The electronic fuel gauge seems to work fine at times, and be off at times, be aware of your gas millage.

It is probably due for a general tune up.

The Positives:

Clean Title.

A car that starts right up, has been driven daily without incident, and runs and drives great!

Very fast (300HP/330lbs Torque) and handles like a champ!

New battery last year, New alternator this year, K+N air filter last year!

The tires have less than 10K miles on them, look new, and hold air through the winter.

EVERYTHING IN THIS CAR IS ORIGINAL AS FAR AS I KNOW, (aside from the alternator + battery).

The car was repainted RUBY RED just before I bought it, and is very shiny and sharp.

This car turns heads.

The interior aside from the driver side seat and floor is pretty nice. Clean dash with no cracks, overall good condition with the carpeting.

I mentioned a lot of things to be picky above, but in reality they are all things that have never stopped me from enjoying this car.

Includes the original owners manual, and a copy of the original window sticker if you want it.

I believe I am the 3rd owner.

This car is hard for me to let go, and the pictures tell the story.

2016 Chevy SS gets new face, clears throat

Wed, Sep 16 2015

Chevy is tweaking the SS once again for the 2016 model year. While the changes might be minor, muscle sedan enthusiasts shouldn't need any more excuse to love the Bowtie brand's performance sedan. The 2016 Chevy SS benefits from revised front-end styling that incorporates new vertical ducts designed to direct airflow over the front wheel wells. It also gets new LED lighting and new functional hood vents to make it look even more aggressive than the current model. Although the 6.2-liter V8 carries over unchanged from the existing version – churning out 415 horsepower and an equal amount of torque – a new dual-mode exhaust promises to be both quieter at lower speeds and angrier-sounding at higher revs. And of course you can still get it with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. In any event, it should also look the business with its new 19-inch alloys as well. Related Video: 2016 Chevrolet SS Designed for Performance DETROIT – Building on the performance-oriented updates made to the Chevrolet SS last year, the 2016 model features several exterior enhancements that reinforce its presence on the road. A revised front fascia features new, vertical ducts at the outer edges to direct airflow over the front wheel openings to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The fascia also incorporates new LED signature lighting, while new, functional hood vents and new-design 19-inch cast-aluminum wheels contribute to a stronger appearance for the rear-drive sports sedan. "The 2016 SS design changes more fully express the true driving character of the sedan while further enhancing the car's overall performance," said Todd Christensen, Chevrolet Performance Car marketing manager. What hasn't changed is the SS's unique blend of performance, comfort and spaciousness. It features a 6.2L V-8 engine under the hood and turns out an SAE-certified 415 horsepower (310 kW) and 415 lb-ft of torque (563 Nm), and offers a six-speed manual transmission or a paddle-shift six-speed automatic transmission. A new, dual-mode exhaust system for 2016 complements the V-8 engine with quieter performance at low engine speeds and a more muscular engine note at wide-open throttle.

GM drops price of Spark EV to $25,995; lease to $139/month

Tue, Apr 14 2015

The drive to lower EV prices continues. GM announced today that the base model 2015 Chevy Spark EV 1LT would get a price cut to $25,995. That's $1,500 less than it used to be but the bigger news might be the lowered lease price. Instead of $199 a month, all that Chevy is asking for to get you into an all-electric Spark now is $139 a month (39 months, with no money due at signing), down from the 36-month, $199-a-month lease cost with a $999 down payment. Sadly, the number of states where the Spark EV can be bought is almost as small as the lease payment: the car is available only in California, Oregon and Maryland (well, Maryland won't be ready until the summer). GM is doing more than just lowering the MSRP. On top of the federal and state tax incentives available, GM is offering bonus cash in all three states ($1,000 in California, $1,200 in Maryland, and $3,500 in Oregon). If you're wondering why those numbers vary so much, take a look at the already-available state EV incentives in play: California offers $2,500 and Maryland $2,300. Somehow, they all balance out. If you do some addition with the $7,500 federal tax credit, you see that the Spark EV can be had for $11,000 off the MSRP no matter where you buy. If you qualify for everything, $14,995 is a darn good deal for an EV, especially one as fun as the Spark. Related Video: 2015 Chevrolet Spark EV Repriced to Offer Greater Value As low as $14,995 after full federal and state tax credits and Chevrolet Bonus Cash 2015-04-14 DETROIT – Chevrolet announced today Spark EV 1LT's new manufacturer's suggested retail price would start at $25,995. Depending on an individual's tax situation, the Spark EV is eligible for federal tax credit up to $7,500. "Chevrolet is committed to making EV driving more accessible, affordable and fun" said Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet Car and Crossover Marketing. "The Spark EV is already the most efficient – and one of the most affordable – EVs you can buy. 2015 Spark EV customers will benefit from an impressive blend of technology, capability and low cost of ownership, now at an even more impressive price." California and Maryland Spark EV owners may also qualify for a $2,500 California state rebate or $2,300 Maryland excise tax exemption. Additional Chevrolet bonus cash is also available: $1,000 in California, $1,200 in Maryland, and $3,500 in Oregon. After full federal and state tax credits and Chevrolet bonus cash, the Spark EV could be as low as $14,995.

There are still 6,000 first-gen Chevy Volts on dealer lots

Sun, May 24 2015

The next-gen 2016 Chevrolet Volt looks to be a pretty fantastic vehicle with more electric driving range, better fuel economy than its predecessor, and a lower starting price. However, if you're looking for a deal, the 2015 model of the plug-in hybrid might not be a bad place to check because Chevy has a ton of them to get rid of. According to The Detroit Free Press, there are around 6,000 examples of the 2015 Volts that are still sitting on dealer lots. That might not sound like a lot, but Chevy only sold 905 of them in April and 2,779 through that month in 2015. It moved 18,805 of the PHEVs for all of 2014. Buyers are in a pretty good spot to haggle at the moment, too, with the a new Volt right around the corner. According to The Detroit Free Press based on TrueCar figures, the current average closing price for a 2015 model is $30,607 before any federal or state tax credits. You can also lease one for 39 months for $299 a month and $1,649 due at signing. In April, Chevy was reportedly offering customers 2.9-percent financing for 48 months and leases with no money down for buyers trading in a vehicle from a competitor. Of course, there's also always the option to buy a pre-owned example. Just a few months ago, prices for used Volts were reportedly as low as $13,000 at auction.
