The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Not currently running/driving, was running when parked."

I purchased this vehicle in 1990 and was told, at that time, the engine had been rebuilt some 1500 miles prior. I drove the vehicle lightly for a couple of years before parking it in my barn. My intent was to restore it but time and other projects have altered those plans. The engine was fired and run a few times though it developed a lifter noise which would not stop even after repeated oil changes. It is not currently running nor driveable.(no brakes)

It is a nicely optioned car with correct bucket seats, stainless gas guard, bumper guards, a/t, AM radio and roof rack. The body is pretty straight with only a small dent in the passenger door and is free of rust except a small hole in the driver floor area. I believe this was caused from a leak in the windshield seal. It has the correct engine with the rear oil fill and dipstick. It comes with a set of correct wheel covers. It also has some replacement ROS interior trim pieces that are still in their box. It will be sold "as is, where is" and the buyer shall be responsible for any shipping arrangements and expense. I hold clear title in my name. No warranty implied or expressed. Vehicle is listed locally for sale and may be removed from this listing.

Chevy Silverado Midnight Edition, Custom ready to stand out in pickup line

Thu, Feb 12 2015

Chevrolet spent its Chicago Auto Show introducing a pair of fullsize pickups that promise image-conscious buyers a truck experience that goes beyond the standard range, with the murdered-out Midnight Edition and the um, not murdered-out, Custom. Let's start with the Custom, which adds 20-inch alloys, as well as chrome bumpers, mirror caps and door handles to the Silverado LS. Available in both V6 and V8 varieties, and with the customer's choice of two- or four-wheel drive, the Silverado Custom is the decidedly mellower example of Chevy's special edition styling. The Midnight Edition, meanwhile, throws subtlety out the window with a menacing set of visual upgrades. Based on the Z71, the Midnight adds 18-inch wheels, a spray-in bedliner and unique Z71 and Bowtie badges, all in black, of course. The front and rear bumpers, headlamp bezels, tow hooks, mirror caps and door handles, are also finished in the stealthy shade. Check out our live images of both special edition trucks, and let us know what you think down in Comments.

Engine block heater issues force GM to recall 324,226 diesel heavy duty trucks

Tue, May 7 2019

General Motors has issued a recall on 324,226 diesel heavy duty trucks that could be susceptible to short circuits, and consequently, potential fire. The recall affects several models of heavy duty Chevrolet Silverados and GMC Sierras with optional engine block heaters. GM is recalling seven different truck models spread across three years. The recall affects the 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, 2017-2019 Silverado 3500HD, 2019 Silverado 4500HD, 2019 Silverado 5500HD, and 2019 Silverado 6500HD, plus the 2017-2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 2017-2019 Sierra 3500HD. Specifically, it includes these models with the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engines and the optional engine block heater. The recall technically deals not with the engine block heater itself, but the way it is connected. According to NHTSA campaign No. 19V328000, the engine block heater cord or the terminals that link the cord to the heater could short circuit. A short circuit could potentially damage engine components and result in a fire. According to The Detroit News, 19 fires have been reported but nobody has been injured. GM has yet to figure out a fix, and thus has not yet released a notification schedule for affected customers. If you believe your vehicle is part of the recall, contact GM customer service at 1-586-596-1733 and use reference number N182206310.
