No Reserve!! "Scratch & Dent Special"!! 2005 Chevy Cobalt LS sedan!! 141,000 highway miles. Runs and drives super!! The Silver Metallic exterior has certainly seen better days. Just about every panel has some sort of ding, dent or scratch on it. The passenger side doors have been replaced by the previous owner as they were damaged, and you can see damage in the rear door sill. All the doors, hood and trunk open and close just fine. The rear tires have decent tread on them, but the fronts are almost bald and need replacement. The grey cloth interior is in nice, but there are some carpet stains. Power windows, power door locks, AM/FM/CD stereo, hot heat and ice cold A/C, all working fine. The 4-cylinder engine starts right up and runs great! The automatic transmission shifts fine, brakes feel good. The front struts make a little noise over heavy bumps, but overall this Cobalt runs and drives very nicely!! Someone is going to get a great deal!! Being sold at NO RESERVE!! Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions!!

** Important information! Please read! **

Do not bid unless you have the funds to pay for it immediately available! Your finances must be in place prior to placing a bid! Your bid is not contingent upon me waiting for you to come up with the money or be approved for a loan. Your bid is not contingent upon an inspection. All inspections must be done prior to placing a bid! Full payment is due within three business days of auction close! Thank you!!

Non-paying bidders: Due to a rash of non-paying bidders, the successful bidder that does not follow through with the transaction (a legal contract) will be reported to eBay, and will be forwarded to a collection agent. I am forced to do this to recoup my losses from listing fees and wasted time! Please only bid if you ready, willing and able to buy the car!

About me & my cars: I am a licensed and bonded auto dealer here in New Jersey. I have over ten years of experience selling cars here on eBay. The majority of the cars I offer here were trade in's at new car dealerships. Rather than taking these vehicles to the dealer auction, I'm selling them here on eBay. This means wholesale prices to you, and I can turn over my inventory quickly. I do not have the service or maintenance history or any other documentation unless otherwise stated. The cars I offer here are not new, they are used! Some maintenance items may need to be addressed, and there may be some wear consistent with the age and mileage of the car. Please read the description and review all photos carefully! If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!!

Warranty: All of my cars are sold "as-traded", "as-is".

Payment: The successful high bidder must make the non-refundable $199 PayPal deposit within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment is due within 3 days of auction close via certified funds. Cash in person, bank check, certified check, money orders or bank wire transfer are the only acceptable forms of payment.

Taxes & Title: You will be responsible for registration, taxes and title fees when you register the car in your home state. New Jersey residents will be required to pay 7% sales tax on the high bid price. All titles are in my possession, owned outright and are "clean", with no liens or encumbrances. I do not deal with salvaged, flooded, storm damaged or wrecked cars.

Pickup: Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of auction close. I can issue a 20-day temporary tag (30-day for NJ residents) with a valid US drivers license and proof of insurance. Because I am tight on storage space, a $10/day storage fee will be assessed after 10 days.

Transportation: I am located one hour from either Newark International Airport (EWR) or Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), and a half hour from Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN). In most cases, I will be available to pick you up during business hours, as well as the nearest bus stop or train station.

Fees: There is a non-negotiable $199 document fee added to the high bid price of each transaction. This helps cover the costs associated with the temp tag, transportation, title work and operating costs.

Here are all the EVs with 800V charging available in 2024

Fri, May 31 2024

As technology advances, electric cars are improving their fast-charging times. That means less time spent waiting at a DC public charger when you’re out on the road. While Level 3 chargers used to provide a maximum of 150 kilowatts of power, 350-kW chargers are become more common, making for super-fast charging Â… if your car is capable of taking advantage of it. So how do automakers improve the charging speed of their EV batteries? Some are turning to higher voltage, specifically 800V charging. What's the difference between 800-volt charging and 400-volt charging? So how does 800V charging improve upon the more common 400V EVs? Put simply, the higher the voltage, the less amperage (current) it requires to charge. In other words, with more voltage, you get more wattage (power, aka charge rate) from the same amperage (current). 800V architecture is also more efficient, with less electrical resistance, so it can use thinner cables and smaller, lighter components while needing less cooling. The tradeoff is that it is more costly, and guess who that cost gets passed on to. While automakers don't break down their pricing to show how much more you're paying for that 800V system, you'll just have to evaluate any potential purchases as a whole, and make your decision based on overall pricing of the vehicle. Thankfully, the 800V EVs on sale now are generally ones we like. Now, 800V charging capability doesn't necessarily mean an EV has 800V vehicle architecture. For instance, the GMC Hummer EV and Chevy Silverado EV operate at 400V, but with their dual battery packs, can switch to 800V when charging by temporarily connecting those packs in series. Currently, there are only a handful of EVs available with 800V charging. But if you are going to find yourself taking longer trips in your EV and using DC fast chargers more often, you might want to consider choosing one with this faster charging capability. With that in mind, these are the EVs available with 800V charging, either on sale now or coming in 2024. 800-volt EVs available in 2024 Audi E-Tron GT Chevrolet Silverado EV Genesis GV60 Genesis Electrified G80 Genesis Electrified GV70 GMC Hummer EV Pickup GMC Hummer EV SUV GMC Sierra EV* Hyundai Ioniq 5 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Kia EV6 Kia EV9 Lotus Eletre* Lotus Emeya* Lucid Air Lucid Gravity* Porsche Macan Electric* Porsche Taycan Ram 1500 REV* Tesla Cybertruck *Coming later in 2024 Green Audi Chevrolet Genesis GMC Hyundai Kia Lotus Porsche Tesla Electric Lucid EV charging

GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show

Thu, Dec 15 2016

Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures

Tue, Jun 23 2020

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski  Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
