2005 CHEVROLET COBALT SS COUPE 2.0L ECOTEC SUPERCHARGED 5-SPEED LEATHER INTERIOR MOON ROOF MECHANIC'S SPECIAL LOCAL TRADE PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING We at CAMPBELL BROTHERS AUTO SALES INC. are offering for sale this 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT SS with a 2.0L SUPERCHARGED ECOTEC ENGINE and 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION with 103,632 miles. This vehicle was traded in by a local gentleman in which we sold it to about 5 years ago with only 22,996 miles on it. He decided he needed a truck more than a sports car and traded it in. However after negotiating the deal he was on his way home to clean out his car and a seal in the engine failed causing the engine to loose most of it's oil. He did not shut the engine off soon enough resulting in the engine locking up. The engine is now stuck and will not turn over. Therefore we are selling this vehicle to BE IN NEED OF ENGINE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. He stated that he had never had any trouble with the car before with the exception of the clutch which was replaced about a year ago. This car can look good but needs a complete detail. This car was daily driver and not a show car. It needs buffed and polished along with a thorough interior cleaning. With all of that being said this vehicle has the potential to be a fun and fast little sports car. The body and exterior as already stated needing polished is in good condition. A fiberglass hood was added which matches well with the large rear spoiler. The interior although needing cleaned is not badly worn and the two tone leather with embroidered SS logos will clean up well. If you are looking for a ready to drive show car keep looking. But, if you have the mechanical ability or a friend that does this could make you an inexpensive COBALT SS or a NICE PROFIT! The paint is not broken and should be easy to push out. The left mirror is broken. There is a small area on the roof where the clear coat is peeling. The wheels are oxidized and there is a crack in the left upper corner of the windshield out of vision. As stated above, this car will quickly look good again but needs some help. INTERIOR: Dirty. The interior is dirty and needs a thorough detailing. However the interior will clean up well. DRIVE TRAIN: ENGINE IS STUCK AND WILL NOT TURN OVER. Tire tread is fair to poor. Deciding to take all of that work on yourself doesn't make things any easier, but it can only increase your connection to the project. Don Rogers, the subject of the latest video from Petrolicious, shows this passion perfectly with his duo of 1964 Chevrolet Impalas – a hardtop and convertible. Both of these Chevys had been sitting for years before Rogers got his talented hands on them, and he did all of the work himself. Now, driving the pair is therapy for him, and he's not worried about anything breaking because he knows he can put it back together. Rogers says he enjoys wrenching on his vehicles even more than going to shows. Doing your own work comes with advantages, like tailoring a project's look to your preferences. It's not original, but Rogers used the crimson interior color from a '59 Impala on his convertible to make the interior pop with the top down. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy teases Bolt driving range, China pursues EV subsidy cheaters
Tue, Sep 13 2016Chevy is teasing the Bolt's driving range, which it is set to reveal on Tuesday. It will certainly be able to travel more than 200 miles between charges, but the second and third digits in that value, as it stands today, are still question marks. On its Facebook page, Chevrolet is asking fans to try to guess the official range. Of course, Tesla fans have already started posting their own snide remarks in the comments. Chevy fans are certainly hoping to see the Bolt's range eclipse that of Tesla's upcoming Model 3, which the California-based automaker puts at 215 miles. Fuel cell company PowerCell Sweden says it has signed an agreement with a Chinese company to make range extenders for commercial trucks. The unnamed Chinese customer has placed an order and signed a memorandum of understanding with PowerCell Sweden, and the partners will develop methanol reformer fuel cell range extenders for electric distribution trucks. "Our unique expertise in fuel cells and reformer technology is receiving an increasing attention worldwide and we are truly pleased to get another Chinese order," says PowerCell Sweden Sales Director Andreas Boden. After the country's Ministry of Finance penalized five companies with fines and, in one case, revocation of production license for subsidy cheats, China has since named 20 more potential violators, including Nissan, Hyundai, JAC, and a subsidiary of BYD. Of the first five companies to be punished under the investigation, Suzhou Gemsea Coach Manufacturing is having its production license revoked, while four others, including a subsidiary of Chery, are being fined for about half of the subsidies received.
