Here's a little information on the car (taken from our website).
The Body was taken off of the frame & completely dissembled. Frame and most of all the metal (including bolts) were sandblasted and powder-coated. New motor mounts and bolts. The gas tank was removed and cleaned out. A new sending unit was installed for the fuel gauge. All the gas lines have been replaced.
All new brake system (lines, calipers, rotors, pads, master cylinder.) All the wheels were removed and bearings & seals installed. New set of 4 tires. New shocks installed all the way around. The exhaust system was replaced entirely to the factory exhaust.
The 327 engine was dissembled was professions who have had experience with "muscle" car engines. (Tommy, a man who helped, has a mechanics degree. He along with others he helped with this car, rebuilt a 400 engine for a 1967 Pontiac Firebird.) The engine block was bored 30 thousandths over. New crankshaft & camshaft was put back to factory specs. New oil pump, rod bearings & main bearings. The heads were reworked and all new pistons & rings. All new gaskets and seals. New water & fuel pumps. New alternator and starter. All new wires & coil, distributor cap. New carburetor. New clutch & tachometer cable. New heater core & hoses. New vacuum lines.Transmission was opened up and checked (everything was great!) and new seals were installed. All new "U" joints from front to back (including 2 shafts). 2 back wheels, and all new hardware and body put back on.
The interior as original as possible. As you can see in some of the pictures, the original dash is still in. It has a crack near the drive side glass. The inside of the car was repainted. A professional from Tennessee did most of the interior work. A local shop installed a new radio and aftermarket speakers which are located in the trunk area behind the seats. The radio (as pictured) looks like the original, but has a AUX input as well as many other functions. Springs were replaced in the seats along with the cushions and seat covers. A new set of door panels and new doors for the back door compartments (battery doors). New battery was installed. All new fuses and light bulbs. All new glasses and gauges. New light switch & headlights. The headlights were dissembled and sanded down and painted.
Door handles were replaced. New radio, speakers, & antenna. All new door seals. New latches for the top. The car was painted locally. New windshield wiper motor, but still needs wiper arms & reservoir.. Being a convertible, it's not driven in the rain. There hasn't been any need to install them.
As you can see from the pictures on the website, there's some issues with the car. The car was driven by a family member, and they put their elbow through the middle console (bad day...). There was ALOT of time & money spent restoring this car to completely restore it back to factory conditions as possible. This is a head turning car!

You are more than welcome to contact me with any other questions you may think of that was not answered above. Thank you!

Porsche 911 tops a list of must-have classics, but No. 2 is more of a surprise

Wed, Aug 9 2023

No surprise here: In Europe, the Porsche 911 is the most sought-after classic car. Surprise here: Slip-streaming the 911 in the most sought-after chart compiled by the Car & Classic marketplace is the Ford Mustang. Using the Google search engine as a means to pick the winners, as well as the average prices achieved on the “Car and Classic” website, the venerable 911 was tagged 1.45 million times per month according to data stretching back 15 years. The number of 911Â’s sold though the C&C marketplace was 21,141, at an average price of 58,409 pounds, or $74,300. FordÂ’s pony car, still a popular choice for buyers in Europe, placed second on the list with 1.2 million monthly searches. The average sales price over 15 years was 31,107 pounds ($39,570), and the number of older Mustangs sold reached a total of 8,332. Models that also finished among the charted top 10 include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Corvette, the ultra-classic British favorite Jaguar E-Type and the BMW 3 Series. “Whilst a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS could set you back the best part of GBP500,000 ($636,000), there are many more affordable models, which bring the average sale price of a 911 on Car & Classic to GBP58,000 ($73,800) – the third highest average selling price of any make and model on the site,” explained Dale Vinten of Car & Classic. According to the site, the Jaguar fetched the highest average selling price: a whopping 89,000 pounds, or $113,000. But thatÂ’s peanuts compared to a Series 1 Roadster in excellent condition, said Vinten. For that, “you can expect to spend up to GBP250,000 ($318,000), A Series 2 or 3 will cost less, as they are not as desirable, but in decent condition you can expect to pay around GBP40,000-GBP50,000. Even a barn find 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster can set you back to the tune of GBP33,000 ($42,000)." Launched in 2005, Car & Classic is among EuropeÂ’s most popular classic car clearinghouses. It also runs a stand-alone auction site.

2016 Chevy Volt orders start tomorrow

Thu, May 28 2015

For anyone in California who wants to be among the first adopters of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt, then May 28 is very important. Dealers in the Golden State get to be first to place orders for the range-extended electric vehicle on that day, but buyers in the rest of the US just have to wait a few months until their turn comes. This info comes from dealer data gathered by Inside EVs and confirmed by General Motors to AutoblogGreen. According to these slides, dealers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont must wait until August 27 to place an order for the Volt. Finally, the reservations for the rest of the nation open up on October 1. The first production of these new models starts in August after a six-week shutdown at the Hamtramck factory to prepare for it. We already know that the 2016 Volt starts at $33,170, plus $825 destination, before federal or state incentives and is available in seven exterior colors and five interior upholstery options. The sedan is offered in LT and LTZ trims. Opting for the higher level adds features like an upgraded audio system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, front and rear heated leather seats, wireless device charging, and Automatic Park Assist. A navigation system on an 8-inch screen and safety assist suite are also optional, according to these documents. Related Video:

No, Cadillac is not killing its flagship CT6 sedan

Sat, Jul 22 2017

Mark Twain never actually said that reports of his death had been greatly exaggerated. But if the Cadillac CT6 could talk, those are the exact words it would use. Speaking to Jalopnik, Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen confirmed, emphatically, "There is absolutely no plan, at all, to cancel the CT6." In fact, says de Nysschen, the CT6 will soon be the beneficiary of significant investment. "The [CT6] forms a very important part of our product strategy going forward for the brand. The car also has a very major contribution to make to the shaping of brand perceptions, and the transformational process that Cadillac is undergoing." For instance, expect the CT6 to spearhead General Motors' most advanced forays into self-driving automobile technology. Interestingly, though, the Cadillac ATS and CTS sedans probably won't live past their current generations as the automaker 're-balances its sedan portfolio.' Replacement models are "in development" right now, says de Nysschen, which will "much more clearly separate the market position, both in terms of target customer demographics, in terms of market segments and in terms of price points between these three sedan lineups." So, that's confirmation that the Cadillac CT6 is going to stick around for a while. But what of other models cited by Reuters to potentially be killed, like the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Impala and Volt? Read our take on that here, but suffice it to say that we don't think they're in danger, either.
